I’ve had the pleasure of having appointments with both Dr. Johnson and Dr. Shimizu; both dentists and their staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgable. They want your visit to be as easy/​comfortable as possible and you as informed as you can be on your procedure. I’ve had my first root canal with them, and after being taken to a string of nightmarish/​unfriendly dentists through my childhood, it’s a great comfort that I’ve come across this office. Also, much thanks to Diane (sp?), as she has helped many times during my appointments as well.
It should be noted I’ve been on this site for years and I’m pretty sure this is my first review. I really felt the need to let Unilocal know that they’re the best!

I tried a few dentists in the area before settling with Dr. Shimizu. He is very knowledgeable, explains things well, and shows care for his patients’ comfort. He is personable and easy to talk to. Office staff are friendly and I have never had to wait long for an appointment.

Have been a patient of Dr. Johnson since the early 2000’s, where she practiced in my then-​current local dentist’s office. The difference between Dr. Johnson and the other dentist was completely noticeable… much better comfort, more thorough, caring, and precise. She worked on my teeth as if they were her own. By the second appointment, I had asked if she would be my permanent dentist, and requested appointments with her only.
I don’t know exactly how many years it’s been, but I have driven WELL out of my way countless times since then. I’m really impressed by her new office. Everything is state-​of-​the-​art, in a great location (lots of dining and shopping). Obviously recommended!

Dr. Shimizu and his staff are great, highly professional, and always friendly. He has been our family dentist for many years, and we have decided to follow him to his new office in Long Beach. We would recommend him without a doubt!
