OK store, but Wow the owner is rude. First thought was to grant a pass for having alcohol on the breath, since that’s what they sell. But a belligerent drunk is so not cool. Having an dog wandering around is often a homey touch, but don’t touch this one — it is not often bathed and not well behaved.

Rude staff. The owner. …I can’t even begin to explain how much I hate that money ends up in her pocket. Feels like funding a war criminal.

Head over to Hover Sometimes I just stop by to grab myself some booze to unwind. This place is pretty awesome. The selection is large but not out of control huge. The establishment itself is roomy with tons of great wines and such but I’ve come in numerous times for certain alcoholic beverages and concoctions to find that they do not carry them. For example, they only carry the regular Hpnotiq, no Wet Willie jello shots, and no Frangelico liqueur. I often wonder what you Colorado people use to make chocolate cake/birthday cake shots when you don’t have Frangelico sold in the area? I guess I’ve been spoiled with the great party selections back home in Cali. Anyway, I still happen to like this place since the space is clean, prices are comparable, and they have a rewards program. No complaints so far. Every staff member I’ve encountered was cordial and friendly. I do get the occasional snooty attitude or less then enthusiastic employee but I don’t care. I’m in and out so fast that I can careless how their days going because I’m about to turn up ;) Overall, their good in my book! Four stars sums them up quite well.

very good liquor store… great wine selection, frequent shopper program and a good beer selection. my only request would be to expand the cold beer for more craft brew varieties. this is Colorado after all. ;-)

Great selection of whatever booze you fancy. Carries all the old standby choices as well as a varied selection beyond; a section of the store remains dedicated to a selection of wine from different regions and countries. Refrigerated displays contain a multitude of beers, from the cheapest swill to the finer microbrews. Many local products are carried at the location, as well. The ambience of the store is exquisite, and the decoration is as warm as it is inviting. The service and operating personnel have always been helpful in locating particulars and facilitating the checkout process. The prices are fairly comparable to any other liquor store, of course, but the cheaper products are carried, should price be a paramount issue. This is no hole-in-the-wall booze stop, but a proper shop dedicated to offering a wide array of options in alcoholic beverages and mixers. It’s my preferred liquor shop, and I try to keep my business here(quick booze-runs notwithstanding). Do note, though, that this location observes a regulation against using«vertical ID» as a valid method of identification, so ensure that you bring a horizontally-oriented form of issued identification if you want to patronize this location. Overall, a classy, inviting shop with a vast selection of products at a reasonable prices. Make sure you bring a horizontal ID; vertical ID’s are not accepted to verify age.

I think this is the best liquor store in Longmont.(I know the Longmont hatrers will love this statement). They have an extensive wine selection and an equally extensive micro-brew selection. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a roomy store that invites browsing, and unlike many of the liquor stores in town, does not have the ambiance of a DMV.

I’ve been patronizing Hover Crossing for my wine and beer needs pretty much since they opened. Not only are they a good location for those of us in the NW section of Longmont, they are a particularly clean and elegant store. A great selection of wines, organized and displayed by region and type along with good information on points, awards, etc… The beer selection is nice — I was happy to be able to get my Gordon brewed by Oskar Blues here — and also discovered other great beers, like those from SKA brewing in Durango. Both Oskar and SKA were brewing their craft beer in cans, which I prefer. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a loyalty/points program that gets you some discounts on future purchases. They also have a drive through(I’ve not used it). I’d say the two things keeping me from rating a 5 on this are: * The loyalty points system doesn’t add up to a significant savings, it’s better than nothing though * There do not seem to be many beer specials — I know running a liquor store is tough and margins especially on beer are thin, but customers like a great deal every so often! That said, great place to get your spirits — tell Mr. Cook I sent you!
