Axel Bloom

I always thought that ads that said a bed changed their life were a lie, then I bought an Axel Bloom bed. After back surgery sleep was a war zone, every morning it would take me an hour to feel okay enough to get on with my day. A friend suggested Axel Bloom beds and I went to the store in Westwood and spoke with Yong and a great young woman named Desi, they spent 2 hours with me, moving mattresses around, and having me try different things. They were incredibly helpful, kind, knowledgable, interesting and not pushy. I waited a few months and finally couldn’t take it anymore and went back to Axel Bloom. Once again they spent well over an hour making sure everything was perfect. They did not try to upsell me at all. I ordered the bed and Young came to my house with a technician to make sure everything was set up exactly right for me. I couldn’t believe I woke up the next morning, I had 90% less pain and just got right up and into the shower. That was a month ago and I am an entirely new person. The only problem I can see with my new bed is I never want to get out of it! I can’t thank Yong and Desi enough. The customer service and product are outstanding. I don’t know that I have ever been so sure that I absolutely made the right purchase. I wish all shopping experiences were as fun and pleasant as my one at Axel Bloom.

I was absolutely impressed by the professional presentation and demonstration offered by Mr. Yong Lee. He was both engaging and informative whilst guiding you to the product best suited for your needs. And the products truly speak for themselves. Quality and engineering that far surpassed all the otherwise fine sleep systems we had explored. You owe it to yourself to look into the Axel Bloom mattress systems. Far and away the best sleep I’ve had in years. Aches and pains I’d taken for granted have vanished, and I awaken refreshed and invigorated.
I have had mine for a couple of months now and I really have only one regret. I wish I had found Yong and Bonnie, and the Axel Bloom system 10 years ago. Make that 20 years ago!

My wife and I are Tempur-​Pedic converts to Axel Bloom.

Boy am I ever glad to discover Axel Bloom! Yong and Bonnie made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in their store. I chose the Luma Piede with Drawers and a beautiful yellow fabric covered Headboard. I added two tray-​like tables that slide along the sides of the frame, as I wasn’t certain if space permitted nightstands. I’ve been delighted with the quality of the bed and mattress, and I’ve been getting night after night of restful sleep. The Austroflex pillows enhance the overall experience, as they are extremely comfortable and provide excellent support for both head and neck. The home delivery in Los Angeles went smoothly, and their customer service simply cannot be beat. Get to Axel Bloom in Westwood for the best beds in the world!

Wow. I just walked out of this store and feel enlightened. The owner is a straight shooter, and a natural born educator. It is truly refreshing and entertaining speaking to him; the kind of guy you’d feel lucky to be seated next to at a dinner party. This was the first stop on our search for a couch, but you quickly see that what is being offered here doesn’t have much in the way of competition. I hope to be a (repeat) customer of his in the near future.

Flawless is the way I would describe the interaction with Yong and his team. I live in Boston, MA and bought the bed and frame without ever testing it. I had some knowledge of the European set up as I was born and raised in Germany, but couldn’t find a retailer on the East Coast (go figure). When I contacted Yong I had back issues and he patiently talked me through my options.
I purchased the DW800 with the slat systems, 8 months ago. Yong and the team packaged the system very safely, and it arrived in perfect condition. They were also incredibly helpful to walk us through assembly… The most comfortable sleep experience ever– no more back pain. — and to stress it again— I made the decision based on the in depth discussion I had with Yong over the phone!!! I recently went back and ordered the Piedi frame, again the transaction, delivery and advice with assembly, amazing. Now on top of being comfortable the bed is also very good looking. Thanks again.

My wife and I bought a split cal king Axel Bloom bed in 2012 and love it so two months ago we bought a full size bed for our guest room. These beds are the most comfortable and supportive beds either of us have ever owned. Buh bye back pain and restless, tossing and turning nights. My wife and 4 year old son love the soft mattress toppers but I prefer a firmer set up and go without one.
Most of the other reviewers have summed up the same experience we’ve had with AB including the excellent service and personal attention Yong provides in store and at home when he and his crew delivered our beds and set them up. Bonnie is also very thorough, professional and friendly.

Two years ago, I was strolling through Westwood window-​shopping when I was stopped in my tracks. There, before my very eyes, was a store that carried the kind of beds I was used to sleeping in in Switzerland. I was so excited to find these beds again. Since I lived in America I contemplated so many times if I should have my sister ship my bed to here. Shipping was too expensive, but I missed it so much. Nothing is more important for me than a good night of sleep. Now I saw that bed in the window! I just could not believe it!
I walked in and spoke with Lee. I explained that I was a student, and a very frugal one at that. But I promised that when I could get the money together I would be back to buy that bed. I did not go out to cafés or buy extra clothes. I rent a room in a house. The most important thing was to have a really good night’s sleep.
One year later, I did go back. Lee was still there and remembered me! I was able to buy the bed of my dreams, that adjustable bed and mattress. I know it sounds a little weird but I am a better person when I sleep really good at night. I am able in the morning to concentrate and study and that is my priority in my life. I also have no longer a back pain.
Now a year later, I can confirm that the bed exceeded my expectations. I am 57 years old and wake up rested every morning. Lee was great. He delivered and installed the bed personally. He walked me through all the functions and did not leave until I was happy. I highly recommend Axel Bloom in Westwood, and Lee in particular! But much more then that, I wished that in America the people discover also the bed system we need to be free and happy the next morning.

