Number One Auto Center

My car went untouched for 1 week if I wouldn’t have called for a status update it would just been sitting there. All they said to me is were sorry. How sad and unprofessional that is. Please go somewhere else don’t go this awful place. I was even on hold for like 20 minutes exactly I know because I was checking my phone to see how long I been holding. Please avoid this place once again don’t just read this and be like oh its just another review I’m telling you because it’s true go somewhere else.

Do not come here! Horrible customer service the manager asked my mom if she had brain issues when we complained.
All because of the following
1. dropped of the car in February got 9 weeks later!
2. They painted the car a different color. My car was off-​white and they painted the repaired section pearl white. They said it looked better that way… Mmmmm ok how or why would it?
3. They asked for additional money for repairs claiming the insurance had not covered all of the cost. So I called the insurance and they sent me an itemized statement of what had been covered and how much it was very different than what Auto1 had given/​showed me.
4. They hit my car and wanted me to pay for all of the damages. Who does that?
5. 2 years later the paint on my car started to peel off turns out they used very very very cheep paint. Went back to complain and said I was crazy they had no record of that repair!
Please stay away if you absolutely have to go there stay on top of them make sure you review everything they will rip you off!!!

My insurance sent me to Number One Auto and I wasn’t sure about leaving my car there, but after talking to the owner Jose who was really nice and promise me I’ll be satisfied! Went to pick up my car today Xmas eve and I was so scare to see my car. I have to say wow I am happy with the work they did. Cosmo was great even though I know I got aggressive when I will call to check the status on my car. The staff is really nice also. The only thing I wish they would of did was call me and keep me updated I was the one calling. Overall I am happy. Thanks everyone!

This place charged me up front $ 25 for an estimate… who does that!!! I went to Fix It Body Shop better Service and 20% cheaper.

Mark is awesome. He was very helpful. He gave me an estimated time that my car would take to get fixed and he was prompt and on time. They even detailed my car. It was so dirty so I am very thankful. The gentlemen who work there and even the receptionist are very welcoming. Thanks Number One Auto for doing such a great job.

BEWARE! Never again go to an Auto Body shop where your car insurance recommends. Someone had hit and run my car leaving the driver side mirror completely off, and I had to come here for an estimate. I dropped it off overnight, hoping the next morning they will have the estimate done and I would have options to discuss with my claim adjuster. Nope, I called in the next morning and they said they would call me later in the day to give me the estimate. I waited all day, not a single ring.
Second day, I called again, they claimed they called me and told me they have done the work on my car. What the? Who does that? With what approval did you get to do the job? Because the mirror replacement cost is lower than my deductible, I’m paying it out of my own pocket. I’m a bit furious, and upset despite that it is a minor fix on my car. What if it was a bigger deal such as a transmission fix that would of cost nearly a grand to replace.
Communication here does not exist. I’m the kind of person if you say something will be done on this day and time. I expect it to be as said.
Final results, sure they fix the mirror but I have big ass scratch on the front of my bummer which wasn’t there. Sigh’

Love this place.
All the technicians are good and knowledgable. Service is good and efficient.
I have brought my car here following a collision in March (2015) and to fix my evap problems.
Great service, very nice office and friendly staff.

They took care of my 2013 low mileage Toyota Rav4 after I was rear ended hard. Everything was done in a timely manner, got updates, staff was very nice, and helpful. I even go back beautifully detailed!

I would give no stars if i can! They had my car for almost a mouth claming that the bumper that was delivered was the wrong one and that the were fixing other things and it was all a lie they ended up using my same bumper!

Not only did they STEAL the battery out of my truck, they «accidentally» snipped the ground wire to my battery, I gave them a chance to make everything right and they ended up giving me a BAD BATTERY, The ground wire was NEVER fixed (my truck stopped and I pulled over and noticed it) the battery lasted less than a month … I bought a new battery and the auto zone guy showed me that the battery was warped. Then I went back to have them fix the problem and they told me to give them a receipt for my new battery. They promised to reimburse me for the 129.00 dollar battery and I gave them the receipt like an idiot. The main guy in the front office took the receipt and even made a copy of it. He promised me this and that and now, I’m here, weeks later, with no receipt, no reimbursement, and pissed off. I naturally, called them very upset and all they can say is that they are looking for the invoice and they will call me when they find it. So, I call back again even more angry and I lose my temper a bit and now they are telling me that «you are done, Daniel ! Don’t call here anymore, go get a lawyer». And they hung up on me. Now they are avoiding all my calls. The big dark guy in the first office is the worst manager ever! They stole my battery out my truck! My truck was getting a bumper repair!!! They owe me 129.99 !!! Now they are telling me to get a lawyer. What would you do? I have a lawyer Jack Sagoyan, he knows about everything going on. He told me to take photos of my engine and truck body before I dropped it off at their shop. What should I do? Should I have my lawyer bend them over or let it go? These guys are shady and unprofessional. I wonder why they ALWAYS have a new secretary??? It’s always someone new … What’s really going on at number one auto? These guys are terrible. Karma will bend them over.

