The signature bowl is my favorite here. It’s so good! I get it every time I go to Beach Walk and I’m still not tired of it. It’s super filling with rice, black beans, chicken, cilantro, onions and tomato, topped with chipotle sauce. If you want less of a kick, ask for no onions :) On rare occasion the rice is a bit hard, depending on circumstance. It happens with rice! But again, it’s rare. They’d probably remake it if you asked as well.

I was feeling something light(fresh & healthy) and decided to try this spot for the first time. I ordered the chicken veggie wrap and I was extremely disappointed by the flavorless meat and veggies. It tasted like nothing. Seriously. Not sure if they forgot to season the chicken or if this is what it’s meant to taste like but I was confused as to why anyone would willingly buy this. Healthy food doesn’t have to be flavorless. pros: the customer service that day was great but I wouldn’t come back. I don’t feel like risking more money on a chance that this was just an off-day. It is a generous amount of food and could actually be your lunch and dinner. The wrap itself is huge and it includes chips + choice of pasta or fruit. However, do not recommend it.

Really great customer service here. I love to get the beach wrap and replace the chipotle sauce with ranch(bc I can’t handle the spice haha). You get a small side of pasta or fruit on the side for no additional cost. Nicely priced here! Would come again.

Avoid this place at any cost. The sandwich I got looked like it came from a lunch able set or something. The bread and other things weren’t aligned and it was literally falling over. Along with horrible presentation the taste was just so bland, and to make it worse I found a hair in my sandwich. I took it back and told the manager about it and she literally said«THATSYOURHAIR». And told me to leave. Excuse me??? I didn’t even want to deal with that horrible customer so I just went to the Panda Express and got an experience that blew beach walk away. Heck even a Starbucks pre made sandwich is better than this place. Wish I could leave 0 stars.

My favorite chicken caesar salad place! Everything is so healthy and good. They use to put the salad in togo boxes, but not anymore. The salads are affordable and huge! The only thing I have a problem is that the toasts that comes with the salad are hard as a rock. Sometimes they don’t give enough dressing, but you can always ask for extra!

This is my favorite place on campus. It is pretty much the best you are going to get to find something healthy here. I love the grain bowls! Only complaint is the service, I know we’re students but some people are down right the worst people I have ever seen in customer service. Well more like just one person, Jamie. So rude. Doesn’t care unless the supervisor is around than she is a sweetheart.

1 star for food, 2 stars total for general service(fast and friendly). First time ordering a chipotle chicken panini here, asked to make it vegetarian, which they did by taking out chicken and bacon and substituting it with avocado. I received it in 5 minutes! BUT here are my issues: 1. White bread, not sourdough bread. Was not even pressed thoroughly… 2. Kraft cheese instead of ‘cheddar cheese’. Was not melted/still cold… 3. Cold overall. 4. Watery tomato and avocado 5. Sloppy side covered, better-looking side up. This food was straight up Sh*t. I think the university is trying to save money with cheap-ass ingredients, but for how much I paid(7.47 $), I expect to have at least a REAL panini. I wish I took a picture of it but I was so grossed out and disappointed that after 1 bite and a few chips, I chucked the thing in the trash bin. I don’t think I’ll try anything else on the menu because of this dissatisfying and disgusting panini.

I’d give Beach Walk Café a 3.5÷5! This is probably my go-to place to grab lunch on campus because it’s the«healthiest». My favorite item is the Avocado Bowl! It’s a light lunch for under $ 5… Cheap and won’t make you feel like crap after! The only item you should stay away from is the chicken noodle soup! I bought it hoping it’d be a light and healthy option, but it literally tasted like I was drinking oil. Salads and wraps were pretty good from what I remember… The Asian Chicken salad is so flavorful!

Didn’t have time to go to lazy acres today and I didn’t feel like having pollo loco so I decided to give this place a chance and i kind of regret it :/. I’m pretty sure I make better sandwiches and wraps, I had the beach wrap and the turkey meat just didn’t do it for me. Nice try though.

Favorite food place at csulb. Love their strawberry salad and its only $ 7!!! Everything else is also fresh and you can see how they make your food. Best thing to eat during classes while stay healthy. The sides include bread, fruit, or pasta. Pulse everyone is nice. Idk why you would rather go to panda or Carl’s but whatever!

It’s my own fault for getting a salad. I tried the Cobb and cilantro chicken soup. The salad had two, maybe three, itty bitty slivers of avocado and they were black. I think they ran out of them or they went bad. Same thing with the egg, except it wasn’t black. The soup was decent, somewhat greasy or is that normal. I would give it three stars, but the high prices don’t help. $ 11 bucks for cup of soup and that salad. The sign detailing the student discount is covered by another sign informing customers of their lack of panninis. Otherwise you’re supposed to tell them you’re a student before they ring you up. It’s not like you have a backpack on and books in your hand and are on campus.

