Unfortunately, I had to use the towing. I was on the news for the awesome backup I caused on 95 though. Never thought I would have so much fun being towed though. «John Boy» is a virtuoso of towing. His talent and passion for his work is evident. He loves his job and I know the history of Redman and all the services that they do. I was engaged throughout the whole trip with amazing stories for my whole trip down to the repair shop. Also, not a scratch on my vehicle and I am sure «John Boy» would not have been able to treat it better even if it was his vehicle. If Mr. Redman reads this. You have a good one in old «John Boy» there!

Terrible service. My car was taken there after an accident, they have a contract with Arlington County and it shows. A bunch of rude and lazy people with no regard for customer service. The worst, DO NOT USE THEM.

My car died in a parking garage and Geico called redman for help getting it to the dealer. The gentleman who came with an appropriate sized truck to get in the garage was named Moe, and he was wonderful. Efficient, easygoing, and kind. I would never expect to receive such wonderful customer service from a towing company, but he was great. I really appreciated the service provided and would recommend this company for your towing needs.

While stopped at a stoplight at 4 Mi Run the other day I wondered if Redman Towing was trying to CREATE towing situations. The ape in the 3500 series Redman Tow Truck deliberately stopped his truck an inch behind my bumper. Had he crept forward it would have caused significant damage. Was he high on something or just being a #%^&$##??

Towed the car, had it for less than an hour, charged $ 240. Damaged the front bumper and denied it.

Okay, never in a million years did I think i’d be writing a complimentary review for a towing company, but here goes. I got a frantic call from a female friend very late one evening saying she couldn’t find her car where she parked it in a residential area of Arlington adjacent to a commercial restaurant area. After driving down to pick her up we ascertained that her car was ticketed by Arlington County Police and had been towed to the Redman facility in Shirlington. We arrived there and at first the office/​trailer seemed vacant but someone eventually emerged from the impound lot. He was polite and invited us into the trailer to conclude the car retrieval. The gentleman was very professional, courteous and congenial. His co-​worker later met up with us and was also quite pleasant. They explained the circumstances (including the fact she had accidentally parked in front of some homeowner’s grassy, unpaved driveway that was admittedly easy to mistake for a lawn). We paid up and they fired up and brought her car forward and despite the initial anger she had been won over by their collective charm (and that the 2^nd guy was a bit of a fellow cat fancier and took good care of his stray and feral furry charges). Not the most fun-​filled or least expensive way to spend an early morning but the experience was light years better than my previous dealings with contract towing companies. But then again it wasn’t my car being towed this time! :-) Either way, not too shabby, guys.

My non-​running car needed to be flatbed transported to the service station. Robbie from Redman provided On-​Time, Professional, Courteous service — at a Very reasonable price! Thank you!

Used them when my truck wouldn’t start. They came earlier than estimated which is always great. The guy they sent was very professional and extremely nice. It was raining and really cold but he didn’t rush he just did his job. Great professional business.

The dad was involved in an accident a few months ago and taken to the hospital so the police called this company to remove the car from I-​395. We called to pick up the car the day after… and their towing price was ABUSIVE. I have used towing companies before… not close. Theoy obviously take advantage of the situation. BTW, they woman there said that it was the «contracted» rate with FFX police… BS! I called the police and there is no such «contract» rate. Very difficult people to deal with. Stay away if at all possible.

If I could give 0 stars to this towing company, I would.
My car was in an accident where the other driver was at fault. The police officer called Redman Fleet Services to pick up the car and I handed my key over to the driver. The insurance company of the other company used a separate towing company to take the car from Redman’s lot to the auto body shop. A day later, I received a call from the auto body shop letting me know that somehow the key to my car was never turned in.
After several phone calls and requests for both companies to look for the key to my car (which is their responsibility to keep track of!), it took the second towing service actually going to Redman’s place of business for these incompetent individuals to find my car key.
All of this took a week. A week. Within this week, the only response I received from Redman’s was «The other towing service company must have lost it.»
No one bothered to look for the key at all until ANOTHER towing service demanded that Redman’s look for it. The service I received was extremely unprofessional, unhelpful, and much more concerned with shifting the blame than helping a customer with a problem CAUSED by the company itself. Avoid at all costs.

