I have now visited this location 3 times due to the convenience for me, however, I think I will have to find a new place to go after today! My first Brazilian I got here was fine, run of the mill, but I also got my armpits waxed, for me this wax must not agree with my skin or hair type because every time I leave, no matter what I get waxed, the hair seems to just be broken at the surface, therefore it grows back basically like I have shaven. Personally I prefer soft wax as it is much more thorough and leaves everything smoother. This last experience I had was very awkward, I felt uncomfortable with my technician, and at the front when they asked how my service was I said «different…» There was no inquiring or asking what they could have done, just a laugh and my bill.

I just got home from my first waxing experience at European Wax Center and I will never go to another place after this! I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes regularly for about 4 years and this was the fastest, most thorough, and most professional waxing experience I have ever had. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and informative. I waited less than 5 minutes when Tiffany, my wax aesthetician (that I requested off of a Unilocal review!), greeted me and took me to one of the waxing suites. She was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and professional. She explained the details of how European Wax Center operates (such as the specific type of wax they use, the process, etc, and how that differs from other waxing services — such as those performed at a nail salon). She consistently checked in with me during the wax, making sure the wax and room temperatures were okay and to see if I felt any pain. The pain was minimal in comparison to regular hot wax with paper strips. She did an impeccable job and I was extremely happy when I left. The staff at the front desk informed me of the packages they had available, but did not pressure me to buy them. I ended up purchasing a package as it really is a good value for someone who frequently waxes, but I appreciated their non-​aggressive approach. Overall a wonderful experience!

I had a Brazilian and eyebrow wax with Tiffany and she was amazing! Since it was my first time at European Wax Center, she explained the process and was very thorough, friendly and professional. I definitely will be returning!

Karina is the best, I had my first Brazilian with her, she is excellent very professional and respectful. she did an excellent job… I recommend her, she is great!!!

This is my second time coming here, and while it’s convenient for me, the quality of the service is just not there. My technician was nice and friendly, but there were numerous times I had to point out where hair was missed, so much so after the third time I just decided that I would fix it at home. (Which I should not have to do at this price point.) There was even wax left on my face that my husband noticed in the middle of lunch (not embarrassing or anything…). They are also very pushy at the front desk, and inexplicably tried to sell me on a package that cost more as a bundle even though it was cheaper for me to pay a la carte. So after paying all this money and having to basically redo everything when I get home, I unfortunately can’t recommend here at all. It doesn’t even look like I got waxed.

Amazing Brazilian wax experience. I went in to see Kosima at European Wax Center and she was fabulous! It wasn’t painful at all – their wax is fantastic. Kosima is very professional, calming (ladies, we all know how anxiety-​causing this experience is) and thorough. I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for 10+ years, but this was my first time at European Wax Center and I loved it. Ask for Kosima! She’s a pro!

Went in to see Kosima yesterday for my first wax in about 7 years. I used to get bumps on my skin after a wax so I stopped, but decided to try it again. She did a great job of easing me into it and explained all the techniques and creams she would use to help. She set expectations perfectly! Slight redness on the skin, but that was normal — and no bumps! Very happy with the service and will be coming back in regularly for all my waxing needs! Definitely ask for Kosima :)

First time to come here for a brazilian. Amanda was my waxer. She was fast, thorough, and clean. My skin was smooth, 1 – 5 stray hairs she missed total. This was the least painful wax I have ever had, using some dark purple soft wax. Total time 20 – 25 minutes. I will never go anywhere else. Best brazilian ever.

I lost part of my eyebrow! I’ve been getting my eyebrows done professionally for years and I’ve never ran into this issue. I was so excited to have a place to get my eyebrows done in my building. When she finished waxing, she showed me my eyebrows in the mirror and to my shock she had taken off a good chunk of the inside of one eyebrow. When I tried to point this out, she pretended like it was normal. It took months for it to grow back. Never again!

By far the best wax I have ever gotten!!! Thank you Tiffany!!! I’ve been waxing since 19 years old and have waxed at different places including Haven Spa in soho and Harlem Skin Clinic and this was the least painful wax!!! Not to mention it was my first wax after a 10 month maternity leave from waxing (LOL) you MUST ask for Tiffany! Definitely will be coming back!!!

I’ve been using EWC for 10+ years — but this is a great location. Tiffany was excellent — really communicates well, asks what you are looking for and is very thorough. Booking specialists were very patient as I kept changing my appt time. Would definitely come back to this location and see Tiffany!

I was skeptical about trying a new place, but this will now be my go-​to for brazilian waxes. Tiffany was amazing. She was quick, professional, and gentle. My usual excruciatingly painful waxes were made bearable (if not enjoyable) because of her. They also give a discount to first time customers. PS. Buy the «No Scream Cream» on Amazon.

I have been going to the European wax center since it opened in LIC. Tiffany is great and she has gotten my eyebrows to where I wanted them to be and really listened to what I wanted..

What a relief to have a clean, well-​run waxing salon in the neighborhood. It’s not cheap, but I was happy to pay a fair price for a great full leg wax. Ask for Nekesha — she is *the best* — friendly, professional, and thorough.
