This place deserves all 5 Stars! Best burger I’ve had in NY! Simple little Bistro with a nice selection of draft beers and whisky… The Bistro burger is the way to go with a side of fries. I also had the shrimp wrapped in Bacon which was fantastic! I shall be back once I’m back in NY.

There is no place more deserving of 5 stars in LIC(for what it is) than this place. This is not a fancy Italian trattoria. This is not a sheik Asian-fusion restaurant. This is a neighborhood dive bar burger joint, and it does that in the most visceral way. When I walked into this place I half-expected the cheers theme music to come on. That’s exactly what this place was. Just a solid neighborhood joint. The service could not have been any friendlier, and I was treated like a local who’s been coming here for years(I haven’t). As somewhat of a burger connoisseur, I can honestly say that this was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was so brutally simple and just exuded everything a classic burger should be. Medium rare ground beef blend, raw onion, melted cheese galore, a fresh tomato, crispy bacon, lettuce, and a simple toasted sesame bun. Throw a little ketchup on this bad boy and wow, just a superior and almost historic burger experience. In a day where some places are trying to make the burger into some sort of gourmet fare, this place just does it right. The cole slaw was out of this world as well. Plain and simple, this place is not for the douchy or the socialites. This place is for the simpletons out there like myself who enjoy a casual atmosphere, friendly service, and quality grub without any twists or frills. Will be coming back here regularly for cold beers and the best burger in LIC.

This is one of the best burgers you can get on Vernon, and their delivery is fast too. When I decide to eat at the restaurant itself, I typically sit at the bar. They have McSorley’s ale and dark on tap. Good happy hour specials. During the summer, they even have tables outside if you would like to dine al fresco. OH, and by the way — their side salad is fresh and delicious. I’m surprised at the negative reviews. This place makes a consistently good burger, with decent beers on tap, crispy french fries, and dependable/good-natured service. If you are looking for something gourmet, you won’t find it here. But what they do offer is pure gold.

GETTHEBISTROBURGER!!! Best burger I’ve ever eaten. I honestly don’t even know or care what else they have on the menu. Every time I go I get the Bistro Burger, french fries, and beer. It’s perfect every time.

Ever since that one episode of «HIMYM», I have been curious about the burgers at Corner Bistro. It turns out, they really do make a great burger. The menu states that their patty is unseasoned, but I tasted a light seasoning, although that could just be remnants of whatever was cooking on the grill prior, which I really do not mind(I’m classy that way). They also offer delicious wings, gut-busting chili cheese fries, and McSorely’s ale which is a plus. My friends and I felt just a tad out of place here though; it was very quiet for a pub on a Saturday night… not because the house wasn’t packed, but because everyone was using their indoor voices and even the tv and music were turned down quite low. I’m not sure if this is a «thing» here or maybe we are just a ratchet bunch of animals. Since the hostess was nice enough to not shush anyone, I suppose it’s the latter. I can’t vouch for the other locations, but this Corner Bistro made me feel like I was in a Philly or Boston pub, to give you an idea of the vibe.

A solid, no frills place to get a very decent burger. I’ve gotten both the regular hamburger and the chili burger, and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The burgers are nicely sized(8 oz.) and always cooked to order(at least they have a knack for medium rare). The chili burger can get, well, a bit messy — but if you’re ordering a chili burger, you’re typically expecting to use a napkin or two as a price for the burger-chili goodness. If you’re looking for a low-key spot to a beer and very satisfying burger, with a courteous waitstaff, this is your place.

Not worth it. My bf and I ever starving and passed by it and it smelled so good. We sat down had a beer and our burgers came out fast. The burger was not juicy what so ever. VERYDISAPPOINTING!

I love this place for a good burger. I don’t think the prices are completely fair but the food has yet to disappoint me. I am pretty picky s out the burgers j eat and this one is a solid one. My bf likes the chicken sandwich and we love the coleslaw! Anytime we are in the mood for a good burger we end up here.

I used to go to the west village corner bistro, but for the last Manhattanhenge I went to this one and it was even better that the regular corner bistro burger! French fries were good, but the bacon and burger itself was DELICIOUS! I love it and I will go again if I am moving around the area.

DISSAPPOINTING… The burgers are really small and very basic. Had the chili and the cheeseburger. My suggestion… don’t go here… and if you are sitting outside… maybe pop in and remind them that they have customers waiting! Details: Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was semi occupied. very quiet inside. There is outside seating, which was empty, but on a nice summer day, why sit inside?! Our waiter sat us outside, gave us menus. We waited about 15minutes and no one came so we left. As we live so close by and still wanted to try, we ordered in. The results… as stated above… below par! I have yet to find food that is better than my cooking here in LIC! ®

We came in at noon to order take-out. When we arrived, we were the only people in the entire restaurant, which had a sort of stale beer or mop water smell to it. After ordering, it took us 50 minutes to get a burger and a shrimp salad sandwich. We just sat at the bar twiddling out thumbs; it wasn’t until the 35 minute mark that we even got a «sorry for the delay» from the staff. We were hoping the food would make up for the wait, but that wasn’t the case. The burger was woefully overcooked, and had an underwhelming flavor profile. I was hoping that with their mention of their in-house grind that the beefiness would shine through, but this could have easily been a burger from your company cookout. I didn’t try my friend’s shrimp salad sandwich, but he said it wasn’t very tasty and didn’t have much shrimp. Hate to give one star, but there was nothing redeeming about this experience.

