Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
This is a great park — beautiful and quiet. Ample parking, even some in the shade. Two playgrounds — one for bigger kids and one for toddlers. The toddler area is fenced in. Slides, jungle gyms and swings provide plenty of entertainment. Restrooms by the basketball courts are clean. Lots of trees mean lots of shade. Lots of picnic tables for lunch. I would definitely come again.

Was invited to show up for classes, even though the session started the week prior, only to find out they charged me for the classes I never took.

The good thing about this park is that it has a lot of open area for kids’ birthdays or little festivities. It’s also relatively clean. The problem is (as with most park bathrooms) is that the bathrooms are not well kept, and there’s a distinct odor to it. I’d also prefer if they had more basketball courts. They only have one, which is seemingly always taken. Instead, I go to Mayfair Park for my basketball needs.

Wow! Its beautiful and quiet here!
They have a regular play area and a fenced in tot lot — sahweet! They also have a baseball diamond, tennis courts, and lots of trees and benches. Since it’s located inside of a little neighborhood, there is very little traffic on the surrounding streets (at least during the week!).
They have a community center (which I didn’t go in to) and another set of bathrooms back by the tennis courts.
I didn’t see a lot of other mommas here (besides the ones in my group) so your kids can run the playground easily!!!
Overall: This park is a hidden gem — if I lived closer, I would be here all the time!

It’s a small park with two baseball fields, one is is in pretty bad shape with a lot of holes in the dirt. There is a basketball court and and a lot of trees that provide a good amount to shade.

Long Beach, CA
I like Wardlow Park. It’s a decent size park in the middle of a neighborhood on Wardlow Street.
They have a huge community center with a kitchen and a stage that’s big enough to have a kids birthday party or a special occasion.
I’ve been to this park for several special occasions. There’s plenty of street parking.
This park has a lot to offer such as:
Kids playground
Spray park
Softball and baseball field
Soccer field for pick up games
Basketball court
Volleyball court
Tot and adult programs
And plenty of space for enjoying fresh air.
If it sounds like fun, then get out there and enjoy Wardlow Park. I know I did.
