Came in for dessert. The service was good and friendly! I got the Latin lover crêpe which was really good. They put a lot of Nutella and bananas in there which made it delicious. My sister got the Romeo and Juliet crêpe which she said was really good. The place is really dark and the music is loud. It wasn’t too much of a problem but maybe turn the lights up a bit. this place is in a nice location and I would recommend it. I will be returning for some crepes next time I am in the area!

Meh. We got the Crêpe Madame and the Carbonara crêpe. They were both so rich, it was overwhelming, and not really in a good way. The Crêpe Madame tasted like a meaty pizza with an egg on it. I wasn’t a fan of it. I was expecting the crêpe to be nice and light, which is how crepes usually are, right? The bechamel sauce that came with it tasted like I was eating perfume or potpourri or something. I’m glad they put it on the side so I didn’t have to eat it. I liked the Carbonara better than the Crêpe Madame, but it was still super heavy and rich for me. Maybe I’ll come back for their dessert crepes but no longer for their breakfast crepes.

I had a great experience here! My parents come here all the time and talk about how great it is, why did it take me so long to listen? The restaurant is located in Belmont Shore on 2nd street, which is a great place to walk around before or after a meal, maybe before AND after if you eat a lot like I did. The restaurant gets crowded, so expect a wait if you are going during peak hours. I saw several tables around me go for just dessert crepes, and who can argue, they are rediculoulsly delicious. I went for a full meal, and I can vouch for everything that I had… all EXCELLENT. I started with garlic french fries, which is a signature item, they are french fries served with ketchup, ranch and chipotle aioli. My entrée was the crêpe carbonara, which is a filling meal that has chicken, smoked bacon, and mozzarella in a creamy garlic and parmesan sauce with pesto — A+ grade. For dessert we had the Martinique crêpe, which is bananas, ambeed with dark rum, brown sugar, and butter, served with vanilla ice cream. My wife loves crepes, call her an aficionado, and she called this the ‘best crêpe ever,’ I found it tough to argue — A++. I had a great time here, I’d highly recommend that you give it a try.

My beautiful friend Grace L shared her certificate with me so my bf and I went for a late lunch. It wasn’t crowded, so 3:30-ish is a good time to go. Bf loves crepes, so he had the seafood one with a caesar salad. I had the salmon nicoise salad and onion soup. I loved the soup and like the salad. There was nothing wrong with the salmon, but it just lacked something. Bf had the Belmont Brewing Co(local) strawberry ale, which smelled and tasted like strawberries. The prices are reasonable especially considering the prime location. Wine is priced well with most bottles in the $ 25 to $ 30 range.

Good restaurant with consistently delicious food! I’ve been here maybe 4 or 5 times and every time is just as good as the last. PARKING: parking around 2nd street is pretty rough but there are meters and street parking if you circle for long enough SERVICE: decent! Not anything over the top but pretty efficient and polite workers FOOD: ahhhh crepes so good! I get the French Riviera(chicken, artichokes, cream sauce, and tomatoes), there used to be a lobster and crab one that was AMAZING, or anything really. I got the caprese sandwich one time which was good but probably not worth the $ 12-$ 13. Crepes are generally $ 12-$ 14. The dessert crepes are bomb too! My favorite is definitely the bananas foster one. La Creperie is a keeper!

This place is one of the few gems that offer sensational dinner and dessert crepes. I’ve been going there since they had the second location on Pine and wow, they never cease to live up to my palatable standards. The service is amazing. I mean, everyone is so attentive and polite. We used a groupon with ease. My all time favorite crêpe: the carbonara. Omg it’s so good! And it’s a huge portion that I shared with my friend and had enough left over for the next day lol My favorite dessert crêpe is thee red velvet! Yes! I love red velvet cake so the extra chunks of cake pieces really adds that extra feature! Thank u for the once again pleasant visit!

Phenomenal! Took the little lady to enjoy some sweet crepes for dessert and a bottle of champagne this past Saturday night and we loved the experience! We ordered the Argentine, a crêpe filled with Dulce de Leche and seared ala crème brûlée. The second, and my favorite, was a banana rum crêpe with ice cream on the side. This one was AMAZING! The ambient was super cool too, low lighting and live jazz that was easy on the ears + permitted good convo. Love the place, we will be back every time we are in Long Beach!

