Standard Liquor

This place sucks. Safeway has a better beer selection across the street. Embarrassing. Their cigars are old as shit, and they close early. This place fails as a liquor store.

I discourage anyone from using this business; one particular adult male is very rude to me when I come in.

Make sure you check the expiration date on their food and candy. I bought a pack of hard candies and didn’t notice that they had expired 3 years prior. The lady behind the counter was anything but pleasant as she was on the phone the whole time I was there and paying for things.

So apparently Guinness has released a new Stout called «250» after it’s 250^th anniversary celebration. I’d looked for it at various supermarkets that I hit on my normal shopping runs and no one seems to know about it. So I think they’ve got to know about it at a liquor stre right? so I hop on in, look in the cold case and still no 250. damn it! so I ask the guy at the counter and he says he’s down with it and that a shipment is coming in a week. Score! Finally someone who didn’t just look completely confused about what I was asking about. The guy was really cool though the phrase «next shipment» made me feel like we were trying to finish a drug transaction. Definitely will be back for the 250, and hopefully DEA isn’t waiting outside listening to the convo…
