When i came here staff was very unwelcoming, the surrounding place is messy, I had the carne Asada tacos and they were so chewy and had no flavor. They claim they have homemade tortillas which is probably true but when they made my tacos the tortillas wasn’t fresh and it tasted like it had been sitting out for a while.

It was late and was looking for a place to eat that was still open. Came across this on Unilocal and saw all the great reviews. We drive past it twice. Hard to see from the street. First thing I noticed was the tortillas being hand made. Love that. Next was nobody speaking English also a good sign. Since we were late most the salsa and drinks were gone. Also they all seemed tired and not happy to be there. Got my 3 tacos de tripas and they didn’t let me down. Not as fresh and crispy as I care for but hey I’m sure we were at the end of the shift. My girl got a quesadilla de asada it was also tasty and a good portion of meat. We decided that we will definitely give this place a few more visits hopefully we can bump the stars up to 5.

Everything with hand made tortillas, excellent flavor, and very fast. It is a taco stand but it has sitting area and clean restrooms available.

Very authentic and delicious tacos. Only thing missing is an Al Pastor trompo. Took my husband, brother and their dad after a Galaxy game. They are Chilangos from Mex city and agreed the pastor, cabeza and suadero tacos where the best. You know it’s good when the handmade tortillas are almost better than the filling! They taste like a yummy combo of corn and flour tortillas, warmed until toasty. Tip: salsas are on the hot side(as they should be), you can ask for grilled onions and chiles, and a quesadlla can be made with the yummy handmade corn tortilla masa or flour tortillas — and finally they have clean restrooms at the church they are located at that you can use. A bit hidden but completely worth it!!!

Best tacos I’ve ever had! Makes you feel like you’re actually in Mexico. The asada and al pastor are a absolutely must!!! The guac is yummy and most importantly, the tortillas are to die for!

The food here is %100 mexico style! It lives up to it’s name! I sometimes eat here 2 days in a row cause the food here is grade A. From the fresh handmade tortillas for the tacos or HUGE quesadillas to the quality cut meats. It’s pretty hard to find authentic Carne Asada now a days(meat that is burnt in a flame grill seasoned with all the ingredients) and they actually cook the meat twice here cause I’ve asked and can tell from the taste. All the salsas are all fresh and delicious. Plus the price for the food is very affordable. This is my favorite mexican food place in all of California and I’ve actually traveled around haha :)

The place was ok. Friendly and the set up was clean. Tacos needed flavor. The meat was a bit bland in my.opinion. Portions were good size though and there was a good variety in meats.

When your low on cash and need a quick bite, this is your joint. Parking can be hard if there’s church going on but the tacos are on point and worth the extra walk.

I’ve been on the hunt for Baja flavored tacos. For those of you who have had tacos in Baja. . You know what I mean. Thought I’d try this place out based on the reviews! They set up shop in the parking lot of a local church. Legit. Obviously it’s cash only. Quite a good selection of meats! There are several parking spots but don’t expect to get into one on a busy night. Had the asada, cabesa, lengua & pastor. Tacos were REALLY good but unfortunately not the flavor I am searching for. Have to say though, these are actually pretty good & Unilocal did not steer me wrong.

I love this place. Not a whole lot of local spots serve things like birria in my neck of the woods so it’s great to know they serve it right around the corner from where I live. The service is great. The young lady that takes my order is so nice and pleasant every time I go there. Food comes exactly how I’ve ordered it. The price is nice & inexpensive. Great place to come and eat at.

These tacos are everything!!! When I eat them I feel like I’m in Tijuana. I been searching for TJ style tacos my whole life. And I think I finally found them. They make the tortillas by hand and it has that taste you can only get from hand made tortillas. The meat is delicious without that fat/chewy stuff. The tacos are made with only one tortilla but trust me, that’s enough. Tacos are huge compared to taco trucks tacos. They are located at a Church’s parking lot on Carson St. Kind of hard to see but not impossible.

