Tonight was a wonderful night until a bar manger Matt was so rude to my husband he handed him $ 20 at the end did not give change back, when ask he told my husband to go away like a child! How you treat a customer like we are a piece of shit, wtf, it’s not for the change it’s the principle! Who put this guy in charge of the bar, we have been loyal customers to this place for years and Matt is so rude, he ruined our perfect evening. I hope he get educated for his attitude. Thank you Ashley I hope you will talk this guy! Just because of you Ashley we may give this place another chanceIt might be awhile, brings bad memories right now.

This could really be a great place but trying to get a drink is a nightmare. It ducks! If you are not a hot guy then good luck. You will be ignored. I hate to give bad reviews because the band was really good.

The food is not great but the place is really cool for drinking and dancing. I went with a bunch of ladies and danced the night away to 80’s music. Waiters were friendly and attentive. Have dinner before you get there and your on for a great night.

I had a blast last time I went, older crowd. Drinks 6⁄10 live band was the best part… People down to earth and civil, over downtown Fullerton and downtown Santa Ana way to many immature dudes trying to start fights and sloppy females stumbling all over the place. I’d come back here anytime.

Eh, good place for s first date… They don’t have a great craft beer selection… Or beer selection in general… I drank corona and it was nice to chat, but come about 8:00 this place was hopping, got louder, the crowds came in and it was time to go. I looked over the menu and nothing was appetizing, I noticed that other customers were not eating and only drinking, so that’s something

3.2 Stars. Reasonably priced drinks. Good 80’s band on Friday nights: Knyht Ryders. However, NODRESSCODE. Men came in last 4⁄15 in long shorts, wearing Jerseys, & adidas flip flops with socks on. I thought I was at Shannon’s. The proprietor has been successful attracting the LBC’s various types of clienteles.

So tonight(April 2, 2016) my boyfriend and I pull into the parking lot to eat at the Gaslamp. We haven’t been back here since 2012 when I worked here and I remember the food being good. When we pull into the lot the men in the lot(parking attendants?) tell us that it’s 10 $ for parking. We’re like heck no, we just wanted to come for dinner we’ll just turn around. The guy tells us there’s a concert being hosted there but since we came for dinner he’ll waive the parking fee and to just tell them they we’re here for dinner. We park, walk up, get patted down and bagged checked by security and meet the door girl and a bouncer. They tell us it’s a 20 $ charge and we say we’re just here for dinner. They say it’s still 20 $. I mention that I used to work here and the bouncer asks when. I told him back in 2012. He tries to call me a liar and say he’s been working there since 2007 and never saw me! He’s so full of sh*t! 1. I’m not going to lie about working there! I hated it because I had a list of 2 pages to do as a freaking hostess! I came in at like 3pm they opened at 5 and I never finished that stupid list! And 2. He was NEVER there since 2007 and if he was bouncers were ONLY there on Sunday’s when they had concerts that had a lot of the bikers. I called him on his bullsh*t. So, we just said that we’d leave since we’re not paying 40 $ on top of buying dinner! That’s stupid! The door girl says it’s fine and we can just go inside. Next stop– the hostess stand. We ask for a table and one of the hostess tells us they’re booked for the night and their next set of reservations are at 9 but if we wanted we could share their large table with other people. I asked to check out a menu to see if it was worth it. All of a sudden this large black man in a suit runs up to me, towers over me, and asks me if I used to work there. I told him yea. Again he asked when. I said 2012. He tried to call me a liar(AGAIN!) and said he’s been there since 2007. What is this their favorite line?! I told him I worked there when the hostess stand used to be just a STAND to the left with a chalkboard on it! He LIES and says the stand has always been to the right since 2009. He keeps trying to call me a liar and say I lied about working there to avoid paying the door fee and that many people claim they know the owner and that he’s some type of «private investigator». At this point I’m livid! All over some effing dinner?! I’m not«avoiding» the fee, we said we would just leave! After that the hostess asks if we still want to eat. I said no and we left. I’m NEVERINMYLIFEGOINGBACK. That was the absolute worst experience and the bouncers are absolutely pathetic! We ended up running into the parking guy in the lot and he asked what happened. He told us if we wanted he would handle it. It honestly wasn’t worth the hassle. We just went straight over to Lucilles.