I posted a review on this business and I see that It has been taken down! My motorcycle was towed in on Saturday morning at 6 am and I picked it up Monday at 9pm. I was charged with a processing fee.
Their paperwork clearly states that they record the lien once your vehicle is at their location for 72 hrs. My motorcycle was not there for 72 hrs. I was charged a $ 125 fee. When I was calling to see how much it would cost to pick up my motorcycle I was told it would be $ 200 plus $ 50 per day.
I should of been charged $ 300 max not the $ 425 that I ended up paying. Consumers beware!

My wife and I picked up multiple nails on I-​95 which completely shredded our tire on a Saturday. With only about 2 feet of shoulder, there was no way to change the tire safely on the highway, necessitating a tow truck.
Our insurance contacted Redman’s who dispatched Joel to our location. From the time we contacted our insurance to the time he was picking us up was less than 30 minutes. He had our car up on a flatbed in under 5 and was a constant professional. I highly recommend Redman’s to anyone who needs a tow.

Car got towed to Redman’s lot. The driver left the key in the ignition and in the on position while it was on their lot. When we went to retrieve the car, the battery was totally dead so they put in on the charger. While waiting for it to charge, the lot attendant proceeded to smoke a cigarette in the car that we had just put a brand new headliner into.
For starters, the drivers should be more cognizant when dropping off vehicles. Turning off the ignition is kind of a no-​brainer.
As for smoking in customer vehicles… That’s just downright rude and disrespectful.

I had family members visiting the DC area from out of town who needed a tow truck and we were referred to Redman. They had a great experience (as «tow truck experiences» go, all things considered). The thing that made the difference was their driver, whose name they can’t recall but apparently he’s from Alberta Canada. Anyways, the guy was incredibly nice and honest – gave them some straight-​shooter advice regarding auto shops in the area, and got the job done quickly. We appreciated this enough to A) write this review and B) give them a call to deliver the feedback over the phone.

A while back got my car towed. They stole my GPS from my car. When I went back to confront them about it one of the employees looked nervous upon questioning but pretended he didn’t know anything. The only reason they have 1 star is because the secretary was nice.

I got my car towed and it was totally my fault, so I’m not going to say off the bat that the tow company was unfair or taking my car because, frankly, they had a right to. But having dealt with towing companies before, I expected to have some miserable dude charge me an arm and a leg and not be too nice about it. Shady business, etc. I was pleasantly surprised when I had to go to Redman this morning to get my car. They were polite and sympathetic, and cut me a deal, even though it was my fault. Not shady at all, totally personable, and super careful with my car.
So if you happen to get towed involuntarily, hope it’s these guys who do it.

People hate tow truck companies. They steal your car in the middle of the night. They often have a stogie in their mouth and carry weapons. Talk about a Unilocal-​Nightmare.
I needed on a Sunday to get my car towed. I gathered a list provided by Allstate Ins. and from a buddy in the towtruck industry who carries a weapon and a stogie in his mouth. Redman’s was suggested by both. The only reason Redman’s did not get a 5 star is because the lady I called did not volunteer their rates, hey to do that is Nordstrom level customer service.
Scott my «wrecker guy,» was prompt, stood by their rates when told they were a bit high, and with his knowlege of what he thought was wrong with my car suggested I take my car to a nearer place. In other words no up-​sell approach. I even researched the route he took and it was the shortest route. He cared about possibly losing me while I followed him and did not seem impatient even when I made phone calls to my father for advise and such. I have an HRC sticker and rainbow rings in my car and whether he was ignorant or not I was treated well. I suppose it helps I know cars.
Towing is never under good circumstances and I try to rise above my own personal problems when reviewing. Redman’s is reccomended by my friend in the industry, my uncle, and by me.

Worst service in VA. Next to Dominion that is. But these guys are just as bad. There fees are ridiculous and there attitudes are worse. Only bright spot was the pretty lady inside. Other than that they all can get the one finger salute. Save yourself the hassle and find a better company.