Tijuana style tacos. 1.25 each, and some at 1.50. I order a chorizo mulita, for $ 3.50 and it was excellent. They have three salsas to choose from, frijoles de la olla, cilantro, cebollitas curtidas con zanahoria, y pepino. This place is inside the parking lot of a church so parking is no problem. Some of the things like huaraches and quesadillas are really expensive($ 7 – 9) however that is the norm on this side of the border. Everything was delicious, would definitely come back. If you happen to go really late like me, some salsas will be gone or almost gone, and there was no more horchata, so that will be for next time.

I have been going to this place since I was a kid and it still tastes amazing. I brought my Filipino friend here for the first time and he absolutely found the food delicious, he couldn’t get enough! I always get al pastor tacos, you can’t compare other al pastor meat to this place, mostly other places just use food coloring or drench the meat in just chile for their pastor to make it look appetizing but this place has the real deal! Their handmade tortillas are the best part. We already had them cater for two of my family’s parties and everybody loved their tacos! If you ever decide to go here, try their al pastor you won’t regret it. Also try their spicy guacamole salsa, I have never tasted anything like it but here.

Pros: Absolutely delicious, hella cheap, and authentic. Cons: they sometimes run out of certain condiments or aguas frescas(fresh water). Experience: Let me just tell you that me and my family are officially regulars so now they know us. So our service somehow has gotten a lot faster lol. The tacos are so great and all the tortillas are made by hand by the evening because I came one morning for a Quinceañera where they gave us pre made tortillas. Their location is in the side of a church and in the middle of nowhere. Parking is tricky if you come when mass just ended. However the food is just amazing. Whether it’s the torta or the quesadilla the meat is on point! Conclusion: I absolutely recommend this place to go or to dine in!

Based on the one first review on here, I decided to check it out. I decided to scope it out one night AFTER just eating a full dinner of sushi. I was very full. Well, I drove to the church parking lot and pulled in, got out and looked to see two ladies hand making tortillas. It looked really good. I decided to try a taco… I ended up eating five tacos even after I just ate. Yeah, it was that good. The pastor, buche, lengua, asada were all good… but what sets this taco stand apart from all others are the flavors in those handmade tortillas. These aren’t just any handmade tortillas. If you’ve ever tasted corn tortillas used to make tacos in Tijuana, you will recognize that real corn flavor without preservatives… that’s what I tasted with these tacos. A definite try.

Tacos Estilo D.F. is located in the parking lot on the east side of the church. The food stand is only available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights rain or shine from roughly 6PM(sometimes a bit earlier depending on how fast they set up) to 11PM. It’s recommended to get there 15 minutes before they close so they don’t start closing up as you arrive. As for the food, oh my goodness are you going to be in for a wonderful treat. First off, it must be said that all the tortillas, be it corn or flour, are all homemade and are freshly made right in front of you. Off to the side is an area for you to add whatever and however much you like to your food. You have the option of adding beans, chilé, salsa, guacamole, cilantro, cabbage, onions, peppers, lemons, etc. All you can eat basically. And you can take your extra toppings with you in little bags which is also a plus. I personally go with the pastor tacos but recently tried the chicken quesadilla with a corn tortilla and damn was it soooooo delicious. I eventually tried the pastor quesadilla which is also yummy. There’s literally tons of options to choose from such as tacos, quesadillas, sopes, tamales, tortas, burritos, mulitas, huaraches, and more. Some of the meats they have are carne asada, pastor(pork), chicken, cabeza, lengua, etc. I do believe there’s more but they slip my mind at the moment. Also, they have homemade drinks like horchata, as well as, candy and sodas from mexico which are much better than the domestic sodas. As for prices, tacos for most meats are $ 1.50 with other meats being a little bit more. Quesadillas run around $ 3 and up depending on what you want in it. Other food options run from $ 2 and up. Oh and be sure to bring cash because it’s cash only. Well I guess that’s it for now. So if you’re in the area around the times the stand is open and want true authentic mexican food, do stop by for a bite to eat. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
