Tile & Glass Depot

I have not done business with Tile and Glass Depot and I probably won t. The owner, Rick has an attitude and poor people skills. Everything in this store from tile to glass is overpriced. You can shop around and get the same stuff for 30% less elsewhere. And no they are not the largest showroom in Central Florida. Stay away unless you like to overpay.

Thank heavens for social media. I recently had this company install a shower door in our newly remodeled bathroom. The person who came out and did the measurements was nice and was thorough. I was told it would take about two weeks to arrive — so far no problem. I received a call about a week later letting us know it had arrived and could they come out to install it. We were out of town so I asked if they could be there 5 days later first thing — the response was no problem.
That morning arrives, an hour goes by and no nothing. I called the showroom and they (think his name was David) told me the installers had to go to a warehouse or supply lace to get a part and they would be on their way in half an hour — meaning about an hour by the time they got to our house. Would have been nic if they called. An hour and a half goes by and the installer call to say they would be at ours in about half an hour because they were just finishing up another job. At this point I am angry because I had been lied to, took a morning off from work to be home, etc.
Fast forward two weeks (the shower door had been installed — the guys that did it were great) and I notice a slight leak from a grout line. No biggie, I figure I’ll just have them come out and touch it up — a minor thing. So I call and the same person (David, I think) answers. He tells me I can touch it up with some silicone, and its our fault because the floor was slightly off level. Now I have to go out, buy silicone and hope that I do it properly. After I grumbled, he said they do offer free service calls. If it they were professional, they would have just done that in the first place.
