Was looking around on Unilocal for a cheap bite to eat with a coworker and found this place. A pretty good pizza joint if your in the area. Ordered the medium Rancho Special and was told to wait 15 to 20 min, had no problem since I wasnt in a rush. Pizza came out with thin crust and alot of toppings. Sat inside the benches for a quick bite with the coworker, frequent customers came to order uncooked pizzas to go while we ate. Pizza was surprisingly good compared to regular pizza chains. Will come back again if I’m in the area.

Muncho yums really great for take out 3mins and they’ll have it ready for you to take home and bake. 15 mins and it will be baked and ready to eat right away.

Pleasantly surprised. I came by Friday evening, the other shops, clothing, real estate, etc were all closed and dark and this kinda lone, sad looking pizza shop with its lights on and no one inside. I ordered two slices, and was told I’d have to wait. 6 minutes. Hah! Sure, 6 minutes is fine. 6 minutes later, two thin crust, crispy bottom slices came out stacked with fresh toppings. Much better than the heat lamp daily leftovers I was expecting. A couple other customers came in while I ate to pick up their orders, and it looked like they were regulars. I wouldn’t drive across the bay to come here, but if I’m in the area and hankering for a quick, cheap, good bite to eat, I’ll come here.

Pizza is really not bad(a bit down hill from when it was Papa Murphy’s), but the service can be pretty crappy. Tonight we ordered by phone, including a salad. When we arrived to pick up the order the guy at the counter said he sold the last salad to another customer. He didn’t really seem to care one way or the other. No apology or even a sign of concern. Lots of other places for good pizza and less attitude from the counter.

I was in the area and wanted a quick bite for lunch so I grabbed a slice of cheese. Mediocre at best. Reminds me of ballpark pizza(and not the good stuff on Club level). I had higher expectations for Los Altos. Disappointed.

We have been getting pizza here for over 20 years. It used to be called Murphy’s Pizza. We love it because it is «Take and Bake»(although they will definitely cook it for you). The crust is basically thin and the toppings are quite good. You can’t beat cooking it in your own oven for piping hot pizza right out of your own oven. They will also sell you just a crust if you are creating your own pizza at home. Finally, they are always friendly and our order is always ready when promised.

A friend had recommended this pizza place to me a while back but I never got a chance to try it. A week ago was when I finally stopped by and ordered two pizzas; a Hawaiian pizza and a Ham and Pepperoni pizza. Choosing what toppings I wanted on the pizzas was a very tough choice to make considering their huge selection of toppings! I was satisfied with the service as well as delighted with the quality and taste of the pizza. You can actually taste how fresh the pizza is! Prices are reasonable! I’m glad I took a visit to Rancho Pizza and I plan on returning next time I’m in the area.

When my friends and I go out for lunch, we always enjoy their pizza. It’s always fresh, they never get our orders wrong, and they have a huge selection of toppings. The people are very kind, also. Lastly, they sell pizza by the slice for a great price of 3.50!

Rancho Pizza has become our family’s go-to pizza place. We almost always opt for the take-and-bake option. This is very convenient, especially when we bring pizzas over to our daughter’s home in Belmont. Fresh baked pizza is always better than reheating cold pizza. Our family favorites are the veggie & artichoke pizza with garlic sauce, combination, and the garlic chicken pizza. The pizzas are always fresh and they are very generous with the toppings! Moreover, the people who work there are so friendly. Ben, the owner, is very friendly and always chats with us when we pick up our pizzas. A great local business.

Very good Pizza and great concept, as you pick up the pizza unbaked and put it into the oven at home. So it has the maximum last and crispness. Really yummy!

Had this today for dinner. I was a bit skeptical about this place. I work near here so we decided to get a medium cheese and take it home. Hmmmm 10 for a regular medium and 2 dollars to have this cooked?!! Ok whatever they can’t cook my pizza as a courtesy. It looks super plain something out of a grocery store freezer bought. Baked it and it actually turned out decent. Probably won’t buy here again but for those in the area it’s a DECENT stop to get some«fresh» dough. At least it was better than expected. Ps the pictures they have on display are nothing like the real thing.

