Nice place, lots of parking friendly staff easy to find. Little bit of a wait. But still the anti dmv

I’ve been a AAA member now for 1 year and so far I have noting but good things to say about them. I’ve only been to this branch (Los Al), haven’t had the need to visit another one. Everyone I’ve come in contact with so far has been very personable and kind. I had the pleasure of being helped by Magnolia Lau in my recent visit. Since my initial agent isn’t there anymore, she will be my go-​to person from now on. As long as you guys keep hiring people like Magnolia you will have my business. Thank you!

AAA travel agency was great! The agents were very knowledge and helpful. Even though I waited it was worth it since I received their personalized service and attention to all my travel needs. I highly recommend this Branch for all travel services.

Actually, AAA at Katella office doesn’t deserve any stars. Except for Melinda Parrish who was very helpful, the customer service is reprehensible. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Melinda was very efficient and kind. All the while, the lady sitting at the DMV desk was casually talking to a couple who walked into the office and immediately proceeded to the front of the line to speak to the DMV lady who had spent an inordinate amount of time selling the AAA credit card to a customer who eventually left with a DMV registration and tag. The tag took all of 10 minutes for this lady which is how long it took Melinda to help me with my tags. The management at this office is inefficient, egregious, grievously unconscionable at best. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Customer service at the other offices is very efficient.

Was at front door at opening time 9 am, was referred at front desk to Yani. Yani was great at making the change from our regular license plates to the disabled symbol license plates. It was effortless for us. We had taken off the license plates to exchange for the disabled symbol license plates. Yani offered to install the new disabled symbol license plates for us. She was great.

This branch was not as busy as some other ones in the area and had very efficient staff. I was able to get my DMV vehicle registration renewal done and my auto insurance reviewed and adjusted all in about 30 minutes!
Don’t forget — if you do DMV registration renewal at AAA, they only accept cash or check! No ATM on premise but if you forget, there’s CVS across the street.

Wow! Out in under 15 minutes on new tags. Clerk was not very personal, but was able to get me out quick. I have visited Cerritos before and it was like going to DMV. Great service!

So I decided that maybe it was a busy day or extremely busy week and unfortunately maybe it showed. Well good news is that I’m here on a Saturday at 1200 and it’s pretty busy, line up to the door inside, and it seemed very efficient and the employees seem very confident in their jobs. I only encountered 2 women and the were awesome. I definitely would recommend and tell everyone I know that this office is here and it’s very good. I didn’t even know this office was here. …
So if you read this I don’t want you to think I’m blowing smoke somewhere… but please give them a try… it’s worth it.
PS. Seemed like the 2 pregnant girls were extra nice!!!

AAA Member for 22 years! This is a review for AAA Roadside Assistance. Since I live near this office, I’ll post my review here. I’m very disappointed in how long it took for me to talk to an operator tonight. After waiting for 20 minutes, I hung up and tried again (attempt #2). I was then on hold for another 25 minutes so I tried logging into my AAA account online. I tried resetting my password and I never received a notification with my temporary password so I tried calling again (attempt #3). I finally got someone after waiting another 20 minutes. I’ve been a member of AAA for 22 years and I’ve never experienced such poor service. I regret that this happened a few days after renewing my membership. Something needs to be done to improve this process or I will have to take my business elsewhere.

