The staff here is really really nice :)! all the food taste fresh and i like how you can customize your own bowls. It’s a great fast casual restaurant and always clean too.

This food is unique in its own little ways. Unlike Panda Express, you can pick each ingredient which is awesome! It is a bit on the pricier side though! I recommend trying this!

This is the best Tokyo Joe’s within 50 miles I’m guessing. I’ve tried the one on Lincoln St. downtown Denver, the one on S. Colorado Blvd., the Arvada location on Wadsworth, 120th& Huron and this Longmont location. This is the best by far. My personal favorite on the menu is the Cali Tartare roll. Though I believe the name has changed but ingredients the same. Today is the 20th birthday of Tokyo Joe’s and I’m celebrating with them. Yummmmie! BTW the management and employees have been so friendly. We love driving the extra miles to eat at this location. HAPPYBIRTHDAYTOKYOJOE’S!

This place sucked. Really, it just sucked. Even two months later I can’t get over how awful it was. The food was obviously from frozen, and so flavorless that we left most of it uneaten. I would rather be hungry(and make my kids wait several hours) than go here again. Two thumbs way down.

Never been in a Tokyo Joe’s, so I don’t know what is typical. I know we weren’t given the 2 for 1 Monday deal, despite it being advertised on every table. However, the cashier refused to give us our receipt so we figured it wasn’t worth arguing over. Sushi rolls weren’t even grocery store quality. Go to the Firestone KS and they’ll give you a better wrapped roll. Noodles were cooked correctly, but the chicken was boiled and tasteless. Veggies seemed pretty freash. Would probably have given them a 3 star if I had not tried the rolls or had to deal with the cashier.

A very comfortable atmosphere for small groups. Clean, neat, well designed. Had weather been nice the outdoor seating would have been magnificent. Ramen noodle soup was fantastic. Was a little disappointed the sushi orders were backed up for like 20min. I couldn’t order my sushi because I couldn’t wait around for it. But overall great experience.

An absolute insult to Japanese cuisine. Sauces are pure sugar, noodles overcooked… bland, bland, bland.

The staff is on the hash, high like kites flittering on the winds of lives destine to earn just-right at minimum wage. Eating here is similar to chasing The White Rabbit into Wonderland. If I could give this place red eyes instead of stars it would be worthy of of a least 12 because there were 6 very stoned staff. A enjoyable bunch of guys unwittingly making the case for repealing Colorado’s wonderful pot laws. Hunter would have been proud, if the wave crested in Las Vegas it is circling the drain in Longmont. Withstanding a staff that makes Matthew McConaughey look as if he is ready the take on the Iran Peace Talks-the food fell flat, very disappointing for a place that from the outside showed so much promise

I ordered the mahi mahi bowl and tiger shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. I had passion fruit black tea. My husband ordered the steak and broccoli bowl and ordered a Dr Pepper. Everything I ate and drank was really tasty. My husband said that everything he ate was very satisfying. I would have preferred to have been able to make my own bowl with mahi mahi or shrimp as one of the seafood choices, which is why i didn’t give it 5 stars.

Yeah it was OK. I was impressed at how health conscious the place seemed to be. I wasn’t thrilled with the Teriyaki bowl that I got as it was lacking sauce. I took it to-go, so maybe I should have asked for another container? Maybe they would have charged for it? Dunno. I guess I’d return to find out. The food did seem fresh.

We love us some Tokyo Joes, and so happy its in Longmont now(we used to have to drive to boulder or westminster). I’ll break this review into two categories, because they are quite different here… Sushi and bowls. Sushi — if I was rating tokyo joes by their sushi alone, I’d probably give them a 3. There are certainly better sushi options in town. In addition Tokyo Joe’s advertises that it’s made to order, but many times we’ve seen them pre-making california rolls and often the sushi is cold, indicating pre-made and refrigerated… if I wanted pre-made, I’d stick with grocery store sushi… but occasionally you get a really good roll as well. For a while Tokyo Joes was selling a «Cali Tar Tar» roll, which I would rank as a 4.5÷5, a very good roll with lots of good flavor, but for some reason it was taken off the menu. If you buy a california roll, you’ll get a basic california roll. Some of the other rolls(Yo roll, one of my faves) are pretty decent though… When it comes to the bowls, this is what we like the most here. I’d give them a five based on the bowls. Featuring ingredients you pick which are(relatively) healthy, with a variety of sauce options, and taste quite good. My only minor issue is here is that they used to sell a «Orange Yuzu» sauce that I loved, and like the Cali Tartar roll, they took it off the menu. I generally take the mojo sauce, which actually isn’t listed on the sauce list but comes as a separate bowl and generally they dont mind making the switch. Overall, food is good, you feel good about eating it, and has a cool environment. I wish they could improve the sushi, but I’ll still give them 5 stars… :)

I work at the Sunflower Spa just down the street and I am overjoyed they have this«fast food» option near my work. There are many foods I can not eat due to allergies and sensitivities, I stick with lean meats and vegetables as often as I can. Really this is not fast food because the veggies are fresh and crisp and the meats and fish are lean. I have enjoyed their salads, their stir fry bowls, their sushi, their chicken skewers, their spring rolls and I have never been disappointed. When working a long shift I need fuel and I leave here re-energized and ready to work a few more hours. My favorites are the YO sushi and the spring rolls that are like a salad in rice paper, never fried. Their spicy chicken soup is great on a cold winters night and its GF! Something else I really dig about this place is the staff is great. Friendly, prompt, courteous and clear. I am deaf and once in a while they need to write a special or something for me and they always do. I really appreciate that. Its interesting because the staff is patently young so I didn’t have high expectations for service but they have all been great every time I go there and I go a lot:) The last thing is for what you pay you get a lot and high quality food. VERY reasonable prices.

I am thrilled that Tokyo Joe’s is in Longmont and we’ve been happy with our experiences the few times we’ve been since they opened. I usually get the white chicken with brown rice bowl with sauces on the side — and a bunch of veggies. It’s always plenty of food — though it seems to vary a bit on the rice to chicken ratio; sometimes more of one and less of the other, but still a good value. The boyfriend is a bit more adventurous; he seemed most pleased with the salmon bowl. TONS of salmon! He also recently tried one of their bowls — Joe’s Noodle Bowl maybe? There was plenty of stuff in it but he said the broth was really salty and a bit… soy sauce-y perhaps? I think he was expecting something a bit more miso-y so maybe that’s on him. I’ll say that their sushi is pretty good too… probably not the best sushi you’ll ever have but it’s quick and affordable and tasty.

Decent portions, skimpy on the meat, very little sauce. Not my first choice of an Asian restaurant. I would come back to try something else, but would not make it my first choice of a restaurant to go out to eat.

First time I came here I ordered a large salad. I was greatly disappointed by the lack of ingredients and the dressing. My husband had the Ramen and loved it so we gave it another go. This time I ordered the cucumber salad and the gyoza, cucumber salad is delicious with rice vinegar and the gyoza was a bit over cooked. My husbands Ramen was also claimed to be delicious the second time as well.

Disappointed! I was super excited to hear Tokyo Joes was opening in Longmont until I had my first visit. When we got home with our lunch I was disappointed to see what looked like frozen veggies that were overcooked. Not sure this place will be on our list of options.
