Taco Beach

This place is fun. There really isnt much more to say besides that. The DJ is always on point. Good food. I like how its casual, not like some of the other spots on a Friday & Saturday night. Its laid back and always crowded at night. Bartenders are friendly.

Worst taco Tuesday of my life. The drinks we ordered took 15 minutes to get to our table and to top it off they tasted like stale water mixed with alcohol. Worst bartender ever tbh. Secondly, we were hoping our tacos would make this trip a little worth it, but instead they were soggy and fell apart while picking up them up and also tasted watered down. The hour and a half long wait at tequila jacks down the way sounds like a breeze right bout now.

Just updating my review because there is no way for me to reply to the comment on my review left by Taco Beach’s manager Beatriz. I had the rude bartender on the night of January 4^th.

Love the bar tenders. If you come here make sure to ask for Alondra, Brenda or Beatrice. Came here for my bday on a Friday night and they made sure my night went great. Totally will come here again.

I visited this place on a Friday night. During the day this place is a restaurant and at night it turns into a lounge. This is a very chill place to hangout have a couple of drinks and maybe eat some food. I just had some drinks and they were good and at a reasonable price. Bartenders where quick and polite. There is a little dance floor and a DJ playing some great music hip hop, Regetton, cumbias and much more.

Great place to dance on the weekends! Went here for my 29^th Birthday and loved the margaritas and late night street tacos. Parking sucks but that’s it!

My drink was ok. And the happy hour tacos were horrible. They put so much lettuces and cheese on it and a couple pieces of meat. I wasn’t expecting much but I will not be back.

Food is expensive and fake Mexican food, drinks are expensive and the bathrooms are horrible!!! Couldn’t get in or out of the stall with my normal size purse bc they were so small there was a line for the handy cap bathroom and they don’t provide seat covers (nasty!) not coming back

The Chips and Salsa were pretty damn good. They should never sell «tacos» here again. But overall the spot was very nice, with good music and a dope vibe. The taller bartender is on point, the other one… well…I’ll leave it at that. Lol. Would come here for the beer the music the vibe and the chips and salsa.

Me and my friends was here last night and the pink panties was the bomb and food was good. We ordered carne asada plate, combo plate asada taco and chile relleno, fish taco combo and tortilla soup. Our server Aurora was very friendly and attentive. I only gave 4 stars because when we used the restroom it was clean but there was no toilet cover seat??? 3 stalls didn’t have. So I don’t know if it’s only that night we came they ran out or what? But there was no toilet seat dispenser as well so yeah I don’t know. But the food was great!

I went on a Internet Date here and Loved it. We had a $ 150 Tacos and $ 4 Margaritas.
The service was great, one of the two waitresses notified us that she was leaving and somebody else was taking her place. Good Service and Good Food!

First time here this past Sunday and most likely my last.
Our waitress was a joke.
On top of being rude she slacked on her waitressing duties and never came around to refill drinks or see if everything was OK.
Also, if you come here to watch a game don’t expect to get to watch it. When we asked if we could change the TV we were facing to a different football game she told us that we had to go to a group of guys sitting at the bar and ask them if we could change it because according to her they are regulars and they let them control the remotes and what’s on the TV. Smh

We were looking for something simple and fast for dinner and came across this as we walked down Pine Street. The chips and salsa were delicious. They have a wide selection of Mexican beers. I got the steak chimichanga, which I did enjoy, but it wasn’t anything too different from what I’ve had before. Service was fast and friendly.

Went to the long beach aquarium this pass weekend and we wanted to eat before. We walked pass this place and I love Mexican food and so my boyfriend and I decided to come here we wanted some drinks as well If you’re from here you know how the weather is. Anyways we stepped inside and there was no one to greet us and left us confused on how do we get a table? a man just said sit anywhere you’d like, we sat in the back near the restrooms. The chips and salsa were by far my favorite thing from this place. Other than that the service was terrible it took the girl working the bar to tell another girl to come over to take care of us. Her attitude was bad!
I’ve worked in the food business before and t doesn’t matter what’s going outside don’t bring it to work and let it influence your behavior because it’s not our fault you’re having a bad day. You have to be professional at all times and she wasn’t! she was blunt about what we wanted to drink and we didn’t even choose our own meal we were so over it but so hungry we decided to share three chicken rolled tacos which everything was cold so who knows how long it was sitting out. Anyways because I know how it is to work in restaurants I also tip graciously and honestly when she saw how much we left her that was the first time we saw her smile and utter more than 4 words. Never coming here again.

