If you like troubles take this company. I never saw a company like this. Completely incompetent. It’s was crazy. They didn’t want to understand anything. I had a guy by phone, he spoke during 20 minutes without I was able to say one word. They did a lot of mistake and they asked me to pay for storage because they didn’t give the correct informations to the shipping company. My supplier told them he paid for that and they asked me to pay too. I wonder if they are incompetent or crooks. Stay away from this company. 7 reviews and 7 time one star, it’s not a coincidence. They don’t care about customers.

Please stay away from doing business with this company. Fee’s after fee’s after fee’s. Fee’s that do not make sense. I have yet to get clarification for any of these. These fee’s cost me 20% of the product value.
They cannot give me explanation for the fee’s or what they mean. Take a look! There is a reason why it is «direct deposit only».

The same bad experience as other reviewers! For one problem I have been calling and emailing but there is no one really cares!
Do not do business with this place.

CTL LAX, Inc is horrible to work with. I had the same experience of the last three previous reviewers. Extremely poor communication. I don’t mind their English is limited as I was once in the same position BUT the poor attitude has not excuse. It is that attitude of «I am busy, what do you want, don’t waste my time, not my problem if it is your first time importing» kind of thing. I do know advice working with them.

If you’re an international importer/​exporter do not use this company. The company I work for used this CTL LAX only because they were the ocean freight courier our vendor had decided to use. It’s unfortunate because this company has no regard for customer satisfaction nor do they make reasonable attempts to explain the import process with their customers.
We were expecting almost a full container shipment via ocean freight. Originally we had requested estimates on fees, taxes/​duties from customs, and a quote for transporting the shipment from the port to be delivered at our warehouse. The person that we worked with, Raylene, was extremely unhelpful and often did not answer direct questions, usually by not acknowledging them.
The entire process was vague, we were originally given basic fees the freight courier would charge, but they did not mention the number of port fees or potential customs fees. Things they may not have had control over, yet they failed to mention or explain. In fact through out the entire process, we received updates only when fees were added or another inspection was needed. Nobody could really tell us when we could expect our cargo.
Eventually our cargo was processed through customs and released, yet CTL had managed to not schedule any sort of delivery. This resulted in a warehouse charge while our cargo sat waiting for pickup to be delivered. This was a complete failure on CTL’s part as they had not explained delivery was not assessed in the FINAL INVOICE they issued. Eventually after much teeth pulling we were able to get our cargo delivered.
In summary, do not use this company to handle your cargo or customs brokering. They clearly do not have any regard for your satisfaction, they make the process a hundred times more difficult, and at the end of the day they’ll hit you with charge after charge and not explain what any of it is for.

No wonder they have all 1-​star reviews. What a joke. Sammi and Sandy must be employed by nepotism as no business owner in his /​her right mind would hire people that speak like they do with customers.
I have to jump through 50 hoops just to get some clear communication regarding the status of my freight shipment.
