A wonderful world of traditional Khmer cuisine. I came here with my Cambodian friends for what started as lunch but ended up as a banquet.

Not as good as it used to be. I remember coming here as a child and liking everything I ate here. The food is not on par with the other Cambodian restaurants in the area. It’s definitely passable. Service is great, but I wish I could say the same about the food. I ordered the student fried rice noodle. It was bland, plus my shrimp and squid were not fully cooked. Yuck. Hak Heang makes this dish a lot better. They have live entertainment every weekend. That’s nice.

Great food. They have the best beef sticks and beef anchovies. Great place for wedding reception.

Haven’t been here in years, and pleased to say that the quality of their service and dishes are great. Well, the waitress I had was very helpful. Price of dishes do vary from decent to expensive. I’d go again because I’m happy with the service received. Of course, with any larger Cambodian restaurant, be warned of the live bands. Though, I was actually able to hear myself think this time. Most places blast the music insanely loud.

Two of my aunts had their wedding here! After my aunts wedding the place burned down and now it’s newly remodeled. It’s cramped, the service is slow, but the atmosphere is great. The old man who helped my party was far too in a rush, there wasn’t a single«hello, what can I get for you?» Everyone looked upset and annoyed, I get it. Am a waitress myself. But leave it at home.

I had a couple of banquet dinners and lunch once here. I loved their food and this place always brings me happy memories because the banquets were always celebrating something — wedding, anniversary, birthday, etc. Cambodians have big families and they party hard with DJ, lots of booze, lots of dancing and lots of photos! The venue itself is pretty big and can fit maybe 20 tables with a big dance floor and a stage! It helps a lot that the food and service were good too. My favorite dishes are the cold cuts with chicken and bitter gourd, deep-fried quail, crab meat thick soup, Cambodian sweet and sour fish soup and veggie and crispy noodle dish. I’m pretty much mentioning every dish I had at the banquet haha. The service was really good too at the banquet! Servers brought out dishes at a timely manner and always remembered to take our plates away and refill the ice bucket! I enjoyed a variety of dishes from their lunch menu too including the congee and most of all the Phnom Penh noodle soup! The broth was so fresh and flavorful. Noodles were cooked to perfect consistency with fresh ingredients in the bowl! That’s a must try if you’re new to Cambodian food. The only down side was the neighborhood. I’ve seen bums around in the parking lot almost every time I went. Overall good restaurant with good food. I’m sure I’ll visit this place again soon. :-)

I am not Cambodian but I really like the beef bone soup that they give you with your order. I could eat just that with rice.

Food was great, a little over priced but overall a decent place to have a family dinner. Service was kinda slow. Live music entertainment while you’re enjoying your lunch or dinner. I would definitely come back.

Look this place is pretty good — depending on what you like. The interesting thing about this place the performers singing Cambodian music during your meal. Its on the loud end, which makes it hard to have a conversation. I ended up trying to have a few words between the music sets. My parents, did not mind this at all. They LOVED having loud music while eating. The soup broth, chinese donuts, and even the rice porridge is great. Pricing is decent as well! My only complaint… is the service. We went there for Mothers Day(yea I know), it just took much longer than normal to for food.

This place has bad communication and organization skills. Whats the point of writing down our orders if they don’t come out right regardless. Different servers kept bringing out orders that weren’t ours and when our actual orders did came, something was either missing or it was suppose to be a to go order. Also, at the beginning we sat there without any drinks for a while. Had to flag someone down and they wouldn’t take our orders they had to go tell our server that we needed him. Water should be a given right when we sit down! Also, if we order appetizers, it should come before our entrees! And omg their spring rolls was so huge and wrapped ugly! How the hell are we suppose to eat that without it breaking a part?! Had better Khmer food and experience at other places.

H O R R E N D O U S service! Upon arrival, my mother and I was greeted from what seems like a disorganized establishment. We were seated by a waitress that seem unhappy for some reason,(body language speaks VOLUME) she ask my mother and I, what we wanted to drink. I order a hot tea and two glasses of water. A couple of minutes later, she brings a glass of water and one cup of hot tea. When I said«I’ll like another cup of water and a tea cup,» she gave this glare, like I’m some idiot. From that point on, the service became awful. I ordered a large dried Phnom Penh noodle, along with the broth on the side and one Chinese bread stick. My mother ordered one small Regular Phnom Penh Noodle. My mother’s Phnom Penh Noodle came out first and about 5 minutes later they bring out my dried Phnom Penh Noodle without the broth?! A couple of minutes later, a waiter brings out the broth. Again, we waited for our bean sprouts and lime side dish for a couple of minutes. I had to flag down the waiter to bring out my Chinese bread stick. I am used to having an attentive waiter/waitress during my dining experience, no one came and checked up on us. The dish itself wasn’t all that good. The broth was okay, but the meat seems undercook, most Phnom Penh noodle I’ve ate were very tender, not chewy like this place. If you want the best Phnom Penh noodles, go to Phnom Penh Noodles on Cherry and 17th, but there’s going to be a line outside the establishment bc it’s B O M B! Phnom Penh Noodles on Cherry and 17th is the best in Cambodia town, been going there since I was a child. I believe this is the same staff from Cambodian Monorom restaurant on Anaheim and I observed the same male owner giving orders to the waiters and waitresses. Btw the décor is pretty bland, needs a lot of TLC. It has potential to be a very traditional Cambodian restaurant. I highly doubt coming back for brunch. Hopefully it’s better for dinner?

