I needed some replacement parts for my Team Associated B4.2 buggy and thought I’d pop into this place since it was near my work. It’s a quaint shop and it seemed to have a decent selection of trains, helicopters, drones but not alot on the RC car front. The other ½ of the store looked like it was geared towards more kid friendly products. I ended up having to go to another hobby shop I was more familiar with who has loads of parts at the ready but overall this place was pretty decent.

I’ve bought several blade helis and parkzone airplanes here. Has a good selection of replacement parts. The owner is helpful and nice. There’s less selection if you’re interested in larger helis. One of the only Horizon Hobby retailers in the south bay.

One of my favorite hobby places. Always have what I need or can get it in a prompt timeframe for me through ordering it. I even get a phone call when my order arrives at their shop. I love the personal feel of the place too. I have to force myself to leave because half the time I can’t stop talking with them about new releases or flight experiences. I will always return.

I’m just getting into rc Helis, and quadcopters. Thought I’d check out the local place, and noticed they moved a half block away. I went in during the middle of the day and was the only customer. Wasn’t spoken to until I said hello, and good bye/thank you. Not one word of, let me know if you need help, or if you have questions. He just sat behind the counter ignoring the one and only potential customer. I probably wasn’t going to buy that day, just wanted some expert advice and direction. A week later I went to Hobby People in Torrance with the same intentions, and left with my first starter quadcopter, largely because they were so helpful, which got me excited about the hobby. I’ve already outgrown what I bought that day and am ready to spend big money on something high end. Hobby people doesn’t cary what I need, or I’d spend it with them. I did find Hobby House in Reseda, whom I’ll be doing my future business with, especially since they were so helpful. It’s a shame that I have to go so far, since I live 3 signal lights from Apelan. In this age were they have to compete with online sales, I’d expect any business looking to stay in business to be much better at customer service. At minimum, at least speak to your customer.

One of the few walk-in hobby shops in the greater Los Angeles area. Nicely stocked, friendly staff, family owned(I think), and reasonable prices. Good selection of toys for boys and girls of all ages. Dolls, action figures, RC planes, trains and automobiles.

Pretty cool shop, has lots of Parkzone and Spektrum products. The previous reviewer ‘Anonymous C.’ is incorrect. I had my friend buy some spare parts that we didn’t end up using, and per their return policy we were able to exchange them for other goods. Most hobby shops have similar policies such as 15 day exchange credit. Also due to the nature of hobby products, problems can arise(especially with flight craft), but its up to the hobbyist to fix or repair it themselves. I bought a glider from Hobby People that I crashed many times and always repaired it myself so it flew like new again. I once had a LiPo battery fail on me and sent it to the manufacture(which typically have 3 months warranty) and they replaced it for free within the week.

Stopped by this place. I prefer It was better the Allied Train in culver city. This place is also very competitive in prices. They carry a variety of trees for your train scenery. Carries a variety of Kato products and train tracks for your scale N set. Does not have scale n people. I really enjoyed this place. Everyone said Hi to me. A family oriented business. A nice place to check out. They carry Scale N locomotives, tracks, and some Kato products. I will be back. They also take Amex.

This place is great. Huge selection of RC helicopter parts(especially E-Flite), helpful, kind and knowledgable staff. They’ve helped me out of a few bad landings.

I was impressed with this place. They had a FAR better selection of paints than the bigger places around LA(I’m thinking of Hobby People for one), and their prices are good. The guy that helped me was knowledgeable and helpful as well. I’ll be back.
