I’ve been coming to this place since it opened and it is still one of the best spots to get a great sandwich East of the 405. The name doesn’t lie — the bread is great. Crispy Italian bread that has been consistent every single time I’ve been. The prices are pretty reasonable, as the portions are quite large. I normally skip the sides they have, however… they make a great chocolate chip cookie that is worth dropping the $ 3 on(it’s also the size of 3 regular sized cookies). The vibe is that of a deli — order at the counter and then they call your name. The place is no frills. The kind of spot where you eat and then split. Some people mention the customer service not being great, but I’ve never had a problem. It’s a sandwich spot, and the sandwiches are great!

The burrata sandwich is absurdly good and the bread really is great. So do yourself a favor and order it. If you aren’t about that vegetarian life, add turkey to the sandwich. Order online and save yourself the waiting time. Also, free parking in the back!

Excellent quality bread. Great place to eat a sandwich, which is hard to find in LA. Great bread and many choices if you don’t like to eat tortured animals. I had the fresh mozzarella cheese with tomatoes. Yummmmmm…

Like a Bay Cities for Hollywood. It makes sense why they call it «All About the Bread» because when you take a bite, the whole inside of the sandwich falls out, leaving you with just bread. LOL Not saying that I don’t like it, but most times than not, these sammies are difficult to eat. I usually go for the tuna sandwich, but always wanted to try the meatball sub which always gets good reviews. Maybe next time. I do wish that they would offer Eggplant Parmesan sandwich like Bay Cities does, Sooooo good. Overall, I am a fan. The Customer service is always friendly, and if there is ever an issue, they are willing to fix it no problem.

We LOVE the sandwiches from this place. They have become a Sunday habit and free meter parking on La Brea in front of Pink’s cuts the hassle of parking in the back. I would give this place 5 stars but the customer service is not so great, actually sometimes they are straight mean. We walked ordered a few times and waited about 15 – 25 minutes each time(out of bread). So we tried ordering through eat24 to mitigate wait. Both times our order was wrong. Today I went in and stated my name and where I ordered from, the cashier asked a few questions, answered him stated I ordered from eat24, he had some issues finding my order, then a guy on the phone yells at me that I always need to state the application I ordered from. Uhhhh… I did twice… but okay… They also ran out of pickles and as I am standing there picking my order I receive a text they are out of pickles and the order was wrong. We won’t stop making this a Sunday destination, but we will order simple from now on and I will speak clearly and loudly so the entire store hears me from now on.

You can’t go wrong. The bread the bread the bread. I’ve tried many of the sandwiches and each one is different and delicious. The meatball sub(ask for extra sauce to dip that sucker in, yum) the burrata is outstanding, the godfather earns its name and all the sides are awesome too. A great lunch staple in the neighborhood

Really great sandwiches… and the name says it all. It really is all about the bread and the bread is awesome. This is coming from a former east coaster who is a bread snob. My husband is also a sandwich snob and loves the meatball sandwich! Really nice people too! Go get lunch today!

I really loved the sandwich I had. I had The Godfather, it was very tasty! The only thing I wasn’t too huge on was the bread surprisingly, I liked the texture but it was a little hard to chew. I would definitely come back again if I’m in the area and am craving a good sandwich.

Great bread as everyone states. I recommend calling ahead! I had the turkey, it was great. They also have a lot of chip choices and a cool soda dispenser. The only negative is front side parking. REMEMBERVALETINTHEBACK! it’s free!

The meatball sandwich at All About the Bread is magnificent… the kind of sandwich you dream about in the snarl of LA traffic all the way home. Homemade meatballs are tasty and NOT too bready, marinara sauce is homemade and piping hot, and perfectly spiced. The homemade French baguette is sensational, crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Since the marinara is served on the side, it doesn’t make the bread soggy. I live in San Diego, and I’m often in the LA area. All About the Bread in Hollywood easily earns 5 stars for their meatball sandwich, and the large is $ 9.50. This addicting sandwich is making it hard for me to try their other sandwiches! I asked for an extra side of marinara sauce to go with my leftover half of the sandwich, and they cheerfully and promptly complied. They didn’t charge me for the extra marinara. Very highly recommend!(-; I know I’m raving by now, but this is the best meatball sandwich I’ve ever tasted. TIP: This isn’t a bakery. They only make enough baguettes for their sandwiches.

REALLYGUYS? Been coming here for 5 years or more… I’m absolutely done. Charge for cheeses — — - — we dont charge for cheese — — - Charge for cheese. .. . MAKEUPYOURMIND! Personnel? Like talking to the Stepford wives. My main reason for not ever coming back? The sandwiches are getting smaller and smaller and smaller and the price is SKYHIGH at 10.00 a «Small» sandwich. You had a good run guys, but you are SOOOOOoo done.

Located next to M Café on Melrose, parking can be a pain but you’ll get lucky. I pick up sandwiches from here every now and then when the craving for a meatball sammy hits. The meatballs are spicy and the bread is soft and crunchy yet sturdy enough to snuggly hold in the filling. All the rest of their sandwiches are delicious as well. I love the Turkey. It is the perfect italian style sandwich. The ambiance is kinda like a typical deli with the display case to pick up some sides like potato salad, which is tasty. There isn’t that much seating, just a few tables outside and some tables inside so I just pick it up to go, but if you feel like coming in and grabbing a sandwich by yourself, you’ll get lucky and find a seat.