So I come here like all the time since my house is literally the block behind this restaurant. Prices are good here. I always get the Phnom Penh Noodles dry with the broth on the side. It’s always fresh. My BF orders thai boat and he loves it. We order these with the Asian bread. It’s called Chak Quway. Not sure how to spell it but close enough for me. It’s always bomb. Service for me always sucked. They take long every single time and never really come to check back to see how we are doing or if we need a refill on water. Regardless of the service, I still come often because I always crave their noodles. Anyway, LOVE the food. Do not like the service.

Decided to try somewhere different than the usual Grand Paradise Restaurant. Phnom Penh Noodles(dry) and a side of soup — option of small or big white noodles — mix of pork, liver, fish ball — seemed to be prepared upon order — not too oily or salty Chinese Donut — used to dip into the soup — nicely fried; soft and fluffy on the inside SERVICE: friendly staff members. Check-in for a for a FREE thai iced tea! Workers cleared plates soon after customers left. ENVIRONMENT: Probably the nicest atmosphere in Little Cambodia for Phnom Penh noodles. Remodeled not too long ago according to other Unilocal reviewers. The place is spacious. There is also live singers on weekends for lunch entertainment. Overall, great place to grab Cambodian food. Comfortable seating and clean environment. The prices are reasonable. Parking is ample.

The fried noodle(me ka thang) wasn’t to bad but I think the flavor could have been a little bit better. The portion wasn’t that much comparing to other Cambodia restaurant. So I’m not thrilled about this place as much. I ordered my me ka thang to go and the waiting wasn’t to bad. Waited about 15 min. The reason why I gave this place a three because of the portion size, the flavor and the call wait. Overall, this place is not bad, its ok. I’m just a fat kid who love to eat me ka thang. Yup yup, that’s why the portion didn’t filled me up lol. this is one of my favorite dish to eat as I’m growing up till now. You can never go wrong with fried noodle dish :-)

Nice to see this place reopen after being burned down… But man… I never do enjoy the live band on the weekends… It’s always EXTREMELY loud and I could never talk to my family when I eat. On the weekends it’s always SUPER packed. But on weekdays, this place is always pretty empty. Nice seeing Cambodian people spending time with family on the weekend so it’s a pretty nice sight. Chances are, if you’re Cambodian, you’ll bump into a friend or see someone familiar if you visit on a weekend. It’s just«that» kind of place where you’ll see someone you know if you’ve lived in Long Beach for a long while. The food is good but it’s not the best Cambodian food I’ve ever had. –Beef sticks were sort of tough. Wasn’t the greatest. –You could never go wrong with Beef lok lak with fried rice. Pretty yummy here! –Pretty sure all the rice dishes come with a side bowl of beef broth. Usually with a huge bone in the dish. Always delicious and a nice addition to my meal.

I came here with my parents for an early lunch around noon and I was surprised by the live band that was playing. I thought it was pretty cool to listen to live Cambodian music while you’re eating lunch. This restaurant is pretty big, but it lacks décor. There is a stage and a dance floor, and plenty of tables. I ordered the Phnom Penh Noodle soup and it was delish! It wasn’t too salty nor was it plain… definitely something I would order again from here. I don’t remember what my parents ordered but they also enjoyed their food very much!

Love this place. I would come here randomly after school because they have a weekday deal: $ 3.65 for either phở, Thai boat, or a plate of chicken and rice(depending on which ones are offered for the week, according to the waitress). Although their Thai boat does not genuinely TASTE the way Thai boat noodles are supposed to taste. It was still good and COMPLETELYWORTHIT.

The restaurant has been rebuilt since the fire and it looks amazing. I’ve always walked by this restaurant for years but never dropped in. I had their Phnom Penh noodles and ordered the Chinese donuts. It’s amazing that the donuts are fried to order and come out hot, crisp and ready to dunk in the broth. The noodles themselves are perfectly blanched and the soup is seasoned to perfection. I’m not fond of roast duck in my noodles, but it was a nice twist to the traditional fried piece of chicken.
