I used Packard for drop-off/pick-up for a little over 6 months. You do have to be careful about there hours. There appears to be a lack of consistency between how late the morning staff say the place will be open versus when it closes. To be careful I would recommend stopping by an hour before they say they would, for me that was usually 8pm at the latest. That aside, very friendly staff that is willing to work with your needs. I had some clothes that I would ask to be hang dried and they did that perfectly. Also they bundle up your clothes neatly. Pricing is reasonable, a little under $ 1 per lb. I recommend them if you are in the area.

I go here every Saturday or Sunday morning to do my laundry, and although it’s small, I’m always able to get a machine. They have machines for small($ 1.50), medium($ 2.50), and large($ 3.50) loads. The dryers are $ 0.25 for 8 minutes. Jose is the main guy who runs it, and then there’s Juan, and they’re both really nice and hospitable. There are a few flatscreen TVs that play movies, TV shows, or whatever so that you can watch if you have to wait around.(I usually wander around the Queensboro Plaza area while my laundry gets done.) They also have a pile of magazines by the window in case you get bored.

This is a separate business from the Packard Square Cleaners next to it. They do a wonderful job with their wash and fold. The clothes come back clean, prices are reasonable, and I’ve never noticed anything missing. If I were basing this review only on the wash and fold, it’d be an easy 5 stars. The delivery service is terrible. I’ve tried to have my laundry picked up/delivered from this place maybe 3 times. Each time, it’s been picked up a minimum of a DAY late, and delivered up to one week later than originally promised. The delivery guy will promise your laundry will be delivered or picked up at a 11 a.m. When you call to find out what’s going on at 1 p.m., they give you a bunch of reasons why they didn’t come, or say«I’m coming at 3 p.m./7 p.m.!» If you don’t call, they’ll just come the next day at a random time. Basic customer service: If you aren’t going to be able to provide a service at the approximate time you promised a customer, let the customer know.
