I have gotten a burrito here twice and was disappointed. I was craving a typical burrito, but the burritos here seemed to be made of non-traditional ingredients.

Can’t say enough about this place. Always friendly and delicious. If you haven’t had the Chuleta burrito with avocados, well, you’re letting the best things in life pass you by. They also have fish and shrimp in the store, although it’s not on the menu. Kind of a «secret menu» sort of thing.

Better flavor and more fillings than other places in the neighborhood. Prices are good. Just be prepared to work through any kinks.

Good of food, but forget delivery. Several times that I have ordered it was over an hour and hour and a half to get a few tacos.

This taqueria is a little off the beaten path but the tacos are solid and probably the best in LIC. The service is friendly and the dining area is colorful and clean. I had both chicken and al pastor tacos. The tacos are served simply with meat on what appears to be a freshly made soft corn tortilla. You then dress them yourself at a condiment bar that includes mild(red) and hot(green) salsas, onions, radishes, lime slices, pico de gallo and guacamole salsa(i.e. a green salsa with avocado, not the thick guacamole that you’d find at a Chipolte). The chicken was grilled, not too dry, but a little bland. The taco al pastor was much spicier and flavorful. I’ll definitely make a return trip for lunch but next time I’ll just order the taco al pastor.

There are few Mexican restaurants in the area that deliver so I have tried Homemade taqueria several times hoping that the service will improve, but each time I am let down more than the time before. I have never experienced service this horrible in my entire life. Don’t expect your food in under an hour and a half. Half the time my order is incorrect and there have been times that it arrives cold and soggy. I have asked to speak with the manager several times and they continually say that he is not in or cannot speak with me. I WILLNEVERORDERFROMHEREAGAIN.

Ordered delivery from here recently through Seamless. I’ve been to the other location and was so happy to find that they now have one so close to my apartment! Dangerous and delightful at the same time. I had the chicken burrito with an order of guacamole. I love that they use pinto beans for the burrito. First off, this burrito weighed about 5lbs. They cut it in half for you to make it easier for you to eat. The chips and guac are fresh. I love their hot sauce! Will have to come in and check out the location for myself. but winter is here, so I may just stick to delivery for now lol.

I live very close so I’ve have ordered take-out about 5 times so far. Their tacos are solid and cheap, Burritos are alright, and I’ve had their nachos twice. The carnitas tacos are bomb, the fish tacos are pretty good too. The nachos with chicken that I ordered the first time were really good, but the second time I ordered the nachos they were awful, not sure if they switched something up or if I had a bad batch, but they weren’t good. They always offer $ 15 of food for $ 10 on Unilocal,so if you’re close by you should give it a shot to get your taco fix.

The beef taco is not steak. It is like like thinly sliced beef. Overcooked and not good. Al pastor taco is okay. Guac is too loaded with onions. More onions than avocados. This place is good for the price but their delivery is really horrible. I made a big order(for 8 people) via Unilocal and it took 1.5 hours!!! The guy wasn’t even sorry about the wait… The first time I ordered from them, I ordered via phone and she misunderstood me and sent 2 more of each type of taco than I ordered. I didn’t have enough cash for it all so the delivery guy had me call her and she wanted me to take the extra tacos(which I hand to separate by hand because they were packed together with the ones I ordered) back via delivery guy. I hope they didn’t serve those to anyone else… I must remember not to order from them again.

I’ve gone to the one in Astoria an its pretty good… I don’t know what happen to this one… I ordered food for delivery and OMG food came cold! not only that i order nachos which didn’t seem like nachos. Not only did it have what seem to be a tostada nacho the cheese looked nasty and it came with no salsa, no sour cream and no guacamole… really, Tacos were soggy… I had also told the lady when i ordered that i only wanted onions on the tacos… yet the came with onions and cilantro. Yea never again ordering from this one I rather go to the Astoria one.

If your looking for authentic legit Mexican food this is the place to be! Their food is as good as Mexico’s! I’m Mexican so I have high standards for mexican food and they hit the spot. Their tacos are like 2 $ my fav are the al pastor with pineapples and red sauce on top. Their avocado green sauce is sooooo good chorizo is good their tortilla is also amazing. The only thing that sucks is that this gem is too hidden. U probably won’t ever come across it unless someone tells u about it

This place really doesn’t have its act together. Food takes nearly an hour– and we’re not talking soufflé or well done steaks here. Mexican food shouldn’t take one hour to make– for PICKUP, no less. Delivery is just as bad. They consistently mess up orders(when specifying sauces or side orders, they either forget or disregard special instructions). I’m quite surprised by the positive reviews.

Delivery was prompt. Ingredients fresh. Various tacos were all delicious. Will order again. My bro and I are fat panda bears who are serious foodies.

Fantastic home style, fresh, and authentic Mexican food. I got a platter with chicken, rice, and beans and my boyfriend got the beef tacos. Both were equally delicious. The service is top notch as well. There’s an endearing and genuine quality about the service that’s rare and hard to put into words. It’s subtle things that the owner does that makes you feel attended to and welcome in the restaurant. In any case, I left the place with a smile on my face.

ORDERFROMTHISRESTAURANT!!! I have to limit how much I eat this food. Their tacos are incredible, with a great pico de gallo sauce. I’ve had chicken, spicy pork, chorizo, and mexican sausage. All were great and very cheap and 2 or 3 bucks. The quesadillas are a perfect size for sharing. Chips and guacamole are both fresh. I mean like they are making both the tortilla chips and guacamole fresh every day, and it really shows. One day I will actually visit this restaurant, but until then I will keep getting delivery. Over and over again.

I work two blocks from this restaurant and today is the first time going there for lunch. The food is REALLY mexican food, not some mexican want to be. Food is fresh, meet was cooked perfect and natural juices are NATURAL. Most try the sauces!!!

Yum! I ordered delivery tonight and the food was great. I’m not a California taco snob, but these were some very good tacos. The tacos were fresh, filling and delicious. Great prices too and super fast delivery.

I moved to LIC a few months ago and have been waiting for a good, no-frills mexican restaurant. My prayers have been answered. I ordered three tacos — pollo, enchilada, and bistec encebollado — then made myself to the self-serve topping bar where they have three delicious salsas, pico, beans, cilantro, onion, and radishes. The meats were well seasoned, the tortillas were fresh, and the toppings put everything over the edge. You can tell this is a 100% family-run business with everyone chipping in to do their part. Our server was so pleasant and excited that we were visiting the restaurant. Can’t wait my way back to try all of the other delicious items on the menu. Go check them out!
