Great service. I had a pedicure and an eyebrow wax. My eyebrows turned out great without even having to give any detailed description of how I’d like them.

They were so nice and paid special attention to me. I am from out of town and they treated me like I was a regular. I felt at home. Plus my nails turned out beautiful.

Thank you Vicky for having us in for my daughters birthday! It was a great way to start our day!

Been coming here on and off for years. Quiet corner shop friendly people and reasonable prices. They have even waxed my eyebrows a few times and u was not disappointed.

I have been here several times now & King Nail & Spa are of global standards & a very loving & high standard. You leave feeling invigorated, looking amazing & seriously my hands & feet always leave looking & feeling younger & smooth.

Methinks not is right.
I had a pretty terrible experience at King Nail today, and I will surely never return. I only went here because my usual spot (Queen Nails) was closed, and I had promised the young lady I mentor that we would get our nails done.
The Good:
— we arrived at around 5 on Sunday, and they seated both of us right away
— decent selection of colors, but Queen up the street has more
— my manicure was not too bad
The Bad… goodness, where do I begin
— immediately as we walked in they tried to up sell us
— everyone was incredibly rude
— a gel manicure is $ 25. I asked for a regular manicure and was told it would be $ 12 plus $ 10 to remove the previous manicure… so a total of $ 22. Are you kidding? $ 22 for a regular manicure? I mentioned that I would be writing a Unilocal review and they knocked it down to $ 17.
— my mentee left with a bleeding cuticle. they also lied to her about how «easy» it would be to remove a gel manicure vs a regular manicure.
— they quoted me a total of $ 27 and charged my card for $ 30 :-0 THE HELL!
I could actually go on and on, but I think you get the point.

Came in for my first gel manicure. After spending nearly two hours getting my manicure-​my nails look terrible. The polish was all over my skin and cuticles. I asked several times for the manicurist to fix it and she continually argued with me. She eventually did attempt to fix it-​but instead of cleaning up the polish she started buffing down my nails! I was furious I had already been there an hour and a half and now we had to start over on one nail. Completely awful. Finally after I was extremely frustrated the manicurist in the next station got involved. He apologized to me and told me he would fix my nails. I had zero time since I’d already gone over my lunch by an entire hour-​but he asked me to come back and said he’d fix them. His name was Mike-I’d recommend asking for him.
Update to my earlier review. I went back to have a gel manicure with Mike. Unfortunately I can’t give my review anymore stars. While he was much nicer and MUCH quicker, I think I was done in about 45 minutes-​the manicure still wasn’t great. The gel was bumpy and misshapen on almost all my nails. I am totally new to gel so maybe me expectations are too high but all my coworkers get gel manicures and they don’t seem to have the same issues. Honestly I am never going back here. Wasted $ 50 plus tips, my nails are peeling and weak, the gel only lasted 10 days both times. Also they play crappy too loud radio station that was way more static then music.

Had a great experience! Mike did a good job. :) he made sure to touch up all areas to make sure it was a clean finish. The gel color #5 is perfect for the holidays!

Great place to go get a good relaxing pedicure last minute and close to hotels downtown! Loved relaxing with them after a long day of work!

This is my third time in here and I can’t say enough nice things about the salon. Every time I come in, everyone is so nice and helpful. On top of that their gel manicures are bomb and stay on for at least 2.5 weeks! Think I found my new long beach nail place

This was my first time coming to king nails and spa. They are very affordable and the ladies did a great job on my friend and i’s mani/pedi’s. I will definitely be back!

Mike did an awesome job on my nails and this was my first time being here and took care of me right away there was no waiting. This is forever gonna be my new place for my nails.

Very nice staff my coffin shaped nails were done by Mike very nicely and I was treated very well by staff, Vicky. They have an entire O.P.I. selection of the best colors!

I usually get gel nails. But This time I got acrylic nails. The guy recommend to add a layer of gel. Of course at an extra $ 5 charge. The wonderful thing is that I got them done last month ⁹⁄₆ and my nails are still intact So I’m going back today ¹⁰⁄₅ to refill them $ 35 totally worth it + tip.

I came in about 10 min to closing time. Friendly service. Dolled me up. I’ll be back.

With that said what a joke! Worst nail place in LB!
Upon entering I asked this women how much it would be for a pedi and a acrylic overlay she quoted me $ 48 which is a bit pricey for what they actually did. She didn’t even cut my cuticles for peats sake and when I go to pay the man that was really rough BTW with my gingerly fingers said that will be $ 53. How are you now charging me $ 5 more dollars he says because he had to take of the gel! BS he did not even soak my nails off just filed them like when they put on the acrylic he didn’t even have to put fake nails on!!! NO TIP for them and that’s what I told them as I walked out I really felt like handing him $ 40 and walking out!
Do yourself a favor do not go here. And the older women was even laughing at the patrons so trashy and unprofessional!!!

I highly recommend this place. Easily the best Mani pedi experience I’ve had in a long time for reasons that will surprise you.
The hotel spa was full but recommended king Nail. I called at 3 for a same day opening because I was meeting my husband for dinner. They booked me in at 3:15. I hustled over (10 min drive) and found parking right in front for get this, —- 5 cents for 6 minutes, 25 c for 25 minutes. Thing is, max is 24 mins. So I paid and went in. As my feet are soaking I ask my aesthetician nicely to put some change I hand her into the meter. Not only does she do this happily with a smile, the next few times I see the meter expire, she fishes change out of the cash and pays my meter.
I was parched from my rush over I asked for a glass of water. Unfortunately they didn’t have any glasses, so my aesthetician returned with a diet cherry coke from the fridge, at no cost!
We chatted happily about kids and pop culture and travel. It was a warm relaxing experience. Her colleague did a great job with my manicure and took her time. By five I had to blitz to meet hubby, but they were so worried about their work they paid my meter again and calmed me down and made me sit for another minute under the uv lamps.
I left a huge tip because they went way beyond and put the «service» in service! I was so grateful. I hope to be back next time I’m in long beach!
