I ran a 5k this past weekend. Unimaginable a year ago. Thank you doctor for changing my life. I am truly very thankful and appreciative of your work. I couldn’t have imagined a better recovery.

I apologize in advance for this lengthy review, but I feel it is necessary due to the ridiculous and unnecessary services, charges, etc I received from this unprofessional establishment.
On Feb 1^st, I was sent to Dr Stefanides for a check up after being diagnosed for a fractured ankle at urgent care. I walked in a bit before my appointment, and was relieved to see it was not crowded. I filled out my paperwork, and sat down. About 10 patients then came in (afternoon rush?), but hey, offices get busy, it happens. I didn’t worry.
The receptionist proceeds to tell me I owe $ 250 for the visit (my copay is $ 50 for a specialist). I tried to understand where she was coming from in seeing why she was charging me this, and this was all apparently to meet my deductible. My deductible is $ 400, so it wouldn’t meet that regardless, and I later found out the receptionist is obviously not the brightest because after claiming to call my insurance, she said I still had to pay. Not the case. My insurance told me that unless I was having a surgery procedure, I wouldn’t need to pay anything more than $ 50. I was having a check-​up, not a surgical procedure, and not before ten patients walked in of course. I am now waiting for their billing department to get back to me for a refund. Who knows how long that will take.
Now the appointment itself? Terrible. Dr. Stefanides saw me for about 3 minutes total. Saw my xrays, said it wasn’t a big deal at all and I could get off my cast and crutches whenever I wanted. I was extremely disappointed because obviously my injury hurt, and I had previously fractured my ankle countless times so I wanted a real consultation on how to move forward and to avoid further injury in the future. He referred me to a physical therapist and sent me off. During this entire three minutes, he was on his phone, and he had the door open during the check up, which I’m 99% sure violates HIPAA.
I would not see this doctor, or any of his offices again. I will update this when my refund comes through, if it comes through, etc. I’m honestly worried about his other patients, and if they’ve received inaccurate care from him and his offices.

I went to see this doctor and I was very pleased. He listened to all my complaints and concerns, was very patient with me, explained everything. Most helpful doctor ever!

Today was my first time seeing Dr. Stefanides and the entire experience was exceptional! I was completely amazed at how fast I went was seen by the doctor, took x-​rays and was diagnosed… especially since I was an hour late for my appointment. This appointment was actually for my mother who was previously seen by another orthopedist who, in my opinion, was a complete waste of time. I decided to get a second opinion and I am glad I did. Dr. Stefanides recommended to her what I too felt was best, instead of just giving up on an elderly person because they have arthritis. The office was clean and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The doctors and x-​ray technicians were professional, knowledgeable and personable. I drove 1 ½ hours to see them each way and I would certainly do it again. I found Dr. Stefanides by searching on the internet, checking out their vitals and reading reviews. I am very satisfied.

I was recommended to see Dr. Stefanides by my insurance company. I have a broken ankle, and he has been great! The staff is super friendly, and even remembered who I was on my second visit:) it’s little things like that that can really make a difference. The Dr. is also very helpful, and answered all my questions with no hesitation. Although, after I’m done recovering, I wouldn’t like to see him again lol!
