Best place to eat on the east coast. Excellent food made by amazing people. Ive ordered food here by just asking their recommendations and have never been disappointed. Now that I no longer live in the area, it is the first place on my list to visit when I am in town.

Consider myself a total foodie and can’t help to write a review… which I never do… this deli is a 10. Spicy artichoke soup is over the top… others with me tried the barley soup… amazing too. Everything is homemade and one sandwich is better than the next. Owners were delightful. Put it on your list for sure.

Amazeballs. This food is fantastic. The half sub is big enough to fill me up without a problem. We ordered a fruit cup and it was so big that between me, my husband, and our daughter we still had some left. This is a wonderful find! Check this place out!

I really have nothing bad to say about this deli. The food has been good every time I’ve been here and I’ve been going for the past 5 years. I learned about this place when I started dating my college boyfriend, we would eat here a lot after our classes. The staff is very friendly and the food always comes out quickly. They have a variety of sandwiches to pick from including hot and cold. All the sandwiches come with a side of macaroni salad which is also tasty. They also have a soup of the day which is usually very good. Whenever I’m in the long branch area I try to stop here to grab a bite. Definitely a cute little place to grab food.

Honestly this place is great… Way better than Mr g’s used to be. Neil and his wife take great pride in there food and have always been kind to me when I used to work near there. Iove Sally’s favorite, as well as there pastrami sub. There Chicken parm isn’t bad either. Overall it’s a subshop with very nice people. Fair warning though it does get quite busy sometimes.

This place is a 10⁄10! Every time I place an order for delivery or order in store the service is always superb! The quality of the sub is always outstanding. Hands down the best sub shop on the NJ shore.

These folks know what there doing. Not much else you can says There daily specials are unique and food you don’t normally get in a sandwich shop. You’ll be bac for there bread, I understand which is brought in each day freshly baked. And what can you say bad about Neil, unless your not a Met and Jet fan. He is a lunatic fan just check out the memorabilia in the Resturant. You’ll be back again and again.

I just happened to be in the area and found this place. It is without a doubt one of the best sandwich shops I’ve been to in New Jersey having spent a lot of time in Brooklyn this is the closest I’ve ever come in fact I would say it’s on par with the best Brooklyn deli’s. I had the sautéed eggplant sandwich and I ordered a half which is huge so unless you’re really hungry A half will be more than enough fantastic place will definitely come back here again!!!

Awesome local deli to get a sandwich for lunch. Everything I’ve ordered here has been great and worth the price. I was definitely advise trying the T-Ranx or Sally’s Favorite. Rice Balls are also delicious. Owners are super friendly and rock!

FOODIE’S PARADISE! I moved to West End in August and quickly fell in love with this place. Their attention to detail won me over — I am now a repeat-customer(4 – 5 times per week) Everything they serve is a delightful experience! The soups and macaroni salad are legendary. The sandwiches and deli items(Rice balls with beef and cheese anyone?) are all made with high quality ingredients that stand out from the other run of the mill deli’s that seem to be everywhere…(Quiznos, Subway YUCK!) I still remember my first meal, the #9 roasted pork sandwich with sharp provolone and homemade pork gravy… It was so good i didn’t even drink my snapple because I couldn’t stop eating! NOTE: Finish your meal with a big chocolate chip cookie conveniently kept in bags next to the cashier. Breakfast sandwiches with homemade homefries served all day! Another reason to love Neil’s Kitchen! Neil and Sally have created the ultimate«Foodie» experience! Stop by and judge for yourself! My personal favorites: Spinach salad with artichoke soup(The dressing is spectacular) #9 pork sandwich Sally’s special

Neil’s was great! I had the Lisa — grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, spinach, roasted garlic red peppers, and balsamic. It was super tasty! The service was friendly too. I will definitely be back many times over.

I took Sue on a bit of a nostalgic trip to the Jersey shore. On the west coast where we live now we go to the coast. Growing up in NJ we went down the shore. This was a down the shore trip. We made our way from points south and found ourselves in Long Branch around lunchtime. A Unilocal search took us to Neil’s Kitchen. Sue wanted to go to an Italian deli. This was the closest I was able to do on this trip. We each got a sandwich and drink. I opted for Neil’s Favorite($ 7.50 for a small which was a good size). Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers topped with balsamic and oil. If I see this sandwich on a menu I usually go for it. It is a very simple sandwich, but still one of my favorites. The version here was good. Had plenty of meat and cheese and the roll kept up throughout the eating part of the meal.

Neil’s kitchen is my favorite. Their soups are the best. I especially love their spicy artichoke. All of the food is fresh and made to order. I use them to cater all my parties and everyone raves. My only complaint is that it isn’t closer!

Service was very friendly and good. I really enjoyed my sandwich also… but there was this smell that i could not explain that prevents me from giving 4 stars… you know that smell of your grandparents house, or the smell of a nursing home? that was it!!! i wish i had gotten my food to go because of it. sounds silly, but it bothered me. if you don’t think it will bother you, then i say go, because the food was good!

I got the T-Ranx and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m Italian and grew up with my family owning a deli… And this was still the best. Hands down greatest macaroni salad I’ve ever had as well. It was on the dry side with the perfect amount of mayo. I have never had anything like it. Highly recommend.

They get five stars for their macaroni salad alone. I wish I had brought a cooler with me so I could have brought some back home! They have a lot of set sandwiches listed on the board, and I had read some of the reviews beforehand, but I just went with what I was feeling when I was there: turkey, spinach, mozz, and roasted peppers. Everything tasted fresh, and the bread was pretty excellent as well. It wasn’t too soft, but not too hard either(I could have done with a little bit more bite, but my teeth would have paid the price later), and it comes with a tiny ¼ lb serving of their macaroni salad, which is the bomb. It is light on the mayo, has bits of carrots and celery, and isn’t mushy. I don’t know if they make their own pickles, but I don’t care, because they serve their sandwiches with a giant quarter spear! It’s relatively cheap — my half sandwich and peach Snapple was $ 11? If you want cheaper, you’ll get cheaper, and you know what I mean. I will be back every time I am in Long Branch… and with a cooler. Oh, and Risky Business was on their television when I sat down to eat. Awesome.
