The Publix Supermarket after an 18 month non– compete expired with the adjoining CVS, is the place to shop for all your drugstore needs if you don’t feel like going off Island to Walgreen’s. I got tired of the lax attitude of the pharmacy staff that does not access their voicemails from doctor’s calling in prescriptions, causing customers to arrive to pick up a non-filled prescription. In addition, a long waiting line forms at check out when the ZOMBIE cashier is on duty.

The staff at the CVS on Longboat is abrupt if not totally rude. They need to work on thier attitude. I don ‘t enjoy shopping there but have no choice since I need to be in the CVS system. Maybe they are tired of dealing with us old people.

Was really hoping they would replace the old incredibly rude staff with new ones when they reopened but they didn’t so we still won’t shop here. It’s worth the drive into town to Walgreens just to not have to deal with the attitudes! Can’t wait for the new Publix to open with a pharmacy!

Very helpful staff. I needed my prescription transferred from Chicago … no problem there. I forgot her name, but I know that she’s a Filipina from Cebu … she was very efficient, took care of my needs right away. And when I came back to pick it up, it was there, waiting for me.

Normal CVS with poor service and attitudes in the pharmacy. I drive 10 miles to go to Walgreen’s.

What can be said about this CVS? It’s pretty much like many of the others. There’s a full pharmacy and a one hour photo at this location. They have all the basic(and then some) needs like the rest of the stores. I came by here to pick up my mom’s prescriptions as well as some new string of lights for the Christmas tree. The people who work there are nice, and the place never seems particularly busy. This store pretty much covers all of Longboat Key, and as far as I know, the only option on the island. It’s in a small complex of stores, including a Publix supermarket, a couple of clothing stores, and a liquor store, so it’s not too hard to miss from the main road.