What is with all the great reviews? I was looking for a new pizza place hoping for great pizza. The gentleman that works there was really really nice. First time I tried this pizza, the pictures are BS and deceptive, no way are these accurate pics because the crust on the edges DOESNOT raise that high. I decided to do a take and bake and baked it at home per the instructions and this pizza is no bueno. Not a good pizza. PaPa John’s or Murphy’s is waaaay better than this. Gotta go find lunch again, LATELUNCH!

We’ve been getting pizzas from this place for past 10 years or more. I don’t know if the owner is the same but I have a feeling that the ownership had changed a few years ago. regardless, there is no surprises with the pizza. we always take it home and bake and the whole family likes the pizza and how it tastes. I especially like the crust and the grilled chicken with Garlic sauce. the kids like cheese pizza. the prices are not so cheap and not so expensive. i guess if you want to get the same size pizza from Round table, it would be more expensive. overall I am happy…

We tried this place for dinner one day and really enjoyed it, so we decided to try it out again. The prices are really high for me having to bake the pizza at home and wait while it cooks. I’m usually already hungry when I order food to go, so the waiting process is just frustrating! The last time we got pizzas from here, they weren’t very good, so we probably won’t be going back. Would I come back? Probably not.

I always assumed that this place was take and bake only so I avoided it for a while. Turns out they’ll bake it for you but also do slices. However this time I was looking for something I could cook at home. Large pepperoni for $ 12 is not a bad deal. They tell you to cook the pizza on the baking sheet they give you, however I found that the crust doesnt get as crisp as I like. Pizza stone to the rescue. Getting the right melt and burn on the cheese and pepperoni is key as is the crisp crust. Good flavors. Owner is super nice and said he’s been there for years now. So if I need to stock up or drop by for a pizza fix in Los Altos I know there’s a place I can hit up easily

I can’t say there was anything memorable about it(good or bad) because all I did was order a bunch of cheese pizzas for a little kid birthday party. One warning, when you’re ordering over the phone for pickup, I guess you have to specify you want cooked pizzas, not frozen. I placed my order and the guy was about to hang up until I asked at the last second how long it would take. «Oh, you want them cooked or frozen?» was the reply. I think he would’ve assumed cooked if I didn’t specify but from now on, I’ll specify to be absolutely sure

Good value, good enough pizza. I would give 4 – 5 stars if they would bring back the ricotta cheese in their calzone! They have an opportunity to shine since the Applewood Pizza location closed a year or so ago. Simple things likes having the ricotta cheese for those who loved that in the calzones they(Rancho Pizza) used to offer, and extra points if they would add the ricotta to their Hawaiian Pizza– a la Applewood’s Hawaiian.

The crust was not thick and heavy like a Papa Murphy’s take home pizza and it is really a great way to get a quality pizza for a good price. We ordered several pies for a party and they were gone in a few minutes. I’ll add this place to our rotation of favorite pizza places.

Rancho Pizza used to be Papa Murphy’s, but I guess they didn’t renew their franchise agreement maybe? Regardless, it’s still the same concept. Take n bake pizza at its best! I always order the hawaiian pizza with juicy pineapple and canadian bacon — there’s nothing better, in my opinion! The quality of the food is exceptional — I’ve never had any complaints. And the prices are affordable! The customer service is also very good. I wouldn’t call it 5 stars, but it’s very good for a neighborhood pizza joint.

Had to update my review, just came here after not going for a while and noticed a big hike in prices. The guy said the prices have been the same for 30 years ?? I don’t think this place has been here close to that long. Anyway it’s either a price hike or the fact that the coupon deals are nothing now. Also I don’t like that he BSed me. I gave this a high rating before before because of the decent tasting take n bake pizza at a good price/coupon. That no longer exists, at these prices it’s more of a 2.5 star. Jeez have you seen the insane deals pizza hut etc have been giving lately? You can probably get twice the pizza already baked, for the same price here now. Rancho Pizza while maybe slightly higher quality, is not twice the quality of Pizza Hut. Will update rating if they change their prices/offer better coupons again.
