I’m a fan of this PIZZA chain. On this visit I tried the Carni on Margherita = 800 degrees take on a meat lovers. The restaurant has a bar. Pizza is made on a assembly line. Then cooked in a wood burning oven. My PIZZA came out a little undercooked. It was missing that light crunch.

They have great potd(pizza of the deal) during week days. The pizza is freshly cooked in the pizza oven with wood fire. Pizza size is perfect for average male. Downside is waiting can be pretty long during lunch hour, and taste is food sometimes and bad sometimes depend on who makes your pizza.

800 Degrees still burns their pizzas and the workers don’t seem to realize what a travesty it is to serve carcinogens to customers. My pizza of 1÷28÷16 had patches of black, including the basil leaves. Ugh. Scrape off the toppings and throw out the crust. Maybe pizza shouldn’t be cooked at 800 Degrees? The true forte are the salads here. The Kale salad is served with dried figs and goat cheese and it is good. I’ll come back not for the pizza but for the salad. Chile Verde pizza served with pesto chile sauce. Ugh. Tastes like soap. Again, tomato sauce would have been better. Why try to reinvent the wheel? $ 5 Instagram pizza of the day: Chicken white pizza with sundried tomatoes. The ingredients were gourmet. I ‘ve always questioned the value of the white pizza. The tomato sauce has always been praised by nutritionists. Tomato sauce would have tied the gourmet ingredients nicely. $ 5 gorgonzola salad: I’ve never had gorgonzola. It’s a bitter, white crumbly cheese that reminds me of blue cheese(not a fan). But the ingredients were premium and I ate all of my salad. Both were delicious. Customer service was charming, knowledgeable, and kind. Because of the hoity-toity, glamorous chandeliers, I thought 800 Degrees was a stuffy sit down/waiter restaurant. I HATE those. It’s actually a casual, order and pick up your food at counter place. Don’t be afraid. It’s a well-dressed budget restaurant! I missed out on happy hour because I work a healthcare with unpredictable hours. Grrrrr. Suggestion: Please serve Bohae(Korean black raspberry wine). It’s cheap wine and delicious. The bartender was friendly and nice. I recommend Elderflower cocktail($!0) because it’s fruity and it tasted like it had vitamin C. The Merlot($ 8) was okay.

To be honest, any place that’s got $ 5 pizza is alright with me. I’mma eat that Little Caesars pizza every once in a while. I don’t care. But the fact that the ‘Pizza of the Day’ here is the same price as a Little Caesars pie, BLOWS.MY.MIND This is the fancy shit, folks. They’ve got a few different sauces, not just red, that they call by their fancy Italian names — like ‘bianca’. And cheese! This place has the grown-up stuff. Stuff that Little Caesar can’t even pronounce. Not even Big Caesar can say it. Not even my COUSIN Caesar. I’m talking ’bout gouda and ricotta and gorgonzola. Mozzarella di bufala and boschetto di tartufo. Yeeeeeeeah. My girl-boo and I came here for Happy Hour on a Friday. The place was empty around 5, but a beer and $ 5 fresh burrata later, shit was bumpin’. The bartender was friendly and reminded us that we can order our $ 5 wood-fired, fancy cheese pizza from him; no need for our sweet asses to leave the bar. Lemme tell you what else Little Caesars doesn’t have: Baby kale salad, with fig, goat cheese and pine nuts. $ 5 during Happy Hour and that shit is gooooooood. So, basically, for $ 5 you can get a pie from Little Caesars, Or you can get the fancy shit from this joint. Don’t be dumb.

Hands down worst Margherita pizza ever. Don’t– just don’t do it!!! Save your palate for a higher quality meal elsewhere!!! Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Soggy, no distinguishing flavor at all! Truly should not even be sold as pizza. Ordering at the pizza counter could be a lot less complicated as well. As I was eating, I watched dozens of people come in, stare at the menu in utter confusion, ultimately having to ask the same exact questions of the pizza artisans crafting the pizzas to order.

Such. Great. Pizza. Came here on a Saturday night before a show at the Shrine and this place was EMPTY. It obviously gets its peak business from DTLA lunchtimes. Excellent wood-fired pizza. The process couldn’t be easier: Pick a crust(thick, thin or gluten free); a base(margherita, bianca/white, marinara/no cheese, or verde/pesto); and then add toppings — of which, there are too many to list. What impressed me most was that they prep their own ingredients. Meatballs are roasted in the pizza ovens. Pineapple was pre-grilled and sweet. Would you prefer your garlic minced or whole? They have it all. Next time, I’m trying the ricotta cheese rolled into the edge of the crusted, called«incarcerato» style. Yum!