I always come back to Le creperie when I’m feeling for some amazing atmosphere, great service and yummy food! I’ve never encountered an entrée here I didn’t enjoy and I do not remember ever having an annoying kind of service! I’ve been here many many times. My favorite is their Parisian(it’s very filling though ladies! Bulgy belly after the meal, for sure). I love their peach iced tea and garlic fries as well. Clams for appetizer is also a favorite! This is the place I take friends when they’re from out of town and wanting a nice place to catch up in. Or if I’m taking a loved one out for lunch/dinner: I love the décor and their music on weekends. The restaurant has a high standard feel but prices are affordable for quality taste!

We were meeting up with a cousin who was in LB from St. Louis and were supposed to met at the place next door but their wait was 1 hour +. Not wanting to wait that long we ended up here. So glad we did. We ordered drinks, they had a good selection, and had my favorite Hefeweizen. I ordered the cheese plate. All of the cheese and jams were really good but I think it could have used some crackers to spread it all on. For my meal I ordered the Depollo with chicken. It was amazing! So full of flavor all the flavored I enjoy and the portion was large. I had to take some home. It was still as good the next morning. They have a lot of options to choose from on the menu I can’t wait to return and try some more. They had a duo playing music which was a great touch. I recommend this place. Perfect for date night

It has been almost 2 years since the last time we came here and the menu has changed a bit. The food is still good like always. The place was quite for a Thursday night. There was an amazing pianist playing while we were eating. Bonus points — we were able to watch the NBA playoff from the Bar TV while we were eating. The server was very friendly and was very quick with our drinks and food. Would i come back here? — I am not in a hurry. The place hasn’t changed much.

Originally the reason I came here is because I purchased a Groupon. I assumed the Groupon could be used anytime because I had read the fine print well enough. I figured we were already there, so we might as well enjoy some good food. My mom ordered the half chicken Verde sandwich with a cup of French onion soup. The soup came with a lot of mozzarella cheese on the top. The sandwich was a little small, but tasted delicious delicious. I ordered a chicken spinach salad with raspberry dressing. On top of the salad were sliced apples and lots of sliced fresh strawberries. It was topped with candied pecans. The salad is a very generous size. The freshly grilled chicken is sliced and placed on top of the salad. I found the chicken to be a little bit dry. Although, the entire salad worked and was fantastic. The combination of the sweet nuts and fresh fruits mixed in with the spinach and that delicious dressing was awesome! To drink, I ordered the peach iced tea. It’s not sweetened so you can add as much sweetener as you want. For to go, we ordered the strawberry nutella crêpe. It honestly didn’t make it home! Anyone that knows me, knows I’m a sucker for a really well-made crêpe! The batter base of the actual crêpe was good and not too sweet. I thought it was over done, which costed to lose it’s soft fluffiness. The feeling is generous and made with fresh strawberries. The chocolate drizzle is lovely! The entire meal came to about $ 39. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful. I couldn’t help but look around several times. The chandeliers had a beautiful touch to the place. I particularly love all the framed mirrors that’s around the interior. The staff work very hard. Amanda, hosted us to our tables and helped us throughout our meal. She was very kind and thoughtful! I’m looking forward to coming back here.

I really enjoyed the two different times I’ve tried this place. Came here the first time on a Sunday afternoon for brunch with my girlfriends. No problems with customer service, the servers were nice. If you’ve got a sweet tooth like me, you have to try the dulce de leche crêpe! OMG! It is a thin slice of heaven filled with caramel and whip cream on top, LITERALLY! I would definitely come back to have that again. Their garlic fries are great. Then I came another time for dinner with my sister. I had the chicken, pesto one… I don’t remember the name of it, but it was delicious! I found out you can also have any of the savory crepes as a pasta as well, but I guess that defeats the purpose of eating at a crêpe place. Lol I’d recommend this spot for those reading this review! ;)

Another spontaneous evening well-spent here at the La Creperie Café! The host was super nice to us & my friends’ dog, Bruce. She was able to accommodate us & sat us right away at the front, outside dining area. It isn’t the biggest, and it’s mostly for guests with a pet. Thankfully, everybody around us enjoyed having Bruce. Plus, my friends giving him a treat helped out a lot so he’d behave! The host & our server, Bree, were wonderful from beginning to end. Without asking, our host was kind enough and went out of her way to bring out a bowl of water for Bruce. How sweet is she?!! And then, Bree took our orders and kept us in check the whole time, regardless how busy it was for a Saturday night! Thanks, girl! Everything we asked for, she delivered! Surprisingly, we didn’t have to wait to be seated. Score! It was an overall great customer service! I did take off a star for parking like always, anywhere on 2nd St. AND the party happening next door was a bit loud as they constantly kept doing sake bombs. They were nice at the end though. Till next time!

