Everything we were looking for in beach accommodations. The condo was clean, had all needed appliances and the view was fantastic! We stayed for a week and could not have asked for anything else! We both have high stress jobs, so a week of relaxing on the beach was just what we needed as a family. Kids(14 and 9) stayed entertained. We are looking forward to doing it again!

Been coming to Longboat for years Stayed 4 other places. .Responding to a past reviewer: Rust on a refrigerator(and many metal surfaces) is normal anywhere at the beach and not limited to Cabana Beach club. I see the same thing at the South Jersey Shore. Its the proximity to the beach and the salt air. Also dim lights for the turtles protects the ecologic balance that makes this island so beautiful. CB was a good experience for me. I stayed bayside and the privacy in January was wonderful. Beautiful views of the well healed neighbors boats and trees/foliage.Direct canal front unit that is fed by the bay. My condo had all the necessities of fresh towels enough for a week, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, soap and coffee. In fact much better than any condo in which I’ve ever stayed where you bring everything including sometimes your own sheets(jersey shore). The beachside was wonderful. Free beach chairs, grills, showers. The RVA staff was helpful and accommodating even coming by AFTERHOURS within 15 minutes of me getting locked out. Would recommend this place.

We stayed in unit four. We arrived after hours so we had to go to the realty office and pick up the keys from the after hours box. The property is very dimly lit. From reading, I expect this is due to not wanting to confuse any hatching sea turtles, but if sure made it tough to find the right door the first time. Oh, by the way, there is no elevator. It is only two flight of stairs, but it made me realize that where ever I retire to needs to be on the ground floor or have an elevator. We were surprised to find that there were no towels, no toilet paper, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. This necessitated an urgent trip to the Publix which closed five mins before we got there. The CVS was open until 10 pm, and we bought the bare necessities. The next morning we waited until about 10 am and then called the answering service about the towels and a few other things. About an hour later, some people arrived and began to tidy up the place, left us some towels, bars of soap, and a dishwasher packet. As far as the condo goes, the only two rooms that were carpeted were the two bedrooms. The beds were comfortable. I did notice if I put on a pair of footies in the morning, they were blackened on the bottoms by mid day. I suspect the place had not had a thorough cleaning for some time. The refrigerator had a rusted door. The bathroom toilet filled very slowly. You could not be in the shower and use the water anyplace else, or you would have wide swings in shower temperature. The pool was small, but pristine. There was a free washer machine and two dryers for the entire complex, and while they were busy, it wasn’t hard to get time to do your wash. The beach is incredible. Even during Spring Break weekend, you could look up and own the beach and see maybe a total of ten people in the mornings. There were always chairs available and they were free. TV’s were flat screens, worked fine, and had DVD, VCR and stereo capability. Free high speed WIFI available in the condo and worked flawlessly.

This place is not closed, I’ve already written the message to Unilocal. I kind of don’t want to even write this review, because I want to keep coming back and having the same awesome experience. The beach: stay on the Gulf side! we were here after Labor Day and had the whole, long expanse of the beach almost exclusively to ourselves. The sand is soft, the waves were a great size for swimming around, the chairs and umbrellas were free. Watch out for crabs popping out of their holes in the sand, though they usually stay in if they hear you running around on top. I also spotted some dolphins jumping way out in the Gulf, too. There is a nice outdoor shower to rinse off before you go back inside or to the pool. The pool: very clean, with deck chairs all around and some tables too. The condo: so nice! decorated how a beach house should be with warm tile floors and pastel walls. Each bedroom had a flat screen with DVD player. The queen bed seemed kind of small. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms, though some of the fixtures should be updated. There is a large dining room table, and a full kitchen with all necessary pots/pans/stuff. The balcony is really nice too, with a great view of the Gulf. The area: Plenty of supermarkets and little beach shops and the people are SONICE around here, it was such a welcome change from Boston. We didn’t go out to eat while I was here, so I’ll be doing some research for the next trip. I’m a little worried about hurricanes ruining a future trip at the same time of year, so I’ll be keeping an eye on that. Can’t wait to come back!
