We love coming here the staff is very friendly and the food is always great! The décor is OK but its what you would expect from a fish«shack». I’ve honestly never had any thing but the fried fish before because its so good no need of trying anything else!

I was very pleased with the service at this joint. Al the food that I ate… Fried mushrooms, crawfish, gator, catfish were delicious. The ambiance was inviting. The decorations on the walls for the mood made for great conversation. The staff was very friendly. Thank you for welcoming me back to Texas with your great hospitality that is famous in East Texas. I’ll definitely eat there again!

The outside of the building was run down. I almost told my husband to keep driving. But decided to be adventurous. I’m so glad I did I had the fried shrimp and my husband had the four catfish fillets everything was wonderful. I think my favorite side was the hush puppies and the baked potato. The only item I did not care for was the corn on the cob it was pretty soggy. The service was great the waitress really hustled. I would have given it five stars except for the exterior of the building.

Catfish shacks are as ubiquitous as BBQ pits in this area, and I’ve hit quite a few. But Duke’s is a cut above. The place is clean, well-staffed, and really nice inside. The food — well it’s damned near perfect. Excellent thick slabs of catfish well-prepared and lightly breaded. No piles of breading and tiny fish here. Big hunks of flaky white fish and just exactly the right amount of batter. The pinto beans are wonderful — but the fish is amazing. Some of the best I have ever had. Additionally, the waitstaff are adorable and the service is great. I will most definitely be back!

The whitest catfish ever. This John Wayne clad, casual dining spot is the perfect place for a business lunch for mud loggers and lawyers alike. The chicken house/shrimping shack feel doesn’t distract from the main focus — the fried seafood. We opted for the $ 7.99 lunch special, which is enough catfish for two people, fries/coleslaw, hushpuppies, and beans. Wow! This fish was white, flaky perfection. The batter was light and not too salty. If you are looking for heavy fried goodness, then don’t eat the catfish. But if you are trying to find a favorite catfish/shrimp place, then give them a try.