03/05/2016 First time here: On the dark menu: The stallion(lacked crêpe flavor) St germaine(lacked flavor) To your health(super deelish) Mimosa We sat inside. It’s nice and dark. The crepes itself was thick and hearty, not like other crêpe places we’ve gone to, but it was a little dry and lacked taste. The mimosa was ok. The only thing we truly enjoyed and would come back for was the To Your Health crêpe. They don’t serve chai lattes, just variable amounts of coffee. The music is chillout. Definitely a comeback spot.

Overall 3.7 stars — ding for a couple reasons. Our main entrée was almost cold– been sitting not the ready counter for too long — would have been good if served right from the grill. Food took a long time to prepare– waited almost 40 – 45 minutes after initial order. Fries and calamari were good — must try. Dessert crêpe was good too — overall would return but reduce expectations on service and food prep time.

Awesome place, my wife and I came to this place to just enjoy an after valentine desert. We stepped inside and were quickly drawn to the lounge area with its long couches and mirrors. Normally, you can’t order food in that area but the waitress was very kind. We ordered a crêpe made with bananas cooked in rum with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Although it was one dish the presentation was for two. It was absolutely delicious. Additionally my wife ordered hot chocolate made with milk and a touch of cinnamon. Waitress brought her hot chocolate made with soy. The waitress let us keep the drink and made it again for her. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were awesome!

Great savory crepes !!! I got the one with shrimp(I forgot what it was called). Their crepes are pretty big too so it won’t be bad if you wanted to share. Their fries are a must! I must say their prices are kind of high, but I think it s worth it because you don’t see many of these around. at least I haven’t found any. The décor is really cute inside, and it might be hard to find since I remember I had to park a little far.

Ordered the savory crêpe Suzette and the carbonara crêpe. Both were delicious. Carbonara crêpe has a lot of chicken, was pleasantly surprised to find chicken inside the crêpe too. The cream sauce and extra pesto as well as grated Parmesan cheese was perfect. The crêpe Suzette was a simple folded crêpe with butter/lemon dressing along with two dollops of whip cream. I would recommend that you eat this one relatively quickly as it can get really sweet when the crêpe soaks up the dressing.

This is my second time coming to La Creperie. The first time I came it was a Saturday night and it was very crowded, we sat outside so I couldn’t really hear the music inside. I tried a lemon crêpe which was ok, not my favorite. I loved the café au lait so I decided to give it another shot and try a different crêpe. I came to have dessert with hubby, we shared a Napoleon crêpe today. This is a sweet crêpe filled with custard and strawberries, it is also torched with sugar on top and a side of whip cream. It is heaven on a plate, why does dessert have so many calories? I wish I could eat a whole thing by myself instead of sharing. This was a delicious crêpe, the burnt sugar gave it a nice texture and the tart strawberries were perfect with the sweet custard. I will be back soon to try this again and maybe the tiramisu one as well.

I’ve been meaning to try this place, but it’s usually always crowded. The worst part is that they do not take reservations, so most nights from Friday to Sunday after 7PM warrants an average of two year wait time. The interior décor is really nice with wall painted like scenes from Paris and there are chandeliers hanging from the top. There is an outside patio that is heated and it does a great job of keeping you warm. As for the food, I started with a Salmon Nicoise salad. It tasted decent and the portion was pretty big. The highlight of the meal was their crepes! They have got to be some of the best crepes I’ve been able to find in Southern California. Our savory crêpe had salmon and a delicious white wine sauce drizzled on top. My favorite part of the meal was the dessert. The dessert crêpe, wow! I shared the Napoleon Crêpe with my wife, which consists of a light crème brûlée filling inside with fresh strawberries. The crêpe battered wasn’t too thick or thin and the outside was lightly caramelized with more strawberries and whipped cream! If you want a great food experience in Long Beach, I would have to recommend trying this place once.