A CAUTIONARY TALE…(This place should have all DMV processing work revoked)
If you have anything you want to do that is DMV related, you should stand in line at the DMV to get it done. The line at the DMV is a lot shorter, even if it takes 5 hours, than the multiple times you’ll have go back to this office or phone calls you’ll have to make to fix the mess they will inevitably make with your DMV request.
The story…
My father died in November. He had a truck that was only in his name. We needed to get the title transferred to my mother. We were on our way back from the VA in Long Beach and we thought — ‘oh, here’s a AAA, let’s just go in here to change the title pay the registration, it will be quicker than going to the DMV’ (OUR FIRST MISTAKE). This was January the 30^th 2015. The reason we needed to transfer the title is so we could sell the vehicle.
In late March, after working through the grief and purging process… we were ready to sell the truck. We go to Car Max to sell the car and in the final step of the process when they are about to cut the check, they notice the odometer says 446,000 miles… WTF? The odometer is supposed to say 44,600 miles. It appears that when we went to change the title… the clerk at AAA entered the mileage incorrectly and we didn’t notice it. We take this back to this AAA, the ones that made the error to fix it. We now have to drive the car to the AAA since they now have to actually look at the odometer to verify it before they can change it. My mother lives in the OC, I live in San Diego… she won’t drive the truck so I have to come up from San Diego to take her. On April the 30^th we drive the truck up there to get the error made by AAA fixed and have this resubmitted to DMV. After making several phone calls to schedule this time and get this corrected… I finally spoke to some named Alexandra to schedule an appointment. I don’t plan to drive all the way up from San Diego if we don’t have scheduled time!
My mother called DMV yesterday, July 20^th to find out why it was taking so long. She was told to call the Sacramento branch of DMV … they said they didn’t receive her request to fix the odometer until the 8^th of June. Let’s just count shall we… that’s almost 6 weeks of it sitting on their desk there at AAA??? So now the registration has been suspended, we can’t even drive the car to go get gas, DMV Sacramento has to now investigate… and they only do that on Mondays. Nice!
You do NOT save time by going to this AAA in particular for anything related to DMV. Their office needs to have the processing of all DMV services revoked because there is clearly a training, management, leadership issue. DMV documents are official state and federal documents and they should not be handling them if they don’t know what they are doing.
It will be August before my mother gets a correct title for a car she’s been trying to sell since January. I normally look at Unilocal reviews before crossing a threshold of any business, but because of the situation and how we were just trying to be efficient with the time I was in town… this AAA has made an already bad situation worse by their inept processing of our DMV request.

Great new branch! The staff has always been super friendly and helpful and much less crowded than the typical AAA. So glad this branch opened! So convenient!

We have been AAA members for 25 years. We came to pay registration and pick up stickers. It was early and not busy but they made me wait nearly 45 minutes. The Long Beach office can be super busy but they don’t make you wait forever for a one minute transaction. AAA should get a new branch manager for this office. Even though I live nearby, I will go to long beach or Huntington beach from now on. Very poor customer service here.

I love this branch! The employees are courteous and helpful. Often times I am able to email them inquiries if I am unable to go into the branch and they respond promptly.
I recently purchased a new car and they made the addition to my policy an easy transaction.

Wow! Never thought i had to write a review at aaa. Been a member for over 10 years. Came over to buy two tickets to the aquarium of the pacific and the service guy Matt took 30 mins to get the tickets and there wasn’t even any customers in the office beside myself. What a shame and this wasn’t the only time I had bad service here.

Went to pay my registration and after 15 minutes of sitting there I never got called. So I walked out. It’s faster to lick a stamp and mail it. Just to let people know it was 2:20 p.m. on a Monday so it wasn’t crowded at all! If you have to go to a AAA, I suggest going to the one in Anaheim if you’re close enough because they have a speed line for people paying registration. That way you don’t have to wait for people taking 20 – 30 minutes scheduling trips or applying for insurance. Just walk in pay cash or check for registration and leave!

DONT GO HERE FOR DMV SERVICES! I think this place is a training center, NOBODY knows what is going on. They «forgot» to have me sign paperwork, waited 2 ½ weeks, had to go back, and now wait another 2 weeks for title. MATT at counter answers me with a shrug of his shoulders. I should of waited in the 4 hour DMV line instead. I will be canceling my membership and insurance with them!

I been AAA member for more than 10yrs. Today I went for Change of address for my car registration.
Got help by Matt … I gave him zero star … Rude … Never go back to this place again …

«AAA The insurance Company that does not pay» I was rear ended by a man while I was stopped at a traffic light. The man hit me at over 40 mph. That was Easter 2013, and now I have to sue this man and lien his house. Why?
AAA Still has not paid me the complete value for me totaled car. Instead they offered me almost $ 3,000. less and want me to keep the wreck. Not to mention not paying the hospital bill, the towing, the injuries to e and the baby that was I was babysitting.
I just obtained a new attorney today.
With AAA one might save you a few bucks on the insurance cost, but will cost you much more in the long run. So sad, but this man will have to sell his house to pay the damages. That is why I now say «AAA the insurance company that does not pay»
