Great pupusas on this side of town, can’t complain about it… Service is as any other pupusa place, and food is always great

This place was a nice surprise for my family and I because we are overwhelmed with all the Mexican restaurants nearby so it’s hard to find a good Salvadoran restaurant near us. We usually travel to Los Angeles for some good pupusas(which is the most popular traditional dish from El Salvador) there simply aren’t decent pupusas around. Being half Salvadoran myself and dating a Salvadoran man since forever we are very particular about our pupusas !!! Pupusas are handmade maize stuffed tortillas usually with cheese and other ingredients depending on your preference. They can’t be greasy or too big or even skimpy with whatever it supposed to be stuffed with . That’s why I am so happy to have found this little restaurant. The pupusas here are a perfect size not super sized but a decent size with a good amount of cheese and other ingredients. They are not greasy either. They are served with typical red salsa which isn’t spicy at all and curtido and they both compliment the pupusas well. We also ordered the empanadas which are my Achilles heel. They are a dessert of sorts which is a stuffed pastry, outside being fried plantain but stuffed with refried beans or a cream custard and they both are to die for. They are served in a set if 3 and about 3 inches long each. They are a must !!! We ate at the restaurant and the food was served fresh and the service was great. Oh and it’s cash only !!! It doesn’t have a parking lot just street parking and it’s hard to miss because it’s small but if you do you will never forget about it! Try it if you’re in the mood for good pupusas !