I have to say this burger was much better than the one I had at the other location. The beer selection is a little weak for my taste, but the burger was very good.

I remember when we saw the signs with the«Coming soon» words, i was happier than a child in a candy store! With numerous accolades to its name as one of the best burgers in NYC, i gotta admit my meal here has never disappointed me not one bit! A nice sports bar as well, as ive watched many a Monday night football game here with my roomates scarfing away our burgers while taking advantage of the game day beer specials they offer. They have a great selection of beers on tap but of course the real storry here is their burger ! Packed full of flavors, spices & jucyness, skip the menu dont look back. Order the corner bistro burger with a side of sweet potato fries. It will have you leaving totally satisfied & looking forward to your next visit! and OMG their sweet potato fries! Its like candy in your mouth as each fry has a nice crunch to go along with a sugary sweetness to each bite! a MUSTORDER every time!

Kat is great as the head bartender. Very hospitable and attentive and welcoming. Corner bistro burgers are awesome especially with a McSorleys. Grilled chicken is also a great choice. Homely feel, will always return here not just for lunch during the work week but anytime in the area. Britney is cool too, awesome eye candy and great stories. Music is cool too.

Corner bistro. Its actually on the corner of the street. I walked by this past multiple times but decided to go in for lunch. The outside of the building doesnt have great street appeal as it is hard to see the inside of the pub. I had to double check that they are open for lunch. I ordered the bistro burger medium rare. $ 9.75. The staff was very friendly and it has a low key atmosphere during the lunch. Everybody that ate during lunch were regulars and I was starting to catch on the gem of this place. The burger was very good. I prefer the burger over pettys down the block. The waitress was nice and checked if everything was okay. The place has 3 tvs so I was able to catch up on my noon news during my lunch. The bistro burger isn’t a fancy burger but sticks true to the ingredients. 8 oz beef w/american cheese melted, lettuce, onion and 2 crispy bacon. That’s all, no fancy sause or special twist. I can appreciate a good burger and bistro burger is simply that.

Simple no frills menu. Just get the bistro burger, enjoy burger bliss and then get out. When I think of this place I think of the«how I met your mother» episode where Marshall is on his endless search for the perfect burger in NYC and ends up screaming at anyone that recommends the corner bistro to him. I’m sorry Marshall but this place really DOES serve a great burger. I don’t know if it’s the best in NY but still worth a trip. Me and my guy have come here a couple of times while waiting for seats at other restaurants on busy nights. Yes, we’ve had burgers before dinner. Yes, it’s awesome. Yes, I’m totally stuffed by the end of the night. Don’t judge us. You know you want to do the same thing. The first time we came, the burgers were perfect. Nicely sized patties, lettuce, onion, pickles, cheese and the crispiest bacon you’ve ever seen. What bacon dreams are made of. Splitting one of these is the perfect start to any night for sure. The second time we were here I was seriously disappointed because whoever formed the patties made them way too thick. My burger was a little undercooked for my liking but that I could deal with, it was the fact that the patty was too thick to properly enjoy without the whole thing falling apart. It kinda ruined my burger experience that time. I still love the burgers here and the laid back atmosphere. It’s a great spot to enjoy a beer and relax which watching a game and obviously getting a bistro burger and fries.

I’ve always been a fan and a regular of their burgers and their original West Village location, so one near home in LIC is nice! The one in the city is a cramped bar with few seats and tables to somewhat make it a restaurant. This one is a huge restaurant space with a nice bar. The burgers and chili though, just as good, actually great, and the reason why I like this place so much. It’s a simple burger, but good quality meat, and a good enough portion and thickness to cook well and make it the nice medium-rare that I like with a right juicyness, topped with a good type of bacon. Love this place, either location, this one better though because it’s bigger and the outdoor seating. But it’s alway a go-to for us!

My friend and I came here for dinner because her family owns this building/restaurant. We actually had planned to go to the city but at the last minute decided to come here instead. She pretty much«grew up» in this restaurant because she frequented this place as a child. We both agreed that the service during our visit was rather lacking. She has been here many, many times. It was my first visit here. The service was almost non-existent. Our waitress was rather passive/aggressive. It is understandable because we came here for dinner and this place was rather empty at the time. We decided to sit outside but had to switch tables a couple of times since the tables were very wobbly and our drinks kept spilling over. Our waitress was MIA for the most part. I thought she was just having a rough day but instead she was super friendly/chatty to the two tables next to ours. Oh well. The food, though, was pretty good. I had a late lunch so I only ordered a salad. The salad(baby spinach, blue cheese crumbles, kidney beans, sliced egg) I had was super good. We shared sweet potato fries(only $ 3.5)and it was so freaking good! The portion size is decent too. I would definitely order it again if I were to come here. For my next visit, I definitely want to try its burgers. They also have weekday HH from 4pm to 7pm. $ 4 glass of wine and $ 1 off any pint.
