Tubby’s Liquor & Delicatessen

This place is awesome! I stayed at the hotel right next to it because I was on vacation. So needless to say I was there often! They have everything you could possibly need. Your alcohol, snacks, canned food items, toiletries, lottery tickets. Anything and everything. The staff is pretty helpful especially the guy who takes care of most of the stock. Their selection of wine is very large and they also have a back room. The beer selection is a little small but they have some of the major ones. So if you need lotion or a drink make your way down to tubby’s!!!

Should be no star. Filipino owner takes advantage of your lack of time. Overcharge you for his convenience that you did not pay attention to the price tag. I paid 2 bottles of sport drink listed at 2 for $ 2.33 and the owner/​cashier charged me $ 2.75. I asked him to explain the cost. He said that is the price he charges for the item all the time, and the 42¢ cost difference is for tax and CRV. I request a receipt and he responded by asking me if I still want to make the purchase. Since I had already opened one of the bottle so I paid for the item and left.

If no stars was possible I would give them no stars! Went in for a snack before tball practice with my five year old, my items came to 9.30 and I paid with my card and noticed I was charged an extra .50 and the total was 9.80, when I questioned the additional charge he said its because I paid with my card. I looked around for the sign that I over looked to back up this statement but the sign was no where to be found so I asked how he could charge me a few with out displaying notice of the fee. He grumpily opened the register threw two quarters at me and told me «get out asshole» in front of my 5 year old son… post a sign and I’ll pay the fee but don’t charge me without explanation. And then to insult me and curse at me in front of my child!

I think I’ve got a pavlonian response at this liquor store. You see this is my base liquor store for putting in my weekly drawings for the California lottery. You know the one where you have a better chance of he’ll freezing over than winning the big one.
Anyways the second I walk thru the door the owners just go to the machine and pop out a couple of quick picks without me asking. Yeah over the years I’ve never won anything worth writing home about.
As for the selection it’s pretty decent and they seem to have a better selection of microbrews then some of the major supermarkets
