I walked in to this store and the clerk welcomed me and mentioned beer tasting for $ 5! Never heard or been to a liquor sore that did this which I thought it was an awesome idea, but couldn’t make it to the event. They have a huge selection of appreciable beer, and would of loved to have tasted a few. It was also in a convenient shopping center, so no hassle there, and no bums hanging out in the front either. Good place, I’ll shop again. If you guys can put up a sign of the beer tasting schedule, would love to know when the next time will be. And thanks for the unique and pleasurable beer!

This place is great all the craft beers i could imagine… its kinda like a 1 stop shop. they have everything lol. idk about the other reviews about the smell and it being dirty when i was there it was clean the guys that worked were very helpfull. best liquor store locally hands down…

I would give this liquor store no stars at all.
I bumped into this place because I was in need of cash back.
When going inside the liquor, my first impression was not pleasant. The products on the counter by the register were covered with dust and god knows what else. It was obvious cleanliness is not important to them or they simply have no customers walk in period.
I proceeded to buy something to get cash back. I asked for $ 40, and was given 2 $ 20 bills. Unfortuneately, 1 was fake ! Yes, a fake $ 20.
I didnt notice inside the liquor. It was until I tried purchasing something that I was told about the countrefit bill.
I called the next day to the liquor to speak with the owner. Instead of being helpful, he said it was not his problem.
This place has lost my trust and I recommend no one to enter this sh!& hole.

I have been here a few times now because of the beer selection. First off the place does smell and seems shady. I really wish they would put prices on their beers and would also check to make sure the beer is not expired. My last trip there was my last. Expired beer and room temp, no thanks.

Old school is an understatement when it comes to Paul’s liquor in Lakewood/​Long Beach!
This place smells like my grandma’s new jersey basement and has that musty– every pipe with water is leaking smell, Kinda how I imagine the dungeon in Super Mario Brothers 1st level smelled. Just get in, get your coins (lotto tickets, beer, etc) and get out!