I have to say I am probably a bigger fan of Pizza Studio but 800 degrees is pretty dang delicious. Came here late at night and it still had a pretty long line and was pretty crowded! They have a set menu with specialty pies or you can make your own. There’s also the Instagram pizza of the day, which is a lot cheaper than the normally priced pizzas(I think it’s about $ 5). My date and I got the Napoli pizza(sausage and broccolini) and the pizza of the day which had Rosemary ham, Gorgonzola, and cherry tomatoes. Both came out piping hot and delicious from the stone oven. Was really happy eating hot, fresh pizza late on a cold night! Would recommend this place to people and would come again, though I have to say if I had to choose between this and Pizza Studio, my allegiance is to Pizza Studio because it’s cheaper and more customizable!

First time trying 800 degrees pizza. I have to say I became a fan. This location is in the heart of DTLA has a full bar and plenty of seating. The minute you walk you are greeted with a hello. I love the fact you have numerous pizza options and great salads. The plus about this pizza place your pizza are made they way you wanted with selecting additional topics from the selections it already comes with. I have to say one of the best margarita pizzas I ever had. If you are person who is in rush and hungry you will love it 800 degrees pizza. As you will get your pizza in about five minutes nice and warm. You plenty of dining space of you must want to seat or have a seat at the bar to watch some sporting events. The staff from A to Z here is super friendly. The only negative about DTLA is parking. Otherwise this place is great spot for happy hour too.

Upscale and expensive. But worth the price… me thinks not. There’s plenty of competitors in the space of DIY pizza. 800 definitely positions itself at the top with its class A location in the heart of DTLA, authentic wood-fired ovens, and fresh ingredients. But at $ 15.00 for a custom pizza and soft drink it is way, way, way, overpriced for a mediocre, chewy dough pizza. When I think Neapolitan pizza, I think of the thin crunchy crust simple pizza served on the side walks of Rome. They’re somewhat oblong, uncut, with chunks of fresh mozzarella, and a crispy but light dough. What I got at 800 was a gooey-American non-equivalent that was on par with lesser-priced competitors like Blazed, Project Pie, Pieology, etc, etc. But at $ 15 for 800 there’s no way their value add is substantiated. I’m saving my ducats for the lower priced competitors.

First visit was a hit! Ordered three of their signature pizzas and they were extremely well made. The crust is perfectly baked and the toppings were blended so well that no one ingredient offset the rest. What I really liked about 800 was that each employee that passed the pizzas down the assembly line took care to make sure that things were placed properly. Even the girl who was sliding the pizzas in the oven took the time to make sure there was enough flour on the bottom to prevent burns. I really liked this place, the fact that they have a full bar with a happy hour made things even better. Take my advice, order a side of meatballs, cut them up, and add them to your favorite pizza. Your welcome!

This place is my new favorite spot for pizza. Great toppings, service, and great flavor. I like how you can build your own pizza. You start by picking a crust, sauce then your toppings. They have legit wood fire grills and Is cooked to perfectly. I can’t wait to come back here and I highly suggest coming here. Not to mention they have a full bar

What a great date night place! Great pizza, great prices. Went here with the wife and we split a pizza and a salad. The pizza was delious and soooo cheap! In my opinion it is all about the margherita pizza, everything else is for suckers. They use really good fresh mazzarella, not the junk a lot of other places use for their base mozzarella. This basical pizza is anything but basic. Delicious, high quality, cheap, and filling. Get this with a large salad and you have a wonderful meal for two. If you are in the mood for drinking they also have beer and wine on site, with a decent beer list. You aren’t going to find anything new but you will find a few beers that you enjoy.

Well as a Monday funday comes to a close it is often best to put a bit of something in your stomach so that you can sober up and make your way home… A large group of my friends and I ended up here at the end of one of our ambling soirée’s around DTLA. We basically stumbled in looking for something not spinning too much to sit on and something to shove in our pie holes. So we got a couple of $ 5 pizza of the days during late night HH. It was a match made in inebriated heaven. YAY!!! Cheap pizza to sober up on… woo woo!!! Definitely this did the trick for us and as we sobered up, the taste and so on weren’t that important… but the company was good the service attentive and so far as we could tell. the pie was tasty as well. The price was right, and we had plenty to share amongst ourselves. Granted this isn’t the most high end place, but seriously it was exactly what we needed. I love that they had a full bar in this place also. Half of us were sitting at it drinking some random libation of who knows what style… I believe I was drinking rye on the rocks here. But the memories can sometimes be a bit hazy towards the end of a Monday funday… Regardless the bartendress was nice to us, smiled and was quick with a quip and a drink. That makes things even more fun and enjoyable. I will totally go back sometime if I am in the area and in need of some grub or grog while out and about. Fun times can be had here… at least I think they can…

I used to give this place such high praises, but I think it was just the honeymoon phase. I’ve tried ordering ahead for pick up and have had issues every single time. It was actually faster to just walk in and order. Every time there has been issues though, the service is still great and the staff has been accommodating and apologetic. It’s also a bummer that the POTD isn’t offered on the weekend and sometimes they’re kinda weird combinations.

