ART SQuare at Downtown LA Art Walk

SCAM ARTIST ALERT! Artists, DO NOT under any circumstances deal with these scam artists! Please see the other two reviews, it’s 100% true.
The con man behind this organization is DERRICK KNIGHT, who is a notorious scammer out of Florida. He’s been run out of town numerous times scamming musicians and screwing over people promoting parties, and not paying the musicians! How very interesting. We see a pattern developing here with his «ArtWalk»… another manifestation of his infamous «Rock Summit» scam he held in Florida, Louisiana, Virginia, etc.
DO NOT give him your credit card information or bank information!
Everyone needs to know what kind of person runs this place. He’s a greedy con artist who has been travelling all over and bilking honest, hardworking people out of their money. From court documents it is clear that he has screwed over a ton of people all over the United States!!! And get this… he also runs a scummy hostel called Moonpad in Boyle Heights where he scams people out of deposit money and overcharges their credit cards.
If you are curious about this scam artist DERRICK KNIGHT, please read up about all his long history of scamming people below. BE WARNED. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HIM, protect yourself, your money, and your bank account information. Never give this man any info about your bank. Tell everyone you know in town about this shady man and get his ass out of our town!!!

Careful artists, it’s a SCAM, and Paypal wont protect you cause it’s a service not a product, these people are taking money and that’s it.

This event is no longer taking place, however their website is still accepting payments for booth space each month. I paid for space for the event said to be on 11÷8÷12 during the LA Art Walk and when I showed up at the place and time there was nothing, no one there. I have tried to be in contact through various ways and not recieved a response or refund so I caution you NOT to sign up with this organization. I don’t know what happened or why, but this is what happened to me and I would like to caution you from having to deal with this yourself.
Update: My bank issued a refund from this business, however during the process I received creepy emails from them asking for me to please let them keep the money in exchange for space at any of their other events. Their company is called Moonbridge Productions/​Derrick Knight. This is a scam, please do yourself a favor and RUN, don’t walk, from this fraudulent business!

ART SQuare is such a fun organization where they book such eclectic, talented, and creative artist for the night of Downtown LA Art Walk. As a local its nice to have great organization that organized all types of artist, jewelry, fashion designers all in one location. It’s like a your own local mall with local artist. What a great way to support the community :)