This place goes over board with the Mexican decorations. It has no A/​C and can feel like your in the kitchen rather than at the «beach» as the name suggests.

Now to the food — after taking a bite I realized the Baja fish was actually fish sticks and confronted the server about it. They took the food back and I was not about to order something else. The drink I ordered was traditional ochata, it was very hot and I didn’t finish it.
The server didn’t seem to care that the food sucked.
This place serves mostly the lunch crowd, the business men and women who mostly are not of Hispanic origin and do not know that the food here is very low quality. They are playing country music through out lunch time to appeal to the crowd.
Try your luck somewhere else. This is long beach and you can find good taco places everywhere.

I come here regularly for lunch since it’s close to work. The service is usually pretty decent and I know my co-​workers do like the aesthetics of the restaurant (and I’m not talking about the décor of the restaurant).
They are generous with the chips and salsa and consistently fill the chip basked without you asking. I often gorge myself on the chips & salsa before my actual meal comes, so I always leave feeling stuffed!
I tend to get one of the chicken salads and I’ve had the chicken fajitas as well. Both are decent. Is it the best Mexican food? No. But it’s close and it’s decent and will satisfy any Mexican cravings of mine.

The best chips ever and the salsa that compliments it is tangy spicy. We tried the Carne asada fries and it’s tasty. I ordered Baja fish and shrimp. I was surprised that it was not remarkable. It has more veggies than the seafood. It’s average in my experience.
My husband ordered the Alamo wet burrito. It was huge and good for two meals. My daughter has the cheese quisadilla. She said it was tasty.
The ambiance is nice. Very Mexican theme with the beer brands festively all over the place.
Worth the try just for the experience.

If you want bad customer service than this is the place for you.
Went to Taco Beach to celebrate Cinco De Mayo on my lunch break. It took the server 15 minutes to come over to greet us. I ordered chicken wings, 15 minutes later, my wings finally arrived, took my first bit and realize the wings were still RAW, literally still bleeding! My co-​worker had to go up to the kitchen and grab the gentleman who looks like the owner to let him know that the chicken wings are still bleeding (literally, onto my plate). The owner took the wings back, offering no apology (until we walked out) it seems like he had one of the bus boys drop my wings off once they made sure the wings were well done. Meanwhile, the entire time, our waitress never came back to check up on us. The bus boy did, the same bus boy that dropped off my wings. To be honest, I think the bus boy worked harder than anyone there. He made sure our drinks/​chips were filled at all times.
I don’t understand how a restaurant like this can stay in business with the kind of service. I will never go back. so, let this be a warning to you folks who plans on spending 10 – 15 bucks on a meal with horrible service and partially cooked food.

So… Taco Beach has been located on Pine for quite a while now and their food is always pretty good. Call me a creature of habit, but I always stick to my same thing every time I go. I’m so boring but it I love their Cesar Burrito. It’s a chicken cesar salad wrapped up in a burrito. The burrito is so big, that I always have enough for lunch the next day. Their chips are hot and the salsa is probably on the top of my list. Service seems a little slow at times but when the food comes out, it is always hot and fresh… so, I can’t complain about the amount of time it takes to come out. It’s not like I’m sitting there forever waiting for my food.
They have a pretty big bar area with at least 5 televisions with every sport game on every time. Their bucket special of buy 5 beers and get one free is my absolute FAV. They won a special place in my heart for that one. LOL! All the employees are extremely friendly and the establishment is clean. If you are in the area, wanting some ice cold beers, sports with hot chips and salsa… this is the place to try.
