I didn’t know kims closed at 630 so I was that pain in the ass that called at 500pm for an acrylic set! ugh I felt so awful when I got there and saw the business hours. Kim made me feel better about it because she was happy to have me as a customer. She introduced herself, she was kind and her work was good and quick with good attention to detail. She even let me dry my nails after until 630 ! I think I found my new nail artist Hey Kim! New set $ 40 !

creepy and dirty and hardly any good gel colors got a gel on Saturday afternoon — it looked a bit muddy — and sure enough last night(monday) it started to pop off — two nails popped off so I was able to peel off the rest in about a minute. anyone who gets gels knows that that stuff if done right is very hard to peel off, especially after 2 days… it was also $ 25 when everywhere else is $ 20AND I just went back to ask for a certificate to use another day because today I have no time and am leaving for vaca tomoro and they wouldn’t give me one — said I had to do it today… very bad business and will never go there again… no wonder they are the place that is never busy — that’s how ended up there on Saturday — every place else had a long wait… they were deserted…

Love it here. One of the few nails salons in the area, and I’m glad. Staff is friendly, wide variety of options, professional, experienced and not too pricy. Great for summer time because it is right off the boardwalk of Long Beach. They’ll do any design you ask.

It’s a good thing I don’t live here so I don’t have to worry about ever having to go back here again. The pedicure was incredibly rushed. Between when I sat down and when my feet were done — five minutes, if that long. I get pedicures every two weeks at my usual salon back home, and it’s a minimum of 20 minutes for a pedicure. She was also quite rough when pushing back my cuticles on my toes. Once they were painted, she asked if I wanted regular top coat or quick-dry — and quick-dry was a dollar more! Outrageous! I’ve never been charged for a quick-dry topcoat. A gel topcoat, certainly. But a regular polish quick-dry topcoat? Never. The fill-in on my acrylics, though, was the worst I’ve ever had. The girl did nothing but tell me how poorly my nails had been done and that I needed a new set, and did NOT use acrylic powder and liquid to fill them. Come to find out this is a common practice — glue & powder nails. This has lead to streaks and pooling around my cuticles, which are very visible. You can see where they«level off» with the nails I already had on, and I am so displeased about that. She also asked if I wanted my nails shorter(they were pretty long but I liked them that way) and when I said yes, a little, she started in on them with a nail clipper rather than a nail file, and they are far shorter now than I wanted them to be. I am so unhappy with the service I received. Though I left a tip because I feel that she did do her job and probably did it the only way she knows how. I am really sorry I didn’t wait until I got home to go to my usual salon and even sorrier I have to wait until my next fill to fix the mess this«salon» did on my nails.

It’s just okay as Tara noted. The spa pedicures are very rushed which obviously isn’t very relaxing. If the lady next to me didn’t talk so much to me during my pedicure it would have been even MORE relaxing! Oh well! haha Manicure chipped that night which always makes me angry!
