Allen Edwards Salon & Serenity Spa

oh lord where do I begin with Allen Edwards, except he is a complete tool! This actually happened to me many years ago before Unilocal even existed, however my biggest disappointment was with Allen himself so I am sure it still applies.
I had purchased a facial as a gift for my room mate at the salon in Studio City, and as it turned out it came with a coupon for half off any body treatment. SCORE!!! I had been getting my hair cut at this salon for years and LOVED my stylist, so now I will get to experience the spa as well. So when I needed a haircut I made my appointment to get a facial as well using my coupon. So when I went in I told the receptionist that I was there for a haircut and facial and handed her the coupon. She looked at it and said «great go get your haircut and let us know when you are done and we will set you up for your facial». After my cut I went back to the receptionist to let her know I was ready, and also reminded her of the coupon I handed her, she sent me back to get my facial. When I was done with that I came out to pay, and another receptionist then told me «Oh I wish someone would have told you, this coupon is not good for facials». WHAT??? I wish someone would have told me too, I would not have had it done! I paid the amount charged, but as the week went on I started to feel like I was a bit taken, as EVERYONE know what coupon I was expecting to use on this facial.
I called the spa and the manager told me that nothing could be done. I went in person and she told me the same thing. I asked to speak to Allen, who happened to be there that day. He told me holding the coupon up to for me to see, «I says right here it is good for body treatments, and your an adult I am sure you can read», I asked him if my face was part of my body, He said «No it is part of your head». Dumbfounded I reminded him that I had been getting my hair cut there for years and was a good customer, he said «Yeah and Jason told me how much he charges you for those cuts, and that needs to change too!». Now yeah since I followed my stylist to that salon from another salon he was charging me the rate he charged me at the past salon, but for a guys cut, high lights and product I would walk out spending well over $ 100.00 each time I went in. Finally after getting pissy he wadded up the coupon and tossed it to the receptionist and disgustingly said «Just take care of it», and stormed off. I am said that it came to that as I do miss getting my haircut by my guy. But I would feel like a bigger ass giving Allen Edwards any of my money!

I thought I had found my salon and stylist for life. Guess I was wrong! I had an appointment for Sunday 7÷25÷10 at 12:30. I had my husband drop me off across the street and as he drove away I noticed a sign that said they had moved locations. I called the number and spoke to their receptionist only to find out that my «stylist should have called me» to notify me AND that my stylist no longer worked there. While I am reasonable enough to understand that my stylist should have called me especially since she was leaving I still hold the salon partly responsible because it was them who had always called to confirm my appt. Had I gotten a call I might be more inclined to stay with the salon and go with one of their recommendations for a new stylist, but not after they left me stranded! Oh, and to top things off my husband had forgotten his cell phone so I had to call a cab to get home. In short, I was left stranded with no ride and a head full of hair that was badly in need for some attention.
