ACME Comedy Noho

I love this space so much it hurts! I have been performing Improv here for the past 2 years and it keeps getting better and better. I also teach Acting and Improvisation here every week for Carolyne Barry Creative and my students love the space too. The Management is always friendly, reasonable and super responsible. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I’ve not only been a patron of the theatre but I’ve also taken classes on their stage! As an attendee of various shows, I’ve enjoyed the simple space the theater has to offer. The seating is stadium style which is fine, especially if a tall person sits in front of you, then you can still see the show without having to move to the left or the right of the person in front of you. The lobby area is a bit small but then again your not here to stand around the lobby, your here to see a good show and that’s what you’ll get!
As a first year student actor at the Acme, it’s definitely a fun stage to work at with a cozy size dressing room with a few private booths to change in. The Theater also is adjacent to the new acquisition of old JET theatre which is now owned by Acme so I look forward to see those spaces in action. I’ll also add that a block or two away are severely good restaurants and bars you can stop by before or after a show.

I LOVE this space as I’ve shared many laughs here with improv groups I’m fond of. They’ve recently expanded into their neighbor space, JET studios. So: more space than ever and lots of talent filling it up!

I love this space! I perform improv here regularly, and it’s ideal as far as I’m concerned… great stage, intimate house without being too small (like 65 – 70 seats, raised), clean, super friendly, and BYOB. They’ve got a couple other spaces that I’ve also performed in that are great– one larger and more state-​of-​the-​art and then one smaller at the Complex.
Leave yourself a little extra time for parking, or do what I do, and park at Pitfire, eat a ton of pizza, and then just walk over and leave your car. Best night out ever.

I perform at this theatre and it’s so great! Really comfy seats in a newly renovated theatre and nice people/​staff. :)
Of course I’m mainly familiar with the green room and stage, but I’ve seen shows here before too and it’s awesome.
Convenient location— Lots of bars and restaurants around the corner on magnolia. So you can grab food/​drinks before or after a show.
