I went here with a few works to celebrate a colleagues last day. It was 12 of us. We ordered a few dishes for the table and decided to eat family style. They made four types of rice and all were really, really good! We also got crispy rices with a green soup on it that tasted excellent. Our meat choices included chicken kabob, ground chicken, ground beef, and chunks of lamb. Most were good, some were okay. All there food is cultured. The atmosphere was okay. It is definitely a place for lunch!

This place is a joke! This is the second time we order food from them and never get our order. We call them several times to check on the order and they say its on the way and finally when you get mad they give you the same story that the food was delivered and the driver is back with the money and maybe he delivered it to the wrong place!!! Will NEVER order again from this place!!!

The best tasting Persian food in LA. The portions are huge, the service is excellent, and you can’t beat the price. My go to restaurant when I’m downtown.

Kosher Persian. Great service. Felt Armenian in its kabob type menu. No food poisoning yet.

Downtown Los Angeles is full of surprises. Just a short walk away from the business district is Afhsan – a restaurant that gives you the impression that you’re in some faraway country in the Middle East or its former Soviet neighbors. All the clientele are Jewish, but not American Jewish. Rather, the food is predominantly Persian, though the falafel and hummus seem not so typically Persian. The customers and proprietors were clearly from abroad – but exactly what their background was is beyond my experience. Anyway, my falafel plate with baghala polo was quite good. I was really impressed with the falafel and hummus that came with the plate. Yum! The baghala polo(rice with dill and lima beans) was fine but not on par with the best versions. This restaurant is for the adventurous(or for Persian Jews).