Came on a Thursday night(country night) Pros: friendly bartenders/doorman/DJ Cons: small dance floor. It was awkward to enter and exit the dance floor due to small space between bar and dance floor. Be cautious floor is extra slippery. I was surprised to see kids in this place. One of the kids knocked over my beer.

Fridays: Great band plays mostly 80s early 90’s Crowd 30’s and older, what you expect seeing the music. But at least it’s less 21st bday parties. Drinks could be better. Standard well drinks. A little high priced for the quality of alcohol. Wouldn’t kill them to have more specialty drinks. Served in glasses. Sometimes they will serve you in plastic cups. Downside: THEYHAVENOAIRCONDITIONING. There’s a crowd. There is dancing. Gaslamp please invest in an air conditioning system.

Bartenders are extremelyyyyyy rude and the 80s music they choose is terrible. I can deal with the music but not the bad service. If you complain about anything like not getting a drink in 2 hours or your food, they kick you out. instead of making their customers happy. Even if youre complaining to a friend and a staff member overhears it. You’ll get kicked out. They can care less about the customer and just want to take your money. Never coming here again.

My husband and I came to the Gaslamp on a Saturday night for the first time. It was a very mellow house, full of happy people. Dinner was delicious, my husband had the short rib, I had the Salmon . We sat near the stage and had the pleasure of listening to 4 live reggae bands, they were all awsome. We ate, we drank, we danced. We had a fantastic time. Service was ok. We will return to the Gaslamp with family and friends.

I had an amazing experience this past Saturday for a punk rock show. To see some legends. There was a bathroom concierge whom was pleasant and attentive and there was a waitress named Joyce that noticed my boyfriend and I had been waiting patiently to be addressed at the bar and she was very expedient and friendly. I asked her for a recommendation for a drink to which she suggested a ginger ale and tequila mix and it was refreshing. This experience was better than my first time at the GasLamp. Also I lost my sterling silver and brass chained bracelet in the crowd and the security returned it to me immediately. The establishment has definitely improved on their customer service. I’ll be back with friends.

I came to the Gaslamp with a few coworkers for a Friday night out. It was 80’s night and Knyght Ryder was the 80’s band rocking out. I paid $ 10 at the door for cover and the place was already packed by 9 pm. The crowd mix was interesting because 80’s music resonates with multiple generations. That made it for a very fun dance floor. During the bands break, the DJ turned up the music with modern music. There’s tables if you come early and the patio area has plenty of seating if you want the ability to hear the person next to you. 3.5 stars upped to 4.

Good music. Good vibes. Cool décor. Path to bathrooms is insanely packed. Sardine style. But service is lacking. The waitresses were very nice but just like I read online, drinks can take forever! 20 minutes for an ice tea and long island. Sliders were ok. Their house salad withbaslamic and goat cheese was outfuknstanding!

My sister made reservations for her birthday party. We arrived and were seated. The waitress kept disappearing. She would take one of our orders and then run off. This pattern continued all night. I ordered the Parmesan garlic fries. They arrived 2 hours later. They were cold and were not tasty. We stayed for the band and they played for less than an hour and we payed $ 10 per person. The band played and disappeared. The place died as soon as it was 11pm. No one around. It was like a ghost town. When it was time to pay the waitress tried telling me to chase down the rest of the group to pay the bill. That isn’t my job. It really isn’t. It’s not my fault she forgot what they look like and the fact that we’re sitting at the table forever and she didn’t bring up the bill. Then my friend an I wanted to use the restroom. Apparently it was clogged and we couldn’t go in. The fuck? So we used the mens. Sorry guys. Not a good place at all.

It’s a pretty nice environment – older crowd. The food is pretty good. However, the short ribs is actually roast. The roast is good, but the menu is misleading. The staff is very friendly, however the service is very slow. The entertainment was awesome – we saw the Knyght Rider an 80’s cover band. They really got the crowd going. The music was spot on.

My boyfriend and I came for an early dinner on a Friday, so we were they’re first customers. Stephanie was our server and she was very friendly and was excellent. I order whatever was on special and she asked me what kind of soup I wanted so I assumed it came with my meal. When I got the bill it ended up being $ 4. The food was good I did like it.