This is more like a 3.5 star kinda place. It’s something different compared to the many Italian, pizza, gastropub, and New American-type places on Second Street. We came here around 7pm on a Saturday night, and there was no wait, so I’d suggest getting there around that time to be seated immediately. I noticed the place started filling up over the course of the hour and a half we were there, and by the time we left around 8:30pm, there were people waiting. As for the food, I enjoyed my meal. We got the mussels and garlic fries to start, and I ordered the Dipollo crêpe, which was filled with mushrooms, chicken, and TONS of mozzarella, with a sherry cream sauce. Like I said earlier, I enjoyed the meal, though it’s nothing to write home about. The mussels were tasty enough, the garlic fries were decent but not outstanding, and my crêpe was fairly enjoyable. It was very heavy, though, which I didn’t love, but that’s what I should’ve expected from a cream sauce-based crêpe. My boyfriend loved his French Riviera crêpe, although he’s into hearty, heavy foods, and we have different tastes, so it suited him more. I think I walked away from my meal feeling like the food was just okay. Nothing about the meal excited me, and even as I type this review, I feel like I’m writing more out of a sense of obligation, because I need to write more reviews, rather than out of a sense of post-meal excitement or a need to share my eating experience. It was just okay. I would, however, like to note that the décor is pretty cute, lovely tapestries all along the walls, dim lighting, a warm intimate feel. There was a chandelier and a Christmas tree in the corner, and live music playing. It all made for a very festive feel, which put me in a good mood. Our waitress was also quite lovely, and I liked her. The food was a little slow to come out, but that was okay, given that I expected such from a French place, plus it was nice to have a leisurely meal.

I’ve been to La Creperie a few time times and I do enjoy their crepes! At first, I thought it was unique to have crêpe as an dinner entrée, to see how they spice it up with chicken/cheese, I feel like its very similar to having a pasta dish. Since this is located on 2nd street, parking can be a pain. You may get lucky and find a nearby parking with meters, or you will need to turn down one of the little streets and find parking lots that averages to $ 4 for 2 hours. I feel that everyone is a fan of sitting outside on the patio to people-watch. I’ve sat inside and outside, and I would say it does seem a lot more lively outside. The décor is great, with the big giant mirrors. Service is good, depends what time you arrive. I few times, the host would seat us, and it would take a long time for our waiter to arrive that someone else would actually take my drink order. I would totally recommend this place for a date night and then be able to walk up/down 2nd Street to some local bars or sweets!

This review is long overdue, but just thinking about the last visit makes me want to come for another one soon. I never really had«French» food until I came here. My fiancé and I came here to check out the crepes– I never had savory crepes before but I really wanted to give it a try, they just looked so aesthetically pleasing. The décor seemed odd, but we were feeling the jazzy music. FOOD: Got the El Chorizo Breakfast Crêpe and cappuccino. The chorizo crêpe was amazing! The crêpe itself was light and fluffy filled with this savory filling of chorizo, potatoes, scrambled egg, mozzarella, cilantro and salsa! Ughhh, it was a blend of perfectionnnn. The cappuccino was okay, kind of bland, it just looked pretty. SERVICE: Service was okay, nothing I could really complain about.

I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love… but perhaps this peachy and fuzzy sensation I feel at the core of my chest is what others consider to be love. I’ve come here several times over the past couple of years and I’ve always found myself leaving completely and utterly satisfied. My heart… my oh so tender heart seems to find refuge at La Creperie Café. Parking here is like hair in my cornea, highly irritating. However, like some, perhaps you can go a whole day without noticing. I typically find parking in a neighborhood relatively close by. Not only are the houses pleasant to stroll by, but there is much to be beheld on 2nd street. You’ll find there to be plenty of cute shops and vendors to do some eye shopping on the way to the Café. If you’ve found yourself to be one of those without a reservation and stuck with a wait time, these shops will serve as a perfect outlet to pass the time. One thing that I’ve consistently ordered here is the Al Mare. I’ve sampled other savory crepes here but it did not resonate with me with as much intensity as the al mare did. This item is what I consider to be the twinkle in this café’s eye. Just as it captivated my heart, I believe it has the capacity to captivate all those who dare to feast upon it. With the meaty shrimp, creamy sauce, gooey cheese, earthy mushrooms, and tarty fresh and sun dried tomatoes, every bite will prove to be an explosion of flavor. The depth of flavor is as deep as the ocean but it doesn’t taste overworked. However, I do recommend sharing this with someone else. I usually find the al mare to get a bit heavy towards the end. The garlic fries with the three dipping sauces are spectacular. These fries are players!!! Being a man of integrity, I truly believe in committing to one person at a time… but these fries are bad to its core. Committing to not one or two… but three sauces??? How can I possibly approve?! I can’t help it though. Perhaps I just can’t resist the lure of these bad bad fries. I’ve had multiple sweet crepes here at this café and none of them disappointed me. If you want to finish your meal strong, I highly recommend you treating yourself out to one of their sweets. I mean, how can you walk away from a crêpe restaurant without filling your belly with some sweet crepes? It would be madness I tell you. Sooooo come on by and treat yo self. You won’t be disappointed. Also!!! They do play live music during some nights. It’ll only serve to enhance your entire experience.