If I could, I’d give this place a 3.5…it’s not quite a 4 though. I’ve tried the Beach Wrap(turkey/cheese/avocado combo in a spinach wrap), the Chicken Club Wrap(chicken/bacon/ranch in a flour wrap) and the Turkey Pesto Sandwich(turkey/cheese/pesto spread on ciabatta). I’ve also had the Cali Cobb Salad, which has turkey, bacon, bleu cheese, avocado and a couple other things. All were pretty tasty, and sandwiches and wraps come with a choice of fruit, pasta salad, or baked chips. I always get the baked chips and just save them for later. I’ve seen the fruit and the pasta salad, and both looked pretty underwhelming. I think everything here costs $ 6 – 7, so it’s not the cheapest choice on campus, but it’s a good option if you’re tired of Carl’s Jr/El Pollo Loco/Subway/Panda Express.

Favorite spot for food on campus if I had to choose ! Runs a bit pricy, but I like how they make healthy eating choices easier and food is also yummy. I tried a variety of their menu items and so far pretty good. My favorite is the grain bowl, because 1) wholsome ingredients, healthy! 2) cilantro and onions make the world go around 3) cheap! its small but still good if you aren’t super hungry and it will fill you until your next meal :) Under $ 4 Sidenote: Fruits aren’t that fresh though.

The only«healthy» place on campus. I’ll grudgingly drink to that, but the hummus is runnier than a kindergartner’s snot and the sad, shriveled little fruit bowls are nothing to be excited about. Prices are not justified by quality; $ 7 for a limp ice burg lettuce drowned in dressing? Make sure you ask for dressing on the side… your salad will thank you for it. I want this place to be good because it has so much potential and a great concept. And stop skimping out on the peanut sauce in the thai peanut wrap, dear Beach Walk workers!

After the Nugget, this was probably my favorite place to grab lunch at CSULB. The Beach Wrap is probably their #1 item, and it comes with a pickle! Every time I ordered something else on the menu, albeit tasty, I found myself wishing I’d ordered the Beach Wrap instead. Not to deter you from their other choices though. Some of my other favorites included the asian salad(I like the little toast that comes with it), thai peanut wrap, and pretty much any of their paninis(though those take a bit longer to make, especially during the lunch rush). I like that you can get a little bowl of fruit as your side. I’d usually alternate between that and a bag of chips, depending on how healthy I was feeling on any given day. The biggest downside is probably the price. Their menu items are pretty expensive. It sucks that you have to pay over $ 6 for a wrap when you can go to Carl’s Jr. and buy a spicy chicken sandwich for $ 1. Such is life.

My favorite thing to get here is their Beach warp. When you order, you can get a free small pasta, fruit cup or chips. They also add a pickle with your wrap/sandwich/or panini. The Thai wrap would probably be my second choice and my third would be any of their paninis. Plus, if you’re a CSULB student you get a small discount!

My FAVORITE spot to eat on campus. I cannot get tired of it but being the poor college student I am, I can’t afford to have this everyday. The Smoke Panini(5⁄5): My favorite panini. The bread and sauce are so good! Cuban Panini(3.5÷5): They really pack in the meat but it’s a bit salty. Cali Cobb Salad(4.5÷5): So much stuff in one salad! Chicken Caesar Salad(4⁄5): Classic. Hard to mess this one up. Chicken Club Wrap(4⁄5): Lots of veggies and lean chicken! Delicious and healthy. Panini’s and wraps come with a pickle and your choice of a fruit cup, pasta salad, or chips. Salads come with garlic toast which are only two small pieces. Overpriced compared to the other fast food places on campus but well worth it to me.

So far I’ve tried the salad and the sandwiches. Now, all I have to say is… boring. The flavor is boring. Sure it’s a healthier opinion than Panda Expess next door but man give me some salt or hot sauce! Haha I gave it 3 stars because the Caesar salad was tangy and«no bueno» but the Turkey Pesto was alright. I’m just wondering, «what happen to the pesto part of this sandwich?». oh well… I’ll keep trying until I love or hate this place. So far I’m a neutral party.

Really the only option for fresh healhly(ish) food on campus. If you want your meal to be truly healthy be sure to ask for whatever dressing/sauce that comes on your salad or wrap on the side. Otherwise they will dorwn your meal in it and defeat the whole purpose of coming here in the first place.

I’d have to say that this is my favorite lunch spot to go on campus! They have a variety of wraps and sandwiches that don’t leave you feeling guilty after eating it. I’ve only tried a few of their menu items, and their ‘Beach Wrap’ is still the winner imo. It’s sooooo good! It’s like the perfect combination of turkey, avocado, and chipotle sauce! MMmmm. They also let you choose a side dish — macaroni salad or fresh fruit.