800 Degrees pizza isn’t mindblowing but it’s decent, especially if you’re gonna get the special du jour for a measly $ 5. I ordered the Angry Bee with soppressata, garlic, Calabrian chiles, and honey and it just happened to be the special that day. Hey, I’ll take it! The Angry Bee was ok but I couldn’t taste the honey at all so they might want to rethink the name. They have a build-your-own option but I think they charge per topping so if you like a loaded ass pizza it’ll cost ya. The pizzas are cooked pretty quickly and there’s a good amount of seating so if you work downtown hit this place up for lunch. It’s def not a destination pizzeria. It’s no Mozza!

So I’ve been meaning to try this place for the past year, especially after following their Instagram for the pizza of the day($ 4). The price is a steal, especially if you happen to like all the ingredients! Unfortunately, this pizzeria pales in comparison to other customizable(DIY) pizza joints, such as Project Pie in San Diego. The wait is ridiculous, and the ingredients didn’t seem super amazing or fresh. The cheese needs to be evenly distributed, but the line employees are generally in a rush and you may end up with a huge layer of mozzarella like I did. If you customize your pizza, be aware that they charge for additional toppings. There are plenty of places that have unlimited ingredients, so if you like to keep a pizza simple, then yes the price is fair at 800 Degrees. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of crust, so they had just the right amount in the dough and the portion is generous. Overall, I wouldn’t mind coming back, since service is pretty quite despite the really long line during lunch hours.

**Follow the 800degreespizza Instagram handle to see what their Pizza of the Day is!** 800 degrees recently opened just a few blocks away from my office, so my coworkers and I have grabbed their pizza a handful of times. The line starts getting long around noon, but it goes by quick since the workers here sure know how to work their stations. I personally don’t think it’s worth it to pay $ 9 – 15 for their one-man pizzas, so I only ever get their Pizza of the Day, which is half off the normal price. I got a soft drink once and it was almost the price of my pizza that day…

When I first came across 800 Degrees in my old haunts of Westwood, my initial thought was that this is the rich man’s Pieology. For the quality and the price, you can’t beat what 800 Degrees offers. And lo and behold, there’s one literally right next to work! I’ve already waxed lyrically about how good it is, so no need to rehash old words. But the important thing I found out was about the Instagram pizza of the day. You’re telling me if I order the pizza that you have on IG that it’s ONLY $ 4? And it happens to be the Bianca with chicken, which is what I wanted anyways? Yeah, I’m happy. Also important to note: there’s a full bar in here and it’s open til 2AM. They know what’s good for business.

I don’t know why their rating is not what I thought it would be. I recently tried first 800 degrees at LAX and I immediately fell in love. My boss was raving about this spot in DTLA, and I decided to try it as soon as I landed from my Asia trip, cause I could use some good pizza. I made a custom pizza, there are about 30+ ingredients you can choose from. Also, ask them for«Pizza of the day», you can follow them on Instagram to see what kind of daily special pizzas they hold. I enjoyed how thin the pizza was. The dough was just perfectly set and made just right for my taste. They do not have red peppers which I am quiet bummed about. However, for a great alternative, they offer you some Asian chili paste, which I first thought it was odd, but the flavor really pops out. I will be coming back whenever I am craving pizza!

If you’re looking for a quick lunch and a fan of thin crust, 800 Degrees is the place to go. Been here a few times and actually like this place. Not bad for a person who doesn’t care for pizza all too often. 800 Degrees is a create your own fast food sit down restaurant. Choose your crust, meats, and toppings or choose from a pre set menu. You can watch your pizza made right then and there as it’s cooking in the almond wood fire 800 degree oven. The best deal here is the Pizza of the Day(POTD) which is posted on IG and 50% off during the weekday. For under 5 bucks, you can get a whole pizza. The pesto with bacon is what I usually get here. Service here is quick and friendly. The computerized soda fountain provides choices from all sorts of Coke products. One of the cool features here is the full bar. Pretty nice and sizable bar for fast food joint. Definitely better than the other fast food thin crust pizza joints.

Ein toller Laden, der mich an Vapiano erinnert. Preise für LA okay, Portionen ordentlich, Pizza und Salate frisch. Klare Empfehlung.
