Mackie Handyman and Tile

Joe is the ninja of all handymen. He’s awesome. He can do a lot more than your ordinary handyman — he redid our bathroom after it was flooded last fall (drywall, retiled our floor, installed a vanity and hooked up the plumbing), laid down impeccable tile work (and that’s saying a lot because I’m really, really exacting), and then came back to help us replace a clogged drain. If it’s not enough that his work is top notch, he’s also just a top notch person. He’s honest, conscientious, responsive, on time, and friendly. Just a good guy all around. We almost want to make work up so he can come around more!

Joe has worked on several projects at our house ranging from a simple dryer vent repair to a complete bathroom renovation — including demolition of soffits, new cast iron tub, new toilet, new vanity, and of course new tile. Joe did such a great job on the first bathroom project that we asked him to do a similar remodel on a second bathroom.
I like working with Joe because he’s punctual, honest, trustworthy, happy, and has great communication skills. We will definitely work with Joe on future projects.

To say that Joe Mackie is a handyman is like saying that Picasso is a nice painter, or that Jimmy Page is a good guitarist. It just doesn’t do him justice! Joe just completed remodel work on 2 of my bathrooms and I couldn’t be happier. The tile work is perfection and I as am a perfectionist myself … I appreciate the skill and care that he took. He also installed new sink cabinets and sinks with really tricky plumbing connections and was so skilled and knew just how to approach the work.
He is also just a great guy to have around! Punctual, the nicest guy, great conversation and he was kind to my house and to my dogs. Joe is creative and conscientious in his work. I would recommend him to you without any reservation and I will definitely work with him again in the future for any of my home improvement projects!

We have had Joe over twice now, and are very pleased with his work. He has re-​caulked our sinks and showers, and installed new glass tile for a kitchen backsplash. Really a nice guy who does great work, is on time and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We were recently in the process of getting our home ready to sell. Joe did some work for us, repairing the floor of the under-​sink cabinet. He was professional, courteous, super nice with my 3 year old and did a great job. I would recommend him without reservation and look forward to working with him again!