I’ve been here twice The first time I went here was years ago and I remember walking away thinking it was alright. I went back recently with my sister and mom for brunch and thought it was pretty decent. We came in on a Saturday at about 11:30am and there was no wait. We got seated immediately. Once seated, I ordered the French Riviera crêpe. It came with chicken, artichoke, tomatoes, cheese, and was topped and drenched in a creamy sauce. I thought it was way too creamy and soaked in sauce for my taste. They definitely used heavy cream. Also the chicken was flavorless. But overall it was okay. My mom went the Al Mare, which is a crêpe with huge shrimps, sun dried tomatoes, cheese, mushrooms, and a lobster cream sauce. Hers also had a lot of sauce but the sauce for this one tasted better than mine. We both only finished half of our crepes since the portions are so HUGE. My sister went with a greek salad and ordered some bread on the side. She liked her salad. She also had an espresso worth mentioning that was good. The crepes run about $ 13-$ 15 and all the portions are very large. These crepes are not light crepes. They are very filling and heavy. I like that their menu offers a huge variety of crepes, such as breakfast ones, lunch ones, and dessert ones. They also have burgers, soups, sandwiches, dinner plates(like lamb), and waffles & omlettes. It’s one of the few places in the area that offers crepes so its worth checking out. As for service, our waiter was very friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job. We all really loved the décor of this place. It has an old bohemian look to it. They also have a piano which gives me the impression they have live music sometimes.

Came here with a Groupon deal on a Saturday morning(9:30am — side note you can’t redeem your Groupon until 10am). I informed our waitress that I was going to use one and she still provided me great service from start to end, which I really appreciated. The high rise ceiling, large mirrors, and chandelier gave the place a nice rustic French ambiance. You have the option to sit at the table, tables with couches, high rise tables, or bar. I ordered the Alaskan Crêpe and El Chorizo Crêpe. Their crepes are made to order with fresh ingredients. Clearly, if you like chorizo I’d definitely recommend the chorizo crêpe as the crêpe is stuffed with chorizo and egg. On the flip side, the Alaskan Crêpe is filled with egg, tomatoes, capers, and a lot of cream cheese. Those who don’t fancy cream cheese stay away from this as they are extremely generous with it. However, those who love cream cheese, like me, I recommend cutting your crêpe(cream cheese is in a square block in the crêpe) into pieces and evenly distributing the cream cheese as it compliments the eggs and gives it a creamy texture. One savory crêpe itself, is very filling. The sweet crepes are on the small side. Good breakfast spot to sit outside with friends and a nice casual morning breakfast date in the inside as it is dim and a bit sultry feeling.

Went here for lunch with my sister. The restaurant was packed when we arrived — however, we got seated immediately. We ordered the Al Mare Crêpe, an escargot, and a garlic fries. Everything came out within 15 minutes and the server constantly refilled our water. We really enjoyed the Al Mare Crêpe and the escargot. The escargot came with sliced baguettes to eat along with the garlic butter. The crêpe was huge, creamy, and filled with shrimp. I enjoyed it a lot, however I got a bit tired of eating it because of the creaminess. The garlic fries came with three sauces: ketchup, ranch, and chipotle sauce. For some reason, we didn’t enjoy it too much. At the end of the meal, we paid by using a Groupon deal. The waitress brought out our check and forgot to apply the discount twice… We had to point it out to her twice until we got it resolved. Overall, we had a good experience eating here and hope to be back soon to try other items on the menu.

I haven’t been here in a few years, and when I came back recently, it seems like everything is still the same! I’ve been here for dinner in the past, but this time, I came for brunch. We ordered the St. Germaine and the Spinach Feast, along with some garlic fries. Garlic fries were great and had lots of flavor. The St. Germaine and Spinach Fest both tasted very similar to me. I’d have to say that although their breakfast crepes are a lot less heavier than their dinner ones, it’s still a little hefty(we had to take most of it home to go). +Service was good. Food came out really fast +Outside patio. There is outside seating facing the street. Very nice on a sunny day, and dog friendly as well. –Food is a little heavy, but that’s all depending on your preference.

The CREPES are HUGE& I love it! My favorite savory crêpe I recommend is the Al Mare, which is a huge crêpe stuffed with tomatoes, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and a lot of HUGE shrimp, smothered in lobster cream sauce.(Did I convince you yet to order this? lol) Definitely you will get full from it. I wasn’t able to finish it by myself. For appetizers, I recommend their garlic french fries. Their chipotle aioli and ranch dipping sauces are delicious! Come here for dinner because the french ambience is cute and they have live music! Perfect place to impress someone on a date lol ;]
