An employee at this establishment made an antisemitic remark to me. In checking my ID, he commented on my birthday being on Christmas. My wife joked that it’s a funny birthday for a person of Jewish heritage. The employee then commented that my last name didn’t sound like a Jewish last name. I was aghast and shocked by the comment at the time. I couldn’t even come up with a proper response, I was so taken aback. The comment is clearly still bothersome as I’m still thinking about it two weeks later. It is extremely offensive to stereotype someone based on what their last name is or is not. Jewish stereotypes, whether it be crooked noses, money, or even last names, led to the Inquisition, the Holocaust, and a long history of Antisemitism in the United States. I thought we were past that, but I guess not. For any manager interesting in identifying the employee: the incident occurred on February 7, 2016 at around 1PM.

Dropped by to check on some wine and cognac and notice the prices are way too high even with membership. Bevmo is quite a large Corp own business and with their buying power of large quantity they should be more competitive in pricing. No wonder the store has hardly any customers. There are lots of liquor stores that beat their prices by quite a large margin. In fact I can go to Costco and buy at great prices without having to be a member. Bevmo need to rethink on their prices. Even Whole Food realize and start reducing their prices recently.

The new tiny BevMo not only has a terrible selection, but the clerks are apathetic zombies. Terrible customer service! I caught them overcharging me twice. Tonight: $ 15.01. The clerks are not allowed to adjust the mistake or even refund your purchase, and they don’t care. You need to have every penny authorized by the manager, who himself is a rude pinhead. He made me wait while he jabbered on the phone… finally I got my adjustment without so much as an «Excuse us for the mistake, ma’am.» I will NEVER go back, after being a loyal customer for 12 years.

Classic example of trying to do more with less. The store is half the size of the old location in both square feet and parking. Everything is packed in tight to the point of being difficult to pass another cart in the aisles. BevMo; its time to invest in smaller carts for this location! I felt like an apologetic dancer as I jigged and swerved out of the way of other shoppers. Same excellent staff and ClubBev deals. Overall the wine selection seemed smaller but still represented most varietals and regions. Spirit selections seems about the same compared to the old location. Too much«non-booze» stuff taking up valuable space, I don’t really come to BevMo looking for bruschetta topping or flavored olives. Considering they have been opened less than 6 months, things are good but could be better at this location. Cheers!

Shiny and new; tight for parking in pre-thanksgiving time, but probably not an issue in normal times. Friendly service from Xavier.

New location on El Camino near San Antonio. The old store in the San Antonio shopping center is now a pile of rubble. The new store is noticeably smaller with a more limited selection of wines. Instead, they have too many party accessories. You might as well go a few doors down to Whole Foods and see what they have to offer, not that they have a huge selection of beer and wine either. Comparing prices on the Vivino iPhone app, BevMo wine prices are generally a few dollars lower than average, but not always.

I’m not exactly sure what happened behind the scenes with BevMo and the selection of beer that they carry. After talking to an employee and I asked him about some special limited edition brews from breweries like Stone Brewing, Green Flash, and a few others, he did say that they don’t have it anymore and in certain words, they sounded«fancy». That statement almost implies that BevMo now doesn’t have the distribution or means to purchase from the same breweries that they used to have. At their old location near 24 Hour Fitness, they had a lot more room and rows and rows of beer to choose from as well as a cold refrigerated section. Now, with this new location, they seem constricted by their square footage and they can’t offer a large selection of what I’m usually accustomed to. This sudden decline in variety not only affects this BevMo store but most likely affects all other BevMo stores of bigger store sizes as well. Go see for yourself and compare the selection there to places like Whole Foods and other specialty stores which carry a higher quality selection for sale.

James provided a really great wine tasting. I learned so much and had such a great time. Now we only need to make decisions on what bottles to get for the wedding.

This place has a pretty good beer selection but I wouldn’t necessarily say the prices are competitive. You have to sign up for their BevMo customer card to get the same prices that Whole Foods sells the same beer for at regular prices.

Not a fan of this new location. The selection is ok and parking is easy, but the staff was a magical combination of rude, disinterested, and uninformed. After 5 different passing employees avoided my eye contact I finally flagged someone down. I asked if the store carried Hollows and Fentimens ginger beer and he said«that doesn’t exist» then proceeded to help another customer without saying another word to me. After I asked the guy at the checkout if there was any kind of ginger beer in the store he said they had Canada Dry without looking up from his phone and I left.

I often go to the BevMo in mountain view to pick up last minute happy hour supplies for work every week. I knew this location was coming but I thought it opens this Fri(8⁄28) and I was just here last Tues! Well, I went to the old location and realized it was closed since this tues. Oops. Well, the new one was easy enough to find just across from San Antonio shopping center from Walmart. Of course, after I haul back all my drink supplies, 40 mins later, I get an email saying their grand opening already happened. I liked that the old location was closer to other shops in the plaza, but I like that they have their own private parking lot now
