Ive been a patient for about 7 years. Dr. James gives dentist a whole new meaning. Not only does she do amazing work she makes you feel like family. If your looking for a dentist look no further. This is the place to be. They are not out to steal ur arms, legs, fingers and toes. Dr. James shows compassion as well as skill.

So except for a couple of emergencies I have pretty much completely avoided going to the dentist for the last decade & have not had a regular dentist.
This office feels very different than a typical dentist’s office. The whole building has sort of a zen tranquil aura about it & it extends into Dr. James’ office. Dr. James has a great demeanor/​chair-​side manner. She is very warm & friendly and totally put me at ease. The assistant (Angie?) is also really sweet & has a great sense of humor & makes you feel super comfortable. This is the ONLY dentist office I don’t dread going to.
The price for all of the treatment I required was around $ 200 out of pocket here after my insurance. Another dentist quoted me $ 3500 out of pocket after insurance for the same treatments three or four years ago!
Since late November I’ve gotten all of my metal fillings replaced, gotten some cavities filled, had a broken tooth pulled & had two deep cleaning appointments… not bad for someone who has completely avoided the dentist for ten years! :) Dr. James & staff are just THAT fabulous!

Place: Modern & soothing décor help ease you into the experience. Office is very clean and offsets the unusual architecture where the business is located. Parking is not a problem at all.
Service: At first I was VERY put off by the lack of any greeting by front office staff. I stood by the front desk for 5 – 7 minutes waiting to check in. I could hear staff in other parts of the office so it was a bit irritating. When someone finally came up, they did apologize. Thankfully, Dr. James made me forget all about that. She is the gentlest dentist EVER. So attentive AND didn’t try to have a conversation with you while your mouth was full of tools!!! I still have a little more that is needed & so glad that Unilocal directed me to Dr. James!!!

I love Dr. James, and have been going to her since she was at her old office. She just has such a relaxed, laid-​back demeanor and goes out of her way to make sure I’m doing ok. When I told her that the area where I got a filling at my last visit was still a little sensitive, she put an extra sealant on at my next 6 month cleaning visit, free of charge.
I’ve had problems with prior dentists trying to push extra stuff to make money– whitening, more expensive procedures, etc., but I’ve never been pressured in that way by Dr. James and her staff.
The new office is beautiful– X-​ray machines at each chair, connected to a digital photo machine, flatscreen TVs that show dental videos at each chair, and everything is just pretty and new. I haven’t tried it, but they have a massage therapist who works there part-​time to help put patients at ease during their dental work. The therapist recently opened up her own studio, Everyday Zen Relaxation Studio right across the way, which I totally have to try when I get a chance.
I highly recommend Dr. James– she’s great.