This place flat out blows! If you are going thru your insurance don’t bother coming here… they are slower than molasses in the winter time! I literally had my car here for a full calendar month, signed for repairs on the 1^st and picked it up on the 30^th!!! The hit wasn’t close to being totaled, they knew upfront it would require suspension work and likely a new axel yet were surprised when that was the case 3 weeks in! Communication also sucked and the manager there is a real bullshitter. I’d recommend Prestige Auto in signal hill!

I have been coming to Number One Auto since I moved to Long Beach in 2009. John has always taken excellent care of me. From mechanical to collision repair, I’ve had it all done here. All work has been guaranteed and they have always done an excellent job. Customer service is top notch. Honesty and integrity are the two most important things to me and Number One Auto makes these two things a priority. They have my loyalty!

They got my car looking like new. They also have other services as well like window tinting. Great customer service and they love to feed you! I highly recommend this place!!!

Do not take your car here!!!
I had my BMW repaired here a few years ago after an accident and the quality of their work is horrible!!!
I regret that I did not take my car to a better place. Their tow truck showed up first, so that’s why I ended up here. They replaced the front bumper with a different style, the paint job had flaws, the alignment of the front bumper was off, the alignment and tracking were never the same and the alignment of the hood was wrong. They completed repairs quickly, but it was too quick in my opinion. When they called me the first time to pick up my car I showed up and the hood was completely lined up wrong and so was the bumper, so I did not take delivery. I had them fix it, but they never got it 100% right. Also, a few days after I got the car back I had to take it back because the steering pump that they replaced began to leak fluid. They replaced the hoses and blamed it on the fact the new unit was to strong for the old hoses. A few days after that the steering wheel began to make a clicking noise while turning. I brought the car back and it wound up being the spring for the airbag that they had replaced. Needless to say I was not pleased. I no longer have this car, but was prompted to write this review because I just had a much better experience at a much higher quality repair shop. To put it in perspective it only took 4 weeks for Number One Auto to complete a $ 12,000 repair on my BMW and the most recent shop that I had to take my new BMW to took more than three weeks for a $ 4,000 repair. If you like your car do not take it to Number One Auto.

Number One Auto Center is an outstanding business, in my opinion. I would recommend them to everyone! Not only did they do a fantastic job fixing my SUV, they were communicative, cheerful, helpful, and did all the work in talking to my insurance company. They kept me informed the whole way through the process. They even made arrangements for for Enterprise, to pick me up and drop me off when my car was ready It is rare in this day and age to get the level of service and care that Number One Auto showed me. I really appreciated their professional and courteous service. I absolutely give them 5+ stars and would recommend them to anyone and everyone. They have a customer for life in me!
Corrine, at the desk was totally helpful and made sure she explained everything to me, John, (I think the service manager), completely detailed my car after the repair, and my passenger power window would not go up or down, When I got the car back it was working fine.
I can tell number 1 auto center wants to keep its customers… It will me.

If you read my reviews you know that CUSTOMER SERVICE is very important to me. This place has some of the worst!!!
I had my car towed here after an accident per the AAA towers recommendation … Big Mistake! They don’t know what they are doing. They don’t communicate with each other and apparently they don’t know how to use telephones or they just don’t have a problem hanging up on customers.
I was told they would give me a ride home. I waited and waited and waited… No one came. I asked the receptionist… He kept paging people over the intercom but no one came. I went back 3 more times! I was ready to walk home! A staff member told her that the guys she was paging were not there! WHAT!!! So the trainee receptionist drives me home. Awkward!
I don’t know if they do good body work. Maybe they do. But I would rather give my money to people who treat their customers with respect.

We’ve been here a handful of times, because my husbands car seems to get hit, a lot. We’ve had several decent experiences, friendly enough staff, prompt enough service. Nothing over the top, but they do good work. They’re a preferred shop of lots of insurance companies, which makes the payment part pretty easy.
Customer service wise they’re a little sluggish, takes them a long time to answer the phone, takes them a long time to figure out who you need to talk to, takes them an even longer time to find your paperwork or figure out if your car is done. This last time, they didn’t call to say the car was ready, which was annoying.
Initial quote on my husbands car was $ 400 for minor bumper damage, mostly cosmetic. When they got the bumper off, they of course discovered more damage, so it went up to $ 1100 but the insurance paid for it so we didn’t pay anything out of pocket.
Having to get your car repaired after a collision is never fun, but it’s almost painless here.
