I called about a steamer trunk that I have that has mold in it. When someone picked up the phone, I asked if I had the right business and they said yes. I then said that I have a steamer trunk with mold and wanted to know how I could get rid of the mold. The response was «Well you should learn not to call people at a quarter after 8 in the morning. We’re closed. Call back later.» I originally was expecting to get a voicemail message since it was early, but figured I’d call and just leave a message. If you’re going to be so ridiculously rude to potential customers since you’re closed, don’t bother answering the phone.

Decorating a friend’s apartment, I found myself in need of a large antique trunk with a modern spin. I had the good fortune of coming across Randall Barbera with whom I spoke the same evening. Not only did he have the perfect piece but he was knowledgeable, professional and a delight to speak with. The trunk was shipped as promised, arriving on time, and was exactly as pictured. My almost ‘impossible to please’ client was delighted with his purchase, and plans to take the piece to his home in Europe when he no longer commutes to the US.
