Audrey Yoon, MD – Smile Design & Beyond

Let me preface this review by explaining my utter passionate hatred for dentistry. I was scarred as a kid with the scariest, most aggressive old man of a dentist and I pretty much stayed away from them as a whole as I was older. Now on to the present in regards to Dr. Yoon and her staff… they are wonderful! I’m pretty sure I cried at least 3 times in her office but she has made my journey to straight teeth a comfortable and well informed one. She is always smiling and though busy– will always make it a point to see you and check on your teeth. She answers all my questions and has never made me feel scared (well maybe when I was told I needed extractions but thats a given) or dumb for the fear I had about the whole process. Her staff is friendly and they all know what they are doing.
I’m actually really glad I didn’t get braces as a kid through my childhood dentist as this way seemed the right fit for me and my personality. I guess thats the perk of being an «adult»; being able to choose your own dentist/​orthodontist. I’m supposed to be finishing up my treatment mid march so I’m very excited for that. I know I will need refinements but with the major movement all done; I’m hoping for a shorter and more pleasant set of trays. Thanks Dr. Yoon for perfecting my smile: D

Dr. Yoon and her staff set themselves apart. Ive had a bad experience the first time I got my braces and then I met Dr. Yoon who drastically changed my ortho experience. She was very honest with me about the condition of my teeth and was realistic about what i can expect. Her staff are soo nice, i always feel so welcomed each month i go in. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yoon as the orthodontist to see whether its your first time or youre looking into getting ortho treament for the second time.

I have been receiving orthodontic work from Dr. Yoon for over a year and I’m very happy with the services that are provided to me by her and her staff. The Dr is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The staff have all shown to be very professional and approachable. My understanding is that Dr. Yoon is able to provide different types of dental brace options (I would suggest having the options conversation with her prior to making a final decision). I was able to set up a reasonable payment plan to pay off my orthodontic work. Needless to say, I’m content with my decision to pursue my invisilign treatment because I have seen positive changes in my smile and my overall experience has been good. I was recommended to Dr. Yoon by my dentist, who shares the same office with Dr. Yoon. The location of the office is also central, as it is on Wilshire, they have structure parking, and they are close to the metro station.

Most of my life I had never been comfortable smiling. Mainly for the fact that I didn’t like my ‘not so perfect’ teeth. After finally becoming brave enough to bare the ordeal of orthodontic work, I had looked around at several orthodontic offices. Luckily, I came across Audrey Yoon Orthodontics and from the start I knew I had found the right place. The staff are very (I should say extremely) friendly and are quite knowledgeable dealing with my insurance, always keeping me up to date, etc.
Upon meeting Dr. Yoon you will notice that she is always smiling and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. I was confident with the task at hand as we thoroughly discussed what I wanted to get done and what I was comfortable with. I had been to a different doctor who had suggested breaking my jaw to fix my teeth — I was like whoa! no way! But Dr. Yoon worked with me and put me at ease that it could be done several ways.
Well, to say the least, I was very impressed with the results that were attained. I mean, now I’m smiling all the time to make up for the times I didn’t smile before or smiled with my hand over my mouth. Dr. Yoon is a consummate professional and never let you feel like there is nothing she can’t tackle. I’ll be honest, I was a troublesome patient — I had questions galore and high expectations. But, Dr. Yoon and her staff never faltered as they kept up with me and the results speak for themselves.
I completed my orthodontic work early this year and to this day I continue to get compliments on my smile. Bear in mind orthodontic work takes time and effort but with Dr. Yoon and her team you will get that great smile without even breaking a sweat! I’m not one to boast but I’ve never been happier with my smile and it shows. :)
