Every time I come back to Longmont I make sure go here. It is the best authentic Mexican food in Northern Colorado. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

I go here quite a lot. Inexpensive(if you stay away from the tequila) and excellent. The food arrives quickly and the service is always spot on. They keep the place clean and I can usually find a good soccer game playing on one of the TV monitors. My kids love the Sapodillas. Daily specials are excellent and well priced.

The food was outstanding! I rarely add a review, but this one deserves high marks. I had the burrito/chili relleno/enchilada combo to try a bit of everything. The green chili was great, and I had a dilemma of which bite to have last.

Great food and service. As we arrived they were on the ball, this place knows how to do it when its busy! Loved the carnitas! As girlfriend loved the flauta supreme! We finally found great Mexican food.

I’m going to have to give ‘em a five star review. Only had one dish — but it was awesome. Stopped in for lunch yesterday and they had a combination tostada with grilled octopus and shrimp. No rice, cheese or beans. I didn’t want that stuff anyways. Really inexpensive, tasty and friendly service. If I’m ever in that area again I would go back and order the same dish in a heartbeat.

The fish tacos were on the saltier side, but the chicken and steak tacos were good. My home-made guacamole is better, but the free chips and salsa made up for it. In terms of taste, I’d give it a 3, but for the value and variety, I give it a 4.

Being from Texas it’s hard to find good Mexican food, but Las Palmeras gives us our fix!

Good, standard cheap Mexican fair. They have a larger than«normal» menu with some different items.

I’ll be honest. I have only had one meal here… But I’ve been to this restaurant well over 30 times. Every time it is the same delicious tacos al carbon, side of grilled jalapeños, and ice cold horchata. Even though the menu is crafted to appeal to an American audience, like 3 Margaritas, the food seems more genuine and the reasonable prices confirm its authenticity. The staff here is incredibly friendly an they are attentive to your needs. A very positive note, they are QUICK. Very little time is spent waiting for your food. Next time you are planning on some 3 Margarita’s, just keep south on Main St. a little ways and try them out. Your palate and your wallet will thank you later

This place is always on point and has delicious food at a very reasonable price. Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Longmont. The two chicken burritos combo is primo.

Picked up $ 2 breakfast burritos. I can handle heat, and was happily surprised that their«SPICY» was actually spicy and delicious. Well worth the $ 2.

This is for the one on Francis Street. Both owned by the same family. Overall… Not impressed. I tried it three times and all thee times… Meh. The hot sauce was gringo hot(i.e. not very); the portion sizes were small and most egregious for a Mexican restaurant in Longmont: it was expensive. $ 15 for a burritto and drink? Where am I… Boulder? NO I’m in Longmont. Come on guys. You know better.

I love this restaurant. My husband and I were new to Longmont and excited about finding a good local Mexican restaurant. This was our first stop and we love it! We have been back about 10 times. I love the steak burrito. The salsa is good. The waitstaff is friendly. My only complaint is that they are slow to process your payment.

The décor was nice and we got a nice booth. I checked out the menu and was a bit overwhelmed. WOW they have a lot of menu items. Cool stuff too, like lots of seafood, oysters, and cornish game hen. Since I had never been here, I went for the«Las Palmeras Special.» I figured the namesake special of the place would be a good choice to really let the place shine. It was a sort of Mexican stir fry. It had bland, chewy chunks of beef with about two chunks of potato and some minimal peppers and onions. What a disappointment. I had to pour their salsa over it for any sort of flavor. All in all I won’t be coming back. A lot of people seem to be commenting on their seafood, so maybe that’s their specialty here. Unfortunately, after that bland chewy lunch I won’t be giving it another shot. There are plenty of other much better choices for Mexican food in Longmont.

Meh. Our service was outstanding– We had a very friendly, attentive waiter and our order was ready really quickly. Our food was kind of lackluster. They had all the standbys, and they were all perfectly passable, but not particularly memorable. We’ll probably be back, but just because it’s so close to home and because there wasn’t anything to complain about.

Good Mexican food, friendly service, great price. My wife and I stopped into Las Palmeras this weekend after looking at the Unilocal reviews. This is a solid, family-style, authentic Mexican restaurant, complete with Mexican music and décor, but without being cheesy. It was fairly early, but the restaurant was bustling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tortilla chips were fresh, thick, and crisp. The salsa was flavorful and had a nice spicy bite to it. My wife ordered the fish tacos and I had the chicken enchiladas. Both were very good. The menu is fairly extensive and I look forward to trying many more of their dishes. I almost hate to rate the restaurant after eating there only once, but we had a very good experience. I should point out that we did not sample any of the drinks, but I look forward to having a few margaritas the next time we stop in. This place has a serious selection of tequilas.
