System Dance Club

I would recommend anyone to stay far away from here as humanly possible. This place is run by a man who PRETENDS to care about the community and in fact lies to your face! He promises the types of people who come to his club will be respectful and the club scene will not be trashy. That’s a lie! The type of people who come here are the ones who pee on your car, do drugs and sell them in the street, scream in the middle of the street like they’re on spring break while people are sleeping, break glass bottles on the floor so your dogs have to get glass in their paws and get disrespectful when you ask them politely to leave and not hang out in front of your house. This place is where all the low lives of Queens come on the weekend to party. The patrons and the owner have no class whatsoever and if you don’t want to be surrounded by street thugs and savages while you’re clubbing never come here.

If I could give it a negative star I would, stay away from this place!!! Everything about this place is horrible the bouncers are extremely rude, the bartenders don’t know how to count and add up drinks or get them right, and the place itself is dirty out of date and needs some serious upgrade. I’ve been to some luxury places/​clubs and the bouncers at the door were a lot nicer and respectful. The pat down at the door is extremely inappropriate and bouncers were acting like it’s the hottest spot in New York. I also don’t recommend throwing any type of events; it’s just not worth it. Overall there are a lot nicer and better places in Astoria, and you should not spend a dollar at this place.

Worst place I’ve ever been too. Trashy gweedos and crack heads not at all the vibe you get at a real techno club like output.

This place isn’t so bad. I have been here a few times for their after-​hours and they can be fun if enough people show up. I get the feeling the bad reviews are from people who aren’t familiar with the underground scene so the dark and ominous look of the place and crowed does appear to be grotesque but this isn’t one of those nightclubs that you dress to impress. You dress comfortable, make sure you took a nap before you came here and you get ready to dance till the sun comes up (literally) kinds of clubs. I don’t recall ever waiting in a line here.
The music is always amazing. Seeing Ace Alvarez spin is my favorite when I go there and hes on. The sound system isn’t too bad but the dance floor is tiny so there’s a big downfall for this place. The neighborhood is fine. It’s not sketchy.
This place is a trek to get to but its OK in my books.

I was invited to an EDM event here about a month ago. The décor is actually quite nice — tufted velvet couches and modern baroque-​style wallpaper. The sound system is decent, but the bar is a nightmare. $ 14 for a rum and coke, and $ 6 for a bottle of water? No thank you. These guys think they’re running a Manhattan dance club. Needless to say, I decided to spend the night sober. If their dance floor was large enough to fit more than 30 people comfortably, I would have given this place 3 stars. Unfortunately, it does not. Stay away!

This place is ghetto. Paid $ 55 to see a couple of artist like zion, randy and jowell and plan b. First artist didn’t come out till 2:30 am, then he was on stage for about 10 mins then same with the other. Plan b played for no longer than 5 mins, because the club closed at 4 am. We couldnt see much because the ghetto ass people that were in the vip section were standing on top of the benches set up for them. We asked security several times to asked them to sit and security said they can do whatever they want. Place stunk, all you see is ghetto people, i know it was a reggaeton nite but people just cant act. Drinks are $ 12 for a very small cup, The place is a wreck, security big and dumb and rude, there is no organization or professionalism at this place. Stay away and let them close down for their own act. Forgot to mention music kept shutting down because they equipment tripped because people smoke in there, so fire alarms went off. Completely unsafe.

Rude and unsafe place. I would recommend to take a security if you go there.

Trust these other 1 star reviews. This could easily be the worst club in the city.
— Widely Inappropriate pat down. They went as far as to go through the pockets in my wallet.
–Trash vibe. The crowd was just horrible. This place is mostly a hookah bar — NOT a dance club. Barely anyone was dancing.
Avoid at ALL COSTS unless you like to pay out the ass to get your groin fondled by security and suck on a hookah while weak dance music plays in the background.

The Music was amazing! but I checked in a bag in the coat check and they stole my phone, charger, cologne and sunglasses.

Where do I start? This is the worst club I’ve ever gone to in the world. I think clubs in 3^rd world countries are better than this place. Everyone is very unfriendly and it is the dirtiest place I’ve ever been. It seems like they don’t clean up from the day before, if ever. The music is «eh» at best and the DJ’s here are pretty bad and don’t know how to mix the tracks or transition from song to song. The soundsystem while thumpy is pretty low quality as well. Oh and the crowd?! Oh wow… not only does it thin out pretty early but they are the worst trashiest people I have ever seen. For a place like this, you would think the prices would be low but again, this place fails to offer any redeeming qualities. It’s more expensive than really great clubs manhattan.
TLDR: avoid this place like the plague

Hands down the worst place I have ever been to my entire life. Its a club open until 12pm, so I wasn’t really expecting to see the «classiest» crowd in ny. bE prepared to see some hoodlum crackheads there…
1^st thing i didn’t like is price discrimination. As soon as you walk in you know damn well most of the people that walked in didn’t pay the same amount of $$ as you to party.
Secondly. the crowd and vibe is beyond trashy. When I was there, there was probably 3 girls out of the 300 and so people that are there. I don’t think you’d want to ever meet a girl at that place though. and vice versa. any girl that goes to that place wouldn’t want to meet a guy there. You can have alot going for you, but as soon as you set foot in that place, your status goes down to 0.

Good sound system, but the worst club I’ve ever gone too. The staff are horrible, trashy and sucker you for money. Seriously, the only place I’ve ever felt taken advantage of from the inappropriate pat down entering the place to the over-​priced entry fee and drinks. The people who go here are trash and the place is in a horrible location. I hate to be so blunt, but really, this place is gross. Period.

Place was gross!!! The whole place looked like a flood was in the club every where inside the floor was wet… the security guards were all dumb and annoying one would say go in over there and another would say go back and go in over there. bunch of idiots…60 bucks to get in that just shows they only care about money not the music… the system was ok I’ve heard better in alot of other clubs… the neighborhood was gross. then I got there at 4am and they said it would be open till 12 in the afternoon and they got raided and shut down by the cops at 7am. rookies it’s new York pay the cops off. the place was so wet inside it made me feel gross all 3 hours I was there… I will def. Not go back… and then to top it off there was no line outside and not close to capacity and still they made people wait outside in the cold on a sorry looking line. yea I hate that bull… I def. Ain’t going back

Best sound system hands down… The DJ does need to know how to operate it though :) So it can be a luck of the draw depending on DJ. But the place itself is super cozy, great dance floor, great staff and the sound. Oh the sound!!! Went to see Junior Vasquez there and Twilo falshbacks were too real :) Couldn’t stop dancing. Def worth checking out.

The vibe is off the charts! This venue is true to its name «System Dance Club!» The people involved took there time making sure this was nothing less than a power punch of a club, and it shows! The Sound System is in-​creditable! Hear music the way its supposed to be heard, and feel it! As a DJ it was such a pleasure to play on this system! As a fan I can’t wait to hear some of the best DJ’s in the world play here while I bust a move ;-)
