3.5 stars. «I like coffee and I like tea!» well actually no, I just like tea. But — this place sure does have a huge selection of both! Quirky, secluded and nigh 24 hours — this is a perfect place to get away to study or just hang to chit chat. Good food too. Free wifi. The only sucky thing is that the«outdoor» isn’t really out the door. So people can still smoke in this area and the fumes come in. Bleh. Hence the .5 star docking. Otherwise, «I’ve got a feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good good night.» Oh the cashier only spoke in Korean — so communicating was a bit hard.

Meh, just your typical Koreatown café with servers that speak passable English. The menu isn’t impressive at all. And they allow smoking indoors. Really now, have you no regard for the laws of California? And for the music, turn that shit off. Have you ever heard of jazz or classical music? Lounge music? KPop is a type of music that is certainly not befitting for a café. So what, you like it? Yeah, well I like heavy metal myself. Do I think it should be blared out loud in a café? Fuck no. Avoid this place like the plague. The owner(s) here need to learn a thing or two about managing a proper café in this country. Here’s a fact that is hard to swallow for you folks: this is America, not Korea. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

While I am writing this review, I am actually at Café Anytime and it’s nearly 1am. I’ve been here since 8:30pm studying with my friend. This place was first introduced to me by a couple of other friends that came here to study and hanging out and since then it has been my new favorite café in the Koreatown location. Anytime Coffee is a cute and small little café that has outdoor sitting permitting smoking and two tables indoor. In addition, there is an upstairs room that is really nice and cozy with leather sofas and tables for studying or just sipping on your coffee. My friends and I usually prefer to go up there when no one else is there yet so that it’s more private and if you have a large enough group of people going it’s like having the room all to yourself. The pricing here is really good(at least in comparison to most other cafes in Koreatown which charges about ~$ 6 for a cup of coffee). Anytime’s start around $ 3, which is a steal, half the price and free refills. So far I’ve tried the Green Tea(hot), Iced Green Tea, Iced Peach Tea, Orea Shake, and Strawberry juice and I’ve been pretty satisfied with it all thus far. Service is really good and the worker and owner are extremely friendly. The internet is also a good contributing factor for why I like this place. It’s pretty quick at least compared to places like Café Mak(on Shatto) which tends to either stop or just lag really badly. The only thing that I don’t really like is the parking situation. During the time the parking(it’s lot parking) is free, but at night time it’s valet($ 1). Overall though for the price, atmosphere, quality of service and drinks I wouldn’t mind paying that $ 1 just to come here and chill and study.

I agree with Cris S. This is a great place. There aren’t a lot of nonsmoking chairs, but the indoor-ish«patio» has a lot of room, although you’ll find smokers there every now and then(it’s a KTown joint). The guy who we usually see running the place is very nice. Menus are in English, although the staff doesn’t speak English well. But don’t let that deter you – they’re very, very nice to everyone, and you can just point to the menu as you read it in English. The coffee and drinks are overpriced compared to non-KTown coffee shops, but for some reason the KTown places are charging like a buck or two more per drink than your neighborhood coffee shop. Maybe because KTown coffee places aren’t about grabbing cups of coffee to go – instead, they’re about hanging out. The desserts are fantastic. Get the fruit bing-soo dish(«gua-eel yo-gu-ru-tu bing-soo»), which has different types of cut fruit, frozen yogurt or ice cream, shaved ice, and condensed milk(and maybe some red azuka beans, but I forget). The mocha shake is pretty good, too($ 5.50). There’s also a belgian waffle with fruit, chocolate drippings, and four kinds of ice cream. Parking is easy with a dedicated lot for the cluster of shops. There is also a korean restaurant and a phở place in the same complex. Parking is free during the day, but there’s a valet guy at night to stack the cars. Probably something like $ 2, although we’ve never had to pay b/c we’ve gone during the weekend afternoons to read or study/work.

This is the super cute coffee shop sitting in the Omni Plaza next to Phở 4000. I’ve been here multiple times to study. To be honest, I’m sitting here with a mango smoothie as I type this. I can’t believe it hasn’t been Unilocaled yet! There’s a big patio with lots of tables and heating lamps where people can watch whatever is on the big TV’s, and a couple of tables and a bar where people can set up to study inside. It’s a great place to study, with big tables and free wi-fi. They serve lots of different coffees, teas, smoothies, shakes, and desserts, and everything I’ve had has been good so far. It’s one of my favorite places to get things done on the weekends.
