Lunar new year is coming up soon and I needed almond cookies that are tasty but don’t cost a fortune. After a quick search on Unilocal,I found Amay’s Bakery & Noodle. I love buying things directly from the manufacturer because I know that whatever I get is fresh and usually cheaper than retail stores. Amay’s Bakery and Noodle not only sells super fresh almond cookies, fortune cookies, and noodles, but they are also super friendly! Possibly the friendliest I’ve ever encountered in a wholesale to public setting. Located on the outskirts of DTLA, just off the 101 fwy, and at the end of a cul-de-sac, Amay’s looks like a nondescript warehouse. You can literally smell cookies baking as you drive up. Yum! Street parking is available. While there are a few pictures of different cookie and noodle products at the front counter, there are no prices posted nor is there a posted list of products sold. Their website has detailed product lists which is helpful to know prior to visiting the factory. The ladies working there are extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. Just tell them what you’re looking for and they can look up the price. I bought different sized boxes of almond cookies: 100 pcs($ 7.65), 36 pcs($ 4.26), 27 pcs($ 3.55), and irregular fortune cookies($ 2.25÷2 lbs). You can also get individually wrapped almond cookies for $ 21.20(200 pcs). While I didn’t buy the ‘regular’ fortune cookies their price for individually wrapped was 11.90÷6 lbs(approx 300 – 320 pcs). CASHONLY! It does take a few minutes for them to get the irregular fortune cookies. But, if you like fortune cookies and don’t care if they’re broken or misshapen, these are a steal, super fresh and tasty. My office gobbled them up! I haven’t yet tried the almond cookies but based on other reviews they should be pretty good too. All I can say is I’m a huge fan of Amay’s and I’ll definitely be back!

OH I finally made it to the factory!!! It’s tough getting here, since they are only open on weekdays AND close at 4:30. Lemme tell ya if you love these delicious fortune cookies like I do, it’s definitely worth the time & hassle. Yes you can buy a bag of these fortune cookies in China Town, but do you know for certain how fresh they are? Plus it is so cheap buying straight from the factory anyway. I got a plastic tub of fortune cookies for only $ 3.50& a large fortune cookie for $ 12.50. They also have those almond cookies everyone is crazy about & the crispy noodles. We were only going to buy some crispy noodles but unfortunately they are only sold in a 10lb box for $ 20(yes super cheap) but that’s a bit too much noodle for me.

My colleagues and I were gifted with a box of almond cookies, these cookies are the best we’ve had. I feel compelled to mention many of my colleagues are Asian. We have many local bakeries and we have enjoyed many flavorful treats. Amays almond cookies are just the right crispy texture, not too dense, the cookie taste buttery and flavorful. I highly recommend them! !

I always make sure to stop by when I’m in the area, and get a box of almond cookies. You walk into a factory-type place, and browse their limited selection of almond cookies, fortune cookies, dried noodles. They also sell day-old/broken cookies for cheap by the bag(like $ 1.50), which are still edible and good. Plus, the nice Asian grandma at the cash register always greets you with a warm-hearted smile, bless her soul!

I know you’re able to buy these cookies and noodles at the regular market… but when you get it here its probably way cheaper and its super fresh. They also have chocolate dipped fortune cookies as well as a giant dipped fortune cookie for special occasions i guess but i believe you need to special order those. I will definitely be coming back here for more cookies and noodles.

Very good tasting traditional Chinese cookies at reasonable price! We drove from Sacramento to LA and the first thing we did was to pickup two boxes of cookies by popular demand from the relatives.

Wholesale Asian cookie and noodle company. They also sell to the public. Their almond cookies are outstanding. Very good prices and very fresh. You can get all different kinds of fortune cookies and noodles. Parking is a major PITA though.

Almond cookie goodness! No more searching best quantity for the price. Far superior to those nasty 99¢ store play dough cookies. Lol!

BESTALMONDCOOKIESEVER. EVERRRRR. it’s kind of hard to find, located in the industrial area. if you go, it just looks like their factory, but you can definitely make purchases in the front. for $ 3.50 you can get about 36 cookies or something like that. everything is nicely packaged and ridiculously yummy. go and get the big box. you will not regret it.