Know that you are coming here if you want a tuna, turkey or Godfather(all the Italian meats piled high) sandwich. If you want a salami sandwich go to Larchmont Wine and Cheese asap(this place falls sadly short on the salami front). Honestly one of the best tuna sandwiches I have ever had(not loaded with mayo at all). If you like a little heat all sandwiches have a hot pepper option(I do it every time and high five myself). Don’t add peppers if you choose… or add the mild ones if you want training wheels. Turkey and Godfather are also excellent decisions, but these things get messy so tell your sandwich to make it rain. The bread is that Dutch crunch crackle type bread which I particularly love; however for those that don’t enjoy the bubble crispy crust… maybe this isn’t your rodeo. Yes parking in the area hasn’t changed for the past 100 years… it’s perfect for 1910 when 10 people had cars in the area. So get ready to get creative, lucky, or settle for a spot on La Brea somewhere! Go get ‘em tiger!

In the mood for a good sandwich? All About the Bread is a fantastic option. This place reminds me of Bay Cities in Santa Monica, just on Melrose. Parking is a mess… there are only a handful of spots in front of the restaurant and the lot in the back is always full. I’d suggest going into the neighborhood and parking there. Service is a bit slow. I went around dinner time and it wasn’t really crowded at all. It took about 15 minutes to receive my sandwich after I placed my order. The water fountain wasn’t even working either. Apparently it’s always broken? I got a regular size of the Godfather($ 7.50) with the works(Godmother at Bay Cities). Wow!!! Everything about the sandwich was great. It was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. What a perfection combination. I asked for spicy and there is a definite kick to the sandwich. Definitely a quality sandwich. Now that I’ve discovered this place, I might frequent this place for lunch. Perhaps I will call in my order ahead of time instead of waiting 15 minutes while I’m there.

My office had All About the Bread catered today and I am enjoying it right now. Actually, really enjoying it. I was hoping to see some Godfathers on the tray. Alas, that dream will have to wait until I have a chance to visit the restaurant. I live close by Bay Cities and they are certainly the winner of the trophy. When in this side of town, however, this place is a great second. Hot giardiniera, quality bread and toppings. Of course shredded lettuce is a must.

I’ve heard about AATB for years, and it’s similarity to the ever beloved Bay Cities. Well, the bread is the same, which is a relief for all of us east-siders who can’t make the trek out to the beach for that crunchy, soft goodness. They offer up the«godfather», which is pretty much the same as the«godmother» a la Bay Cities, jam packed full of italian meats and cheeses, spicy peppers, and veggies. I didn’t find it nearly as flavorful or spicy, but it still hit the spot. I’m interested in trying their burrata sandwich, and turkey and avo, and with free valet parking in the back and proximity to my apt, I’ll certainly be back! Note: I HATE the beverage machine. It’s one of those touch screen coke machines, and unless there is something wrong with my fingers, it took like 10 minutes to get a drink and figure out what they had, which, did not include iced tea.

I don’t come to WeHo often, but when I do, it’s All About the Bread! The ingredients in the sandwiches are a whole lotta goodness: fresh deli meat and cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, and Italian dressing. BUT… what really sets this sandwich apart from some other joints is the bread! The name of this chain says it all. The bread is crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. I inquired about purchasing a loaf of bread, but I was super disappointed to find out they don’t sell their bread! I guess that’s a smart decision, or I’d be eating bread all week! If you’re looking for a no frills joint with amazing sandwiches, this is the place!!!

Husband heard from a friend that this place had the best sandwiches and when he realized we were going to be in the area around lunchtime on Saturday, he insisted on going. I was game. Located in a little strip mall with other interesting restaurants. Parking: there’s a few spots up front, but there’s a lot in back that the first hour is free. Heard the Meatball was the best, so that’s what we both ordered. You place your order and they call your name when its done.(They should probably get first name and last initial, because as an odd coincidence, there were 4 guys with the same name. haha!) The place doesn’t have that many tables and its a hodge podge collection of different table types. There were a few tables outside, but we opted to sit inside.(FYI, very popular with men because when I walked in, there was only 1 other woman.) They don’t serve alcohol, but we grabbed a couple of soft drinks. The meatball? Awesome. I would say its the best meatball sandwich I’ve had in LA. Flavorful meatball, flavorful sauce and the bread was perfect(crispy, but not too hard). I love that they give you extra sauce on the side so that the bread doesn’t get soggy and you can pour extra on. It was so good, that its the type of place you’ll crave and go back. I want to try other sandwiches, but it’ll be hard to tear my away from the meatball.

A couple of hours after attending an event in town and reminiscing around the area, I thought I was done with LA for the night until I noticed the signage in the corner of my eye as I was driving along Melrose. Intrigued, I decided that maybe I wasn’t completely full yet and turned around, lucky to find a parking spot right in front of the store. Though most people have raved about the Godfather, but my sandwich of choice involves turkey by default, so I ordered the«House Sandwich» or Signature Turkey. There weren’t a lot of people in, so it didn’t take long for the food to be ready. Unwrapping it was like opening a holiday gift since it’s double sealed with different layers of paper. What revealed itself was the neatest sub I’ve ever seen prepared – no ingredients falling or dripping out. And the bread, oh the bread was so good. The bite was extra crunchy and a wonderful introduction into the rest… which was a little underwhelming and didn’t blow me away. It was a good sandwich, but for its size, the price seemed a little steep. For me, All About the Bread is true to its name. The bread is amazing, but perhaps that in itself affects my perception that the other ingredients taste inferior in quality.
