These guys are great. I go to them to get window screens made, they do it same day, are very friendly, are inexpensive, and do quality work.

Do yourself a favor and just go to Home Depot I purchased custom cabinets from them. It was really a horrible job. The use pine or some other really soft wood. I should attach some pictures. The joints don’t line up and a lot of tears in the wood. I showed the kid who’s uncle I guess owns the place. He agreed the cabinets were total shit. He said he could have the doors redone but that wouldn’t happen until tomorrow. But that’s to late. I have a job to do with them first thing am. The quality is very poor. If I didn’t prepay for them, I would have left them. My fault for prepaying the whole amount. And my cabinets weren’t an anomaly. As I dug threw to get my cabinets, they all were put together horribly.

I have been coming here for years. Spend thousands of dollars on custom cabinets, doors, closet doors, screens, windows But, this was my last time. I came in last week to buy a couple window parts and spent several hundred dollars. I was told if I open the package I could not return item. I paid for the items and opened right away to make sure everything fitted and match my original part. This guy had a pissy fit, even thou I paid for it. He told me again, «you can’t return» I understood and left. Today I came in to buy a few items, as usual, one employee asked, can I help you? While this other Manager/employee was next to him stated in Spanish«Don’t help this guy». I have never been disrespected at an establishment before like this before. I returned all my purchased items except the opened package item. I would remind all my contacts not to patronize this establishment. This one star was too much to acknowledge this store.

Great old school hardware store. You will find quality products and good value. You just need to know a little about what you’re doing, and some understanding on how its done. I would talk to the older guys if you want quality communications and guidance. Sure, there are a few«ding ding’s» working there, but welcome to LA! Their phone communications are lacking as in ALL hardware stores. Be a little patient, it’s a hardware store, not a bookstore.

There are two types of hardware stores. The big chains where you go when you don’t necessarily know what you want or have lots of questions and secondly hardware stores for people who know exactly what they need to complete their project or job. This is the latter. So they don’t speak the best English. Not a problem when you know what you need. These people are tradesmen types. They even have a full blown wood shop. I got a custom piece of glass cut for $ 20 in about ten minutes. Perfect! It would have cost $ 120 to have someone do this for me but I can install glass and I knew what I needed. Personally I love places like this. If you want your hand held go to the big chain stores.

Called to ask a couple of questions and was hung up on mid-sentence. Not even a thank you or goodbye. I called back to tell him he hung up on me, then asked for a price quote on an 11×14 piece of glass. He said, «I am not the glass guy», then told me to come in if I wanted a price quote. Guess I’ll take my business to one that wants customers.

This place is not pretty, but If you have apartments or live in an apartment, this is the hardware store for you. This is where your plumber, painter, electrician and maintenance person shops. I needed some really weird aluminum ducts for a hundred year building and came here on a whim. Boom, they had what I needed. Again, this is not the prettiest hardware store and you kinda have to know what you’re doing, but for apartments and old buildings, this might just be your only hope.

Asked for a product on the phone, was told they didn’t have it — and they just hung up on me! Unbelievable. There were other things I wanted to ask also. Astounded at how rude they were.

This place is a joke. Hung up on me on the phone after telling me that«yes they are open,» but before hearing my next question. Acted like a total dick once I got there. Turned out not to have what I needed(had he had a few extra seconds to spare on the phone, I wouldn’t have had to drive several miles for nothing). And finally laughed in my face when I calmly tried to give him some feedback on his service. Too bad this place is just about the only one open on Saturday. It may as well be closed.

I needed a custom cut mirror to replace a piece of glass that I’ve been using as a table top. They cut the piece in less than 15 minutes and only charged me $ 20. All of the guys there were very helpful(mind you, I am a young lady, which always comes in handy at hardware stores lol). While I waited for the glass to be cut, I browsed the store. It was very organized and the prices were actually great. The store is in the hood, however, parking is great, so no scary walks necessary. If you’re not comfy in a seedy place, this might not be the right place for you. If you ARE ok with the location, you’re gonna get good service and a bomb deal.

This place is ghetto as can be! Parking lot was full of nails on the ground! I once came here to have couple pieces of glass cut and it took them two hours! The reason: the glass cutter was out to lunch! Two hour lunch huh? I should have taken my business else where! Too much procrastination! Then, after my glass was cut, the edges were taped for safety; however, when I got home – there was a half inch crack on one of the window pane! Not that I’m myopic, I didn’t see the crack because the masking tape covered it! I thought about installing it, but it would have made matter worst! I don’t want to do any double work! This employee thought he was slick! I waited for another hour, and this time the reason was; he’d be back in an hour! I got the feeling, this establishment had prior problems with Asians. As a result, the owner of this place used me as a scapegoat! Sad to say, this place is another Anti-Asian establishment! If I had my way, no stars for this place! What comes around goes around! I knew one day, I would have the last word of this place! And, thanks to Unilocal – I have!

This is the place to go if you are thinking of doing a DIY kitchen remodel on a tight budget. They custom make cabinets super cheap. There is a catch… they are unfinished & you gotta pick them up. but if you can borrow a truck & are handy w/staining or paint, you’ve got yourself one hell of a bargain. They also carry countertops, but don’t go expecting to find granite or anything fancy. This is for budget DIY’ers. Of course they also have other stuff found in a regular neighborhood hardware store too.
