Most food court places are pretty predictable. Cheap and simple fares, sit on a plastic chair with a colorful table, bright fluorescent lights. 5 Minute Bowl was not so different, except it was more like… 10 minutes. The prices are only slightly cheaper than what you’d get at a sit down restaurant. I don’t even know who in the group suggested this place but I don’t like him already. I got the bibimbop and the bowl was cracked so it leaked water all over the tray and they gave me another one. The girls behind the counter seemed friendly and the food was okay. But I prefer to sit down and have a real meal on a Saturday evening and not scarf food down on plastic chairs next to an Asian food market. Maybe come here for lunch or when you’re in a rush.

I was conflicted about revealing this place as there are only 14 seats but being a true Unilocaler I had to get the word out. This is located on the south west corner inside the korean super market. $ 2.99 Korean/Chinese style black been noodle aka Cha-Jang Myun. The noodles are made fresh and the best in koreatown. Yes, I said koreatown. I have tried all the other Cha-Jang Myun at all the koreatown Korean/Chinese restaurants and this is better. $ 4.99 Spicy cold noodles aka Naeng-myun was very good. I was very very skeptical about this dish because it is not easy to get right. This was better than most $ 9 and up Naeng-myun places in korean BBQ restaurants. I am a true believer in this place. I just need to order all the other stuff. I thought about knocking off one star because of the limited seating — I think they want more TO-GO business. The cashier is rude so don’t take it personally. Enjoy@