We bought our beds 2007 and have never regretted it. The mattress DW800 Euro is unbeatable. Firm, yet not too firm, it allows a comfortable sleep, and together with the adjustable motorized bed frame it is the most beneficial sleeping solution available. Other reviewers have already mentioned the benefit of sleeping with the increased head part. My wife used also the foot increase regularly. After 7 years, one cannot see traces of use on the mattress.
One other huge advantage is that the mattress is relatively light and not too thick. One can easily lift it for changing covers and sheets or to turn it over, if needed. And it comes with a washable cover! Extremely practical.
The service provided by Yong and Bonnie is very personal. This is their life and to help their clients is their mission. Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.

We had been a long time (20+year) devotee of a Dux Bed and were satisfied with its
general level of comfort but because of its traditional construction, it was not adjustable.
My wife and I felt we needed a bed that had the ability to be multi purpose. In addition,
I was experiencing a persistent morning cough, my internist said «nothing wrong» but try
propping a couple of pillows under my upper body to elevate it slightly, the pillows
moved around, sometimes it would help but most of the time the use of pillows was
ineffective. So I set out trying to find a solution, and I did with Axel Bloom beds and
its owners Yong and Bonita Lee. The first time we stepped into the store it was
apparent that this was a very personal business. Yong explained the technology very thoroughly and we tried several of the bed/​mechanism combinations. Very calm and
competent but also with enthusiasm. The mattress itself was easily the equal of our top of the line Dux but with the infinite adjustability that several whisper quiet motors and a unique «box spring» can achieve. The combination of motorized positioning and the personally customizable mattress/​box spring is unique in both its form and function, a truly elegant solution to a personalized bed. Yung and Bonita’s customer service is really personal service and an equal to the quality of the product they sell, both in a class by themselves. Yong personally installed the bed in our home and carefully explained the wireless controls. He then gave us his card with his cell phone number on it, with the admonition of call me ²⁴⁄₇ if you have a question/​concern, personal service doesn’t get any better than that. If you are looking for the best, Axel Bloom could be the last stop on your search for the perfect bed, it was for us.

I bought an Axel Bloom bed a year ago. At the time I had ongoing back issues and when I got up in the morning (had a sleep number bed at the time), I was always bent over with back pain.
First morning after the Axel Bloom bed was installed, no back pain. Thought that was a bit too soon to give credit to the bed so just thought it was a coincidence. I was totally wrong there. Since the installation of this bed system that has always been my experience. When I get up in the morning my back is great, I am not hunched over as I had been before and thought was my new «normal».
I am just amazed that this bed change made such a huge difference in this back situation.
This doesn’t even get to the amazing service and sales information we got when we originally went to the store. And, stunningly, we were actually undersold, told we didn’t need the upgrades that I was totally ready to go for. Plus we got such a thorough explanation of the technology of the bed (mathematical me loved that part, others may not). Don’t forget to get their pillows. We took them home the day we purchased the bed and fell monumentally in love with them.
I just can’t say enough about this experience. The folks at the store are amazing, give you so much good information, don’t pressure you or try to make you buy something and really, maybe they should, just cause it would be to your benefit.
As I said, I have now had this bed for at least a year, and OMG I just thing I have died and gone to heaven.
There are very few purchases I have made in my life that more than a year later, I can still feel giddy about.

So, for the past 9 months, my husband and I have been sleeping on the first version of the sleep number bed. As time has gone by, the bed required us to adjust the firmness of the bed on a day basis. Over the past few weeks, the firmness we set did not even last through the night. After sleeping on a «deflated balloon» for about two weeks, we took the suggestion from a very good friend and visited Axel Bloom in Westwood, CA.
I called the store and spoke to Bonnie, who was very warm and told us to just come in and try the beds out. I gave her my name and told her that we would be there later that day. Upon entering, Bonnie welcomed me and my husband by first name. Then Yong came and told us about how they were expecting us all afternoon. My reason for mentioning all this is because, both Yong and Bonnie, really made us feel comfortable and special, not like just another customer.
Yong gave us the tour and explanation about the slat systems and the mattresses. We tried a few out. Yong spend extra time with us adjusting the slats/​mattresses to ensure we get the exact comfort level that we needed. We fell in love with it. Words cannot express the comfort level of being on the Axel Bloom beds verse being on any other bed.
Yong and Bonnie worked very hard at putting together an unbeatable deal for us. Of course, the cost seems high at first, but after thinking about what we are paying for — a bed that will mostly last you a lifetime, $$$ saved on medical or chiropractor bills, and restful sleep through the night, it was an easy decision to move forward with the purchase.
In the past, I have spent about $ 1,000 on a nice bed and box spring that began to sink in 2 years, even turning the mattresses did not really change/​affect anything. The Axel Bloom beds will probably last 15+ years — without sinking! As for the experience of sleeping, for the first time in a long time, I was able to sleep through the entire night and wake up the next morning completely rested and refreshed! That itself is priceless!
My husband and I also decided to go ahead and purchase the slat system that is motorized. Since both of us are on our feet all day, we love the feature of being able to elevate our legs (without a ton of pillows) and/​or being able to prop up to watch TV/​read in bed. No need to by a separate recliner!
We also purchased the pillows. They are awesome! They contour to your head and neck perfectly! A must have!
Delivery was very easy as well. Yong and a few of his workers came and put the bed together in no time. They were prompt, quick and clean!
I would HIGHLY recommend anyone that is in the market to buy a bed to visit Axel Bloom. It will change your life!
